Walter Winchell helped make "The Untouchables" iconic. The first of several memorable moments in "The Lilly Dallas Story" features a wonderfully written introduction to the gang in a style curated by original series producer Quinn Martin. In the second half of Winchell’s voice-over, his staccato rhythm deftly introduces the gang and colorfully fills in their dynamics and history in classic Untouchables style. Because this episode is largely an adaptation of Machine Gun Kelly Gang's story, most of what Winchell alludes to inspired by historical fact. I saw comedian Rich Little do an imitation of Walter Winchell. "The year was 1930, a decade has passed since prohibition kicked in and the country went dry"
One of the best tv shows of all time , I own a complete three year collection .
Shoot now I gotta find the complete episode. I really like the untouchables.
Fantastic music!
I got the LP and had it bumped to digital. If there were only more. Lots of great incidental and cue music from The Untouchables.

Was that Red Skelton who played the guy who got kidnapped in that episode?
