I played the role of the Blessed Virgin's husband, Joseph. I am devoted to Mary, and say the rosary daily. I pray to Joseph as well and keep a flower near to her statue. I intrust my children to her. I visited Fatima and bought a rosary there.
I was taken aback seeing an ancient scene with a learned man wearing glasses, hundreds of years out of place. Also, I am glad that "Black Mary," was mentioned several times though not depicted visually. Doing so would be much more inclusive as well as accurate. We do hear of conversations arounf Christ not being white but hos Mother, Mary is really never discussed.
