The song and video for "Victor" are inspired by 1856 poem 'Demain, dès l'aube' by famous French writer Victor Hugo (Les Misérables, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame) The poem narrates the writer's walk to the grave of his daughter Leopoldine; she tragically drowned a few years prior during a boat trip, while she was pregnant. In this video, Victor and Leopoldine reunite.

I can't believe the creativity of this lady, she's spent over a decade in a band using her creativity to elevate them but now that's over she can still create things like this. I'm in awe fam.

Hugo is my favourite author, I read a lot of things from him when I was young (French native), I have a lot of poetry books in my shelf. He was for sure the best French author who ever existed, to me.
As a french fan of you, I didn't have the words to describe how this interpretation of one of the poems of our greatest author Victor Hugo is touching. Thank you. ❤️

Nice tune. The vocal layering reminds me of techniques Enya used to expand the sonic atmosphere of her songs. I have noted that this track (and the previous release) both have a softer vocal performance that nestles quite snugly within the acoustics of the instrumentation. I'm sure this is deliberate but I can't say I'm a huge fan of this style - I find the main vocals sit a little too deeply within the mix and seem a little indistinct at times (especially when compared to the booming punch of Delain tracks like Masters of Destiny). Other than that, great work!

I’m in love with the atmosphere. Those colours, this harmony, it’s like a vintage unreal world, or how you would see a memory, those shades, those faces that seem timeless but difficult to imagine on a realistic way... it’s like they have been stuck in the same age for centuries. I love the family portrait, the choice to add angels and to portray them this way. It seemed very obvious to me in the end, I cannot imagine it in another way. I have trouble finding words that describe precisely how I feel. It would have been more efficient in french. Sorry for that.
