A new neurofunk set for Apocolypse...just what you were wanted! I'm not going to apologize for not getting sets out quickly anymore...but I'm really glad I got this one uploaded before the world ended. Neurofunk V4 is straight-up speedball for your eardrums, volume at 10 please...and enjoy.

So the producer name is Causality and it's the Optiv remix of "Full Force". Always a pleasure to see people list the producer and track names in wrong order.

meh...this didn't turn out like I'd hoped...and I never fixed the glitch. I like using motion backgrounds because I want to keep people's attention longer than 8 minutes, which we're all trained for by watching commercial TV. The overall production could be grander but I just don't have the time available to make that happen...appreciate the comments though!

Funny you should ask...I'm wrapping up a new Dark DnB mix right now and work on the video starts this week. Hope to have it uploaded next...darker and heavier than anything I've done so far. I'm excited to drop this one...
Thanks John...I have a DJ vs DJ set, which is neurofunk, coming out very soon. And there's a dark dnb set that's also due in the coming weeks. An actual Vol 5 might not be out till summer but if you're liking that hard sound, both of the new sets will keep you occupied until I can get around to another straight up Neuro set. Thanks Aaron...I know there're more "creative" tricks that dj's use but back spinning and scratching is not my style at all. I'm trying to be a bit invisible, I want you to listen and forget that theres a DJ mixing the tracks. I love it when tracks blend impossiblely clean and you get into new tracks with the listener barely noticing the shift. But that's just me...it's about the music, not my need for attention.
Not much into the industrial sounds, I need some melody, but back in the day I was head banging thrasher....huge early Metallica and Slayer fan so I know where you're coming from. Glad to have you back....and stay tuned, I know I'm dropping some breaks stuff that you might not like but I just got a whole bunch of new neuro and darker stuff and excited to drop that shyte...
dang...I didn't look at this closely...I thought I was on the DJ vs DJ battle. But CaDo's stuff is good...this mix is all me. Thanks again for the listen!

Thanks Phox...and you're right, I do put some works into these. Nothing I do is off the cuff or random. And I just started mixing a few months back, so the effort was there on every mix, just not the necessary skills. Still learning though so I hope 2013 is a year in which I take a big step forward....thanks for the props.

Actually...the track title is Causality, noted by the quotation marks. The original artist was Full Force and this remix is by Optiv. A simple check on Beatport would have saved you some embarrassment. Appreciate the listen and comment "First", especially the smartass tone associated with your not so intelligent analysis of the track notation. But I'll tell you what I really like...when assholes post comments but don't set their account up to receive comments so I can reply directly.

thanks Mike...you're right, a lot of hours, and I just don't have the free time to get as much done as I'd like....Neurofunk V5 is a ways down the road but I have a DJ vs DJ set coming out soon that's neurofunk and I have a Dark DnB set that'll follow right behind it, so new stuff is on the way. Sub and you won't miss it!

Had been spending lots of time indoors haha, but we're got a fair few DnB gigs going on the the mo so I've been forcing myself out the house and refound my love of DnB and redownloaded my Liquicity albums XD

It is dnb...but if I'm not mistaken, drum step is a variation with a half beat timing of dnb. This set is more straightforward neuro. Take a listen to vol3....I think you'll appreciate that one.

You know what...that's the one I like the least as well. Some good songs and there are some spots in the second half that work well. But overall, I'd give it a C grade...maybe. I appreciate the comments and the listen, and definitely the constructive criticism...helps me get better!

Yup, the "advice" he was giving was complete bullshit, my dad's been a DJ for more than 30 years and lemme tell you, making a good mix with only crossfading is already hard enough. I've been enjoying your Neurofunk mixes man, keep up the good work.

Thanks...that's a huge compliment. And in the end, that's what I'm trying to do, give you guys a mix that'll be worthy of a listen years from now, not just a slapped together collection of tracks I happened to pick on a random Tuesday. IMO...Vol 3 is better, I think it has more emotional tone.

Funny how all the neurofunk and dark dnb titles remind me of (melodic) death metal ones. Seems like it is the "death metal" of the drum and bass genre kind of? Also, the drum patters have similarities. Might that be the reason I like both very much?

yeh I know, Im already following...all sets are soo heavy...suit to my taste ;-)
Each set is a little different and I would put Vol 2 as my third fav only because there are a few transitions that I'd like to redo. And Vol 5 is going to be different from the others. As for other stuff...I listen to liquid dnb, but again, that's dnb. I love breakbeat as well and there is a subset of breaks that's darker and not necessarily dancey. I don't listen to much else to be honest, I've yet to hit a wall where I said, "I'm tired of this" and it's been 10 years.
