I can understand the lack of new details and destructibles because the game needs to run on most setups with a stable framerate and needs to maintain the best server latency to avoid unfair matches.
Dust2 isnt reworked in CS2, but other maps are, like Nuke, which is more detailed than it was before. But yeh I think another reason everything remains "static" is just because of the clinical nature of the gunplay & tactics not being affected by shit vanishing or moving around.
You guys didn’t remember CS Source. That thing got destructible objects and moving objects too. Seems like games are moving backwards now a days. That smoke looked like something out of CS1.2 the same thing happened to GTA4 downgraded to GTA5 in the physics department.
The smoke stuff is cool but I feel like they could have made the bullet holes in objects better. For example: the trash bag could leak trash when you shoot it or the cars window can crack when it's shot.
Yeah that would be really cool, as long as the timings stayed the same, iirc the time to finish the reload when you empty your mag is every eo slightly slower because they need to load one into the chamber, I'm not 100% sure maybe it's my memory failing
I think it could be a cool thing they could do like skins where you can get cooler looking reloads, but all it should affect is the animation. Every second in a game like cs matters and if I doubt it would be good for balance
i was thinking of the later the game is, the more aggressive players reloads the gun, from calmly thumb release on the m4 on round 3 to punching and slapping by round 14
I like that smoke has some physics in it but I see a small problem with the textures they're using and that there are gaps in it and if a player walks through it, you would see their feet.
Well yeah that’s the trade off. But ultimately how they’re handling the smoke here is much better imo since what you see on screen is what everyone else sees on screen..
The game could really do with some updated animations, I feel like the updated weapon models are in stark contrast to the stiff, outdated animations from 2012

Opinions on the game: I like how the skybox and raw distance are improved way better and you can’t see anything that looks odd. I do think the smoke could get improvements with the way it look and the tires and windows should break or deflate. The game looks great and I think it has a chance to retake its lead in the best tactical game. Beating valorant or Rainbow 6 Siege. So far, my opinion is positive
I prefer the lighting of CSGO as it makes the game look not so washed out, and have actual contrast. I hope that we'll be able to have CS2's light have this desired contrast that's present in the likes of Half Life Alyx, and in some screenshots of CS2 that makes me think it is in the game but depending on people's settings for it, the game looks like the washed out mess it is, such as in this video.
@@NhBleker cool, that doesn't mean that the problem with visibility doesn't exist. It objectively does and Valve have been working to fix it. CS2's visuals are the consequence of this work. And it's a step in the right direction.
I like more light and contrast in CSGO too . Better visibility is a good thing , but if you want perfect visibility , you can have only white and black enviroment and green characters for example xD And CSGO have very different feel much better for older players . Cs2 have feel like game for kids 6-10 years old .

It's most likely coming later, I think they just did the modeling and porting to the actual source 2 engine for the beta so now they're gonna work on things like the animations
Looks a bit more cartoonish, and that they just brought back the old shiny materials (glossy metals, etc) that used to be in source games but slowly got phased out for some reason
They’ll probably remove those new shiny effects over time, but right now they want to motivate people to shift to cs2. They did this to tf2. Crowbcat has a video showcasing it
Отсутствие скайбокса, как по мне, самый большой плюс, столько крутых раскидок появится, хоть и некоторые старые пропадут. Только сама графика выглядит странно, всё хорошо но будто бы забыли включить ambient occlusion у пропов, либо это исправят либо теперь это такой визуальный стиль. Дым крутой, но иногда его контур бывает на столько рваным что его можно спутать с игроком или не заметить игрока в этом рваном дыму, надеюсь это тоже исправят, сделав его более округлым по краям. То что в кс2 материалы пропов не правильные, типа у колёс машины не материал резины это не показатель, source2 поддерживает разные материалы на одой модели, просто их ещё никто не настраивал так как карты портировали с минимальными изменениями из csgo, где из-за ограничений source1 лишь 1 материал на всю модель, а машина и её стекло это 2 отдельные модели (такие костыли). И 3д звук на самом деле в csgo крутой (а в cs2 ещё круче) как и во всех последних source играх, просто разница более заметна в маленьких комнатах и на открытой местности. Здесь в приблизительно одинаковых по размеру комнатах звук не особо разнится.

В угоду красивой картинки, текстуры тали проще, нанесенных с помощью paint мелких деталей, совершенно пропали. Графика вся кажется игрушечной (кроме освещения) Освещение играет большую часть визуала, многие не заметят упрощения полигонов и текстур. А мне вот лично обидно, что графику сделали казуальнее.
Я не любитель CS, но новая графика мне нравится больше чем старая. Дым классный + новая фишка с рассеиванием дыма и прикольный визуальный эффектом при стрельбе в него. У персонажа наконец-то появилась тень и ноги! Правда ноги это врятли заслуга движка нового, уверен ноги можно было и старом сделать, но хоть что то новое :) (возможно ноги можно отключать в настройках игры, не играл не знаю). Взрыв от бомбы хуже стал как по мне, надо его сделать качественным, что бы террористы чувствовали победу свою при взрыве бомбы ;). Так же физика тел стала лучше, персонажи при смерти не выглядят как сопля. Про освещение я нечего не скажу так как это вкусовщина. Да карты стали светлее, но мне такое более нравится, чем тёмный оттенок.

The palm trees look completely out of place, almost like plastic. And they should add at least a bit ambient occlusion to the corners. Also, the smoke could use some ground shadow. Looks really strange at 1:00. Otherwise nice update.
I can't see what the big whoop is about it's just a brighter version of what we have now with different grenades and identical guns. In fact, ironically the original is actually more pleasant to look at

No solo se prestaba para diversas mecánicas, también daba una gran inmersión ver papeles, computadoras y cajas destruyéndose y volando por los aires. Incluso hasta elementos del mapa al momento de que la bomba explota, era demasiado genial y satisfactorio a la vez de ver. Pero claro. esto cambio en cs go, ya que lo removieron para hacerlo más competitivo. Newer engines, nevertheless how good lightning or graphics are, are always more optimized than older ones,source 1 is old and unoptimized, source 2 is newer and optimized, you will have the same performance with source 2 if not even better.
I liked the bullet impacts on CSS more.. also the bullets went through simple barrels and leaved marks in front and behind (and you can hit enemies behind it). Don't know how it is in CS2.
Honestly while the smokes look really cool, and the map upgrades and reworks are genius, along with the modding support and ease of access, my biggest hype is still sub-tick-updates
This doesn't look perfect, some parts are even downgrades from CSGO, but CS2 is still being developed and so it will definitely get better in the future
With the many charging handle racks, he'd be out of bullets. It's 2023 and still has not changed. You don't need to rack the charging handle when transitioning to the primary, unless you start with an empty gun with a closed bolt.

@@kelele7173 yes cs is dead aftet 1.6, now all players don't even try to kill to the head, just use random and that spray mechanic to kill enemies, it's so boring to watch and even more boring to play. + in cs source barrels and other objects from shots and explosions moved broken windows looked just so great and now 2023 year and all good we got this smoke, not a new shooting mechanic, not new phisics nothing new.
Some of the improvements on display here are nice such as the smoke detail and the graphics improvement, but I expected an obvious 10+ year upgrade, it feels more like a midlife rework. I'm hoping I'm wrong and the game lives up to expectations🤞
Освещения много. Наоборот большой + за изменение в материалах и освещения и в целом в пайплайне рендеринга. Уже давно надоела сироватая унилая кс без достаточного количества цветов. Я б сказал больше фотореализм, чем мультяшность. Мультяшность ето больше про Toon/Cel Shading. А здесь думаю класика - PBR вместе с HDR и дальше уже на вкус арт-дизайнера. Изменения в bloom и global illumination тоже есть.
Было бы полезно, если бы на гранаты добавили предварительный звук срабатывания перед вылетом чеки, хлопок, который есть в реальной жизни. По нему можно было бы понять, что кто-то сейчас кидает в тебя гранату из-за угла и была бы одна секунда на реагирование.
@@7emfic когда отлетает чека, происходит срабатывание запала с характерным хлопком, после чего спустя несколько секунд происходит сам взрыв. Посмотри видео тесты боевых гранат.
Реализм реализмом, но хаешки и так зачастую бесполезные, а так бы они вообще бы были лоускильные, их поэтому и бафнули тем, что можно хоть смок на какое то время рассеивать
В целом главный плюс перехода кс на новый движок это адекватная физика, и новая тикрейт система, и как следствие отсутствие тупых багов что уравнивает шансы всех игроков. Но графика конечно на любителя. Освещение, шейдеры и отражения конечно на высоте, но над самими текстурами особо не старались, их просто высветили и сделали ярче - от чего частично пропала детализация. И теперь графика действительно как в этой мобильной дрочильне - стендоф. Учитывая возможности соурс2 можно было бы сделать куда более сочный и реалистичный графон, а не вылизывать игру так чтобы она была похожа на валорант, только ради переманивания игроков обратно P.S. по поводу смока: сделать его по настоящему объемным, а не просто набором пнг картинок было верным решением. Теперь все кайфуют с той фишки что он простреливается пулями - согласен прикольно, но почему то никто не хочет понимать что эта механика будет работать и против вас😂. Если раньше ты прошивал смок наугад, то теперь можно корректировать стрельбу по просветам в нем, из за чего основной его смысл пропадает, и это я молчу что его можно полностью рассеять гранатой пусть и всего на пару секунд, этого будет более чем достаточно чтобы сделать пару фрагов, особенно когда противник этого не ждёт. В любом случае если это не пофиксят толку от смока станет куда меньше, даже не смотря на открытые скайбоксы

One of CS's greatest strength is that the games can be played even in built in graphics. Not everyone has the money to buy high end GPUs. People playing CS never played it for the graphics quality but for the gameplay itself and they did a good job there.

Fumaça da smoke sumir após granada ou tiros: física dos objetos: tiros nos barris por exemplo, tem que derrubar o objeto. Tiro nas lâmpadas ou destruição dos objetos são coisas que dão maior imersão. O CS é um jogo que fez parte de gerações mas isso um dia vai acabar, quem se adapta se fortalece. Há jogos que pensam mais nessa imersão. No mais, espero melhoras no sistema anti cheat.

But I don't know, in relation to the environments of the scenario, it seemed like a downgrade to me. They could add new mechanics, interaction between player and scenario, some of these barrels could be explosive, in short, so many things that I think would be cool in gameplay.

Yeh. Actually though, it looks like what happens when you screen cap with non-HDR-compatible software whilst HDR is turned on. The gamma is way up for some reason.
Lighting is better in this game, but the shadows aren't dark enough, so it makes the scene look a bit too vertex shaded for my liking, ruining the effect of the lighting... Valve might as well use full bright characters as well, while they are at it, so hiding is no longer a valid strategy. I saw very little texture upgrade. I hope it all gets fixed before it comes out.
I think there is still alot of work to polish the animations. Yes it looks better, yet the smoke is off maybe du the high lightening of the overall game they brought in? Also I don't see a big difference in in impacts on objects, why the car tire or window doesn't break up when you shoot on it?For example shooting on a tire can lower the car by a couple of centimeters and make the guy hiding behind it more visible. Same for the drums why there is no water or oil leak when shooting that make cause a start of a fire? It definitely still needs more realism on this points to make it a huge step forward next to CS:Go, otherwise it will only look like a simple makeover from the original, I'm afraid.

I like that smoke has some physics in it but I see a small problem with the textures they're using and that there are gaps in it and if a player walks through it, you would see their feet.
Well yeah that’s the trade off. But ultimately how they’re handling the smoke here is much better imo since what you see on screen is what everyone else sees on screen..

Opinions on the game: I like how the skybox and raw distance are improved way better and you can’t see anything that looks odd. I do think the smoke could get improvements with the way it look and the tires and windows should break or deflate. The game looks great and I think it has a chance to retake its lead in the best tactical game. Beating valorant or Rainbow 6 Siege. So far, my opinion is positive
Fun fact: on older versions of cs go you could actually throw a molotov into a smoke and it would burn inside of the smoke

I prefer the lighting of CSGO as it makes the game look not so washed out, and have actual contrast. I hope that we'll be able to have CS2's light have this desired contrast that's present in the likes of Half Life Alyx, and in some screenshots of CS2 that makes me think it is in the game but depending on people's settings for it, the game looks like the washed out mess it is, such as in this video.
CSGO's contrast is way worse for visibility. And visibility is the main thing that matters in a competitive shooter.

I like more light and contrast in CSGO too . Better visibility is a good thing , but if you want perfect visibility , you can have only white and black enviroment and green characters for example xD And CSGO have very different feel much better for older players . Cs2 have feel like game for kids 6-10 years old .

It feels like a lot of minor updates. I hope they made the framework better so new features/changes are easier at least.
Looks a bit more cartoonish, and that they just brought back the old shiny materials (glossy metals, etc) that used to be in source games but slowly got phased out for some reason
They’ll probably remove those new shiny effects over time, but right now they want to motivate people to shift to cs2. They did this to tf2. Crowbcat has a video showcasing it

Отсутствие скайбокса, как по мне, самый большой плюс, столько крутых раскидок появится, хоть и некоторые старые пропадут. Только сама графика выглядит странно, всё хорошо но будто бы забыли включить ambient occlusion у пропов, либо это исправят либо теперь это такой визуальный стиль.
Дым крутой, но иногда его контур бывает на столько рваным что его можно спутать с игроком или не заметить игрока в этом рваном дыму, надеюсь это тоже исправят, сделав его более округлым по краям.
То что в кс2 материалы пропов не правильные, типа у колёс машины не материал резины это не показатель, source2 поддерживает разные материалы на одой модели, просто их ещё никто не настраивал так как карты портировали с минимальными изменениями из csgo, где из-за ограничений source1 лишь 1 материал на всю модель, а машина и её стекло это 2 отдельные модели (такие костыли).
И 3д звук на самом деле в csgo крутой (а в cs2 ещё круче) как и во всех последних source играх, просто разница более заметна в маленьких комнатах и на открытой местности. Здесь в приблизительно одинаковых по размеру комнатах звук не особо разнится.

В угоду красивой картинки, текстуры тали проще, нанесенных с помощью paint мелких деталей, совершенно пропали.

Освещение играет большую часть визуала, многие не заметят упрощения полигонов и текстур.

Я не любитель CS, но новая графика мне нравится больше чем старая. Дым классный + новая фишка с рассеиванием дыма и прикольный визуальный эффектом при стрельбе в него. У персонажа наконец-то появилась тень и ноги! Правда ноги это врятли заслуга движка нового, уверен ноги можно было и старом сделать, но хоть что то новое :) (возможно ноги можно отключать в настройках игры, не играл не знаю).
Взрыв от бомбы хуже стал как по мне, надо его сделать качественным, что бы террористы чувствовали победу свою при взрыве бомбы ;).
Так же физика тел стала лучше, персонажи при смерти не выглядят как сопля.
Про освещение я нечего не скажу так как это вкусовщина. Да карты стали светлее, но мне такое более нравится, чем тёмный оттенок.

Освещение не вкусовщина, оно тоже стало лучше, особенно было видно в сравнительных скриншотах на нюке, где и отражения добавили и более качественное освещение от самого солнца

И все-таки лучшая физика в была в Counter-Strike: Source. Там и предметы от ударной силы гранат, под действием выстрелов или нажатием клавиши "E" двигались, и многие предметы разрушались буквально по деталькам, начиная от компьютеров и клавиатуры и заканчивая папками с бумажками, телевизорами и картинами.
прикол в том что КСГО тоже на Сурс движке, только вроде на не такойм как страный.

De verdad espero que vuelvan las físicas del cs source. No solo se prestaba para diversas mecánicas, también daba una gran inmersión ver papeles, computadoras y cajas destruyéndose y volando por los aires. Incluso hasta elementos del mapa al momento de que la bomba explota, era demasiado genial y satisfactorio a la vez de ver. Pero claro. esto cambio en cs go, ya que lo removieron para hacerlo más competitivo. Aunque si es de verdad una secuela del counter strike deberían volver esas físicas ya que el objetivo de una secuela. Es la mejora y expansión del anterior titulo.

Newer engines, nevertheless how good lightning or graphics are, are always more optimized than older ones,source 1 is old and unoptimized, source 2 is newer and optimized, you will have the same performance with source 2 if not even better.

I liked the bullet impacts on CSS more.. also the bullets went through simple barrels and leaved marks in front and behind (and you can hit enemies behind it). Don't know how it is in CS2.
Honestly while the smokes look really cool, and the map upgrades and reworks are genius, along with the modding support and ease of access, my biggest hype is still sub-tick-updates
Now it's more pleasant to play with the new tick rate, it's also Source 2, let's hope for the best.
This doesn't look perfect, some parts are even downgrades from CSGO, but CS2 is still being developed and so it will definitely get better in the future
For this type of game innovation is not the main thing, but to make smoke in 20 years since the source came out is impressive.

With the many charging handle racks, he'd be out of bullets. It's 2023 and still has not changed. You don't need to rack the charging handle when transitioning to the primary, unless you start with an empty gun with a closed bolt.
It's for the consistency of the deploy animations for each gun because this is a competitive/eSports focused game so realism is almost non existent.

The naturalism of the weapon drops is probably the best I've ever seen.
Some of the improvements on display here are nice such as the smoke detail and the graphics improvement, but I expected an obvious 10+ year upgrade, it feels more like a midlife rework. I'm hoping I'm wrong and the game lives up to expectations🤞

Не вижу мультяшности, только освещение изменилось и не такая серая и унылая.
Освещения много. Наоборот большой + за изменение в материалах и освещения и в целом в пайплайне рендеринга. Уже давно надоела сироватая унилая кс без достаточного количества цветов.
Я б сказал больше фотореализм, чем мультяшность. Мультяшность ето больше про Toon/Cel Shading. А здесь думаю класика - PBR вместе с HDR и дальше уже на вкус арт-дизайнера. Изменения в bloom и global illumination тоже есть.

Было бы полезно, если бы на гранаты добавили предварительный звук срабатывания перед вылетом чеки, хлопок, который есть в реальной жизни. По нему можно было бы понять, что кто-то сейчас кидает в тебя гранату из-за угла и была бы одна секунда на реагирование.

Графа нужна сверхреальная как в демке в ютубе про cs ue5 . Даже в hl alyx и то графа лучше! Они явно аккуратничали
В целом главный плюс перехода кс на новый движок это адекватная физика, и новая тикрейт система, и как следствие отсутствие тупых багов что уравнивает шансы всех игроков. Но графика конечно на любителя. Освещение, шейдеры и отражения конечно на высоте, но над самими текстурами особо не старались, их просто высветили и сделали ярче - от чего частично пропала детализация. И теперь графика действительно как в этой мобильной дрочильне - стендоф. Учитывая возможности соурс2 можно было бы сделать куда более сочный и реалистичный графон, а не вылизывать игру так чтобы она была похожа на валорант, только ради переманивания игроков обратно
P.S. по поводу смока: сделать его по настоящему объемным, а не просто набором пнг картинок было верным решением. Теперь все кайфуют с той фишки что он простреливается пулями - согласен прикольно, но почему то никто не хочет понимать что эта механика будет работать и против вас😂. Если раньше ты прошивал смок наугад, то теперь можно корректировать стрельбу по просветам в нем, из за чего основной его смысл пропадает, и это я молчу что его можно полностью рассеять гранатой пусть и всего на пару секунд, этого будет более чем достаточно чтобы сделать пару фрагов, особенно когда противник этого не ждёт. В любом случае если это не пофиксят толку от смока станет куда меньше, даже не смотря на открытые скайбоксы

@@erensar5265 If they make the graphics like 2023 standards they'll lose almost 75 percent of their player base. One of CS's greatest strength is that the games can be played even in built in graphics. Not everyone has the money to buy high end GPUs. People playing CS never played it for the graphics quality but for the gameplay itself and they did a good job there.

O CS é um jogo que fez parte de gerações mas isso um dia vai acabar, quem se adapta se fortalece.

The physics of the smoke grenade were very interesting, better than that just the fact that the HE explodes close to the Smoke Grenade and actually throws away the object that propagates the smoke.The same could be applied to fire, if it is hit by a HE, in this case just spreading the flames, some visual change in the way the flame is reached by the explosion.
But I don't know, in relation to the environments of the scenario, it seemed like a downgrade to me. They could add new mechanics, interaction between player and scenario, some of these barrels could be explosive, in short, so many things that I think would be cool in gameplay.

Мне нравилась физика в предыдущей версии CS Source, когда разлетались бочки подпрыгивали кузова машин от взрывов и многие другие детали. Почему это убрали в следующих версиях? Ведь это добавляет реализма в игре. Что касается CS:GO 2, то в целом неплохо, но в другом видео я видел огонь он Молотова и он мне показался слишком ярким и переливающимся от розового до фиолетового, со стороны выглядит не реалистично, дым как писали многие тоже слишком уж переливается, слишком много струек дыма, дым не может быть таким быстро меняющемся и он распыляется всего из одного объекта, а значит должен иметь след этого распыления, и это газ, а не плазма или жидкая субстанция. Но в целом конечно стало получше, главное, чтобы не было слишком требовательно к железу, а то многие игроки просто не смогут играть на старом железе.

Yeh. Actually though, it looks like what happens when you screen cap with non-HDR-compatible software whilst HDR is turned on. The gamma is way up for some reason.
Lighting is better in this game, but the shadows aren't dark enough, so it makes the scene look a bit too vertex shaded for my liking, ruining the effect of the lighting... Valve might as well use full bright characters as well, while they are at it, so hiding is no longer a valid strategy. I saw very little texture upgrade. I hope it all gets fixed before it comes out.
I think there is still alot of work to polish the animations. Yes it looks better, yet the smoke is off maybe du the high lightening of the overall game they brought in? Also I don't see a big difference in in impacts on objects, why the car tire or window doesn't break up when you shoot on it?For example shooting on a tire can lower the car by a couple of centimeters and make the guy hiding behind it more visible. Same for the drums why there is no water or oil leak when shooting that make cause a start of a fire? It definitely still needs more realism on this points to make it a huge step forward next to CS:Go, otherwise it will only look like a simple makeover from the original, I'm afraid.
