The molded Celestron carry case does not accommodate a Evolution 6 and base. The focus knob sticks up into the foam. The foam is not very compressable. They will try to convince you that you can place the focus knob in such a way the the closed case halves pinch it in place. That is absolutely not how things should be. Further, if you wish to modify the foam you will find another secret. The black liner is closed with a zipper from the factory, but the factory removed the zipper pull. Unless you can find a zipper pull, once you pull the zipped liner apart, you cant reclose it. Caveat Emptor
Just got my Evolution 6 and 94003 case. The E6 is max size for this multi-use case. However it does work with some modifications. You'll need to remove the visual back and cap the tube. This will allow the focus knob to rest on the seam by the zipper. Use the tie down strap and remove the extra foam spacers (used for the smaller Nexstar scopes). The interior accessories case is great for basic accessories. Obviously the Evolution is slightly big for the case, but will "just" get the job done. The larger cases are overkill and much more expensive IMHO. The alternative is to use the packing foam in an appropriate container like a storage tub. Good luck! Better yet...Have Pacific Design make you a custom fitted case for your EVO6 for about the same money as a too small 94003. Put the tripod in a Celestron 302160 case available on eBay.

Thanks for the video. It was a bit blurry at times. What was the length of the folded tripod?

Hi, thanks for the video - do you know how much the travel case weighs when packed with the scope?
Hi, thank you for viewing. Just took it out and measure the weight of the item. its 34 lbs with some small accessories. Thank you.
I would NEVER handle a telescope this rough. Maybe they are trying to make the point it will take abuse?
Thank you for viewing.
