First DnB mix from my favorite sub-genre...a hard Neurofunk set for your ass. Also the first mix where I pulled from my entire collection and mixed harmonically instead of working from a small group of pre-selected tracks. It takes some time to tune your ear and head. I stated listening to Neuro and thought, "that's DnB, everything else is crap". It was a couple of years before I got into liquid and other sounds (never jump up really either). Its funny though...I go back and listen to old CD's I have from when I first found DnB and some of the tracks sound so simple and basic...the sound has matured quite a bit. Nobody can explain why a particular sound resonates, it just rings true to your soul. DnB forever...
Thanks for props...and I'm glad you got on-board. I really appreciate the feedback, or constructive criticism, either way it makes me a better DJ. All my current mixes are posted on my Soundcloud page...same name, its easy to find. As for finding tracks...jesus, I get them from all over and I've been collecting tracks for more than a decade. I couldn't tell you where I got all these from. I'm not posting individual tracks here like a lot of people do...but I'll try to showcase my favs all day.
I'm an old metal head anyway...so I fell right into this sound and loved it...

Thanks mate...mix could be a little better in some spots but the tracks are phat. Appreciate the props and the listen...and I don't sweat what anyone suggests or complains about, I think a lot of people think I just sit down, randomly record some music then hit 3 buttons and have a video ready to go. If I didn't have a life, I could make these uploads over the top...but unfortunately, I do have a life!
That Phace track is one of my all time favorites. The sample in the middle is so effin' cool...as is the buzzsaw of a synth line...bad ass!

This is a sick Neurofunk mix, man. The music is all quality tracks from respectful artists (Bangin' chewnz!). You've done a great job with the presentation of it, as well. From the track list in the info section, to the track name and artist on the image with every trasition. Even the graphic that vibrates to the EQ is a subtle yet crisp detail that desevers nuff respect. Big ups to you, mate.

Damn Josh...that's seriously appreciated, but I'm mixing with software which allows me to do some things that are damn near impossible with vinyl...so the comparison is tough. I respect the hell out of really good vinyl DJ's, that's a tough skill to hone and master. All I can really do is take credit for the track selection and the arrangement, the mixing isn't easy but...for me, it's all about tone and pace. Thanks for listening though...man, that's way effin cool!

Thanks ND5...appreciate the support. I'm not gonna jump on ziz for the comment...the whole "genre" thing is a little whack to start with. None of the tracks here are what I would consider "Jump Up (Andy C, DJ Fresh, DC Breaks, etc)". I just consider anything "hard" as neurofunk...but some people think "darkstep" or "techstep". I don't know...I just play what i like...peace!
Love that track...this mix has a couple of rough spots but it also has some great moments and a lot of fantastic tracks...imho. Thanks for listening!

Thanks NB...and based on your favorites, I'm sure you approved of Vol. 2! I'm a huge Corrupt Souls fan, I think those guys set the bar for neuro production. Their tracks were deep, complex and filled with texture and emotion. Tastes are so subjective...its hard for me to pinpoint what makes a track click with me. But based on my metal roots, I like a dark and heavy foundation with a melodic synth line and some atmosphere (little elements here and there that add some depth and texture).

Working on a clubby Breakbeat set at the moment but will get another Neuro set out after that. Had an idea for another themed mix like "Servants" but I think I'm just going to roll out some banging tracks and see what falls where...stay tuned and thanks for subscribing.
