Never thought of covering the E on the A string when chugging the open E. Makes perfect sense, the octave sounds cool and it's an easy spot to play the pentatonic. Gold mate, thanks!
This is the fastest I've ever clicked on a video, gonna try this out in a couple hours.
This helps alot, just paused the video , But these videos help, Understood most stuff, Thanks for the help ! 🤘

So awesome man !
Phucking love thrash metal !!!
🤟🏻😈🤟🏻
One thing you might want to mention, is to get that "Metallica Live" sound, you have to go down a half step.
Hey Riff Master, love the videos. Any chance you could do a video of how you hold your pick and up close gallop technique? I'm working on my gallops right now and they just sound like garbage. Tons of string noise and no consistency with the alternate picking. Just feel as though the pick will always catch on the string, fingers are all over the strings etc. etc. Anyways, as always great job! Metal!
It’s all technique however way you hold the pick mate! So you need to start slowly also make sure you don’t have too much of the til of the pick exposed where you hit the strings
You Absolutely fucking machine bro haha
🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
I’ve got it at 90% speed with the track.. on a good day that is.. Just got to get that last bit of speed going!
Thank you for a decent lesson! What pedal name Did you use here? How to get that metal sound or that was the sound of Blackstar tube amplifier?
Struggling with this. I just cant do it quick enough or maintain it. Its the upstroke bit of the gallop that im finding difficult
WRONG, the main riff ends on G#, NOT A ;)
SOLID right hand, as always, cheers!!! :)

Kirk Hammett shows it in slow motion how to play it he called it "dead battery" it's a good instructional video check it out.

What guitar is that?
That is my Gibson 120th anniversary V
@@mattriffmaster do they have the stock pickups? Tone is incredible
No these are the emg james hetfield set mate
@@mattriffmaster awesome. You’re a beast
Where has the Chug-V been?
It’s here mate don’t worry
I learned nothing
it is not about that you can teach that to somebody, a person needs o be able to pick that up otherwise you wont be able to
You learn the theory then you have to develop the technique.
I can downpick Battery
