Just spent a few days there for a quick holiday and the place was a good spot for look around. The Isa Hotel is a good pub and has great food and we stayed at the Ibis Styles Hotel which was also very good. While it was hot at around 40 C it wasn't as bad as the humidity on the cost. Plenty to see and do for a week if you heading that way. People are great as well and very friendly, wish all of Australia was like this town.

Sorry we stayed in a motel but I believe there are several good caravan parks in Mt Isa so you should be OK. Enjoy the visit, we did.
