was shifting at 14k rpm. my bike red lines at 16.5k rpm. my mechanic says you are better off shifting at 14k rpm because after that point the bike isnt producing or giving as much power as if you shifted. so better to shift and get more power than to try and drag out the gear for the little if no power at all that id left and here it scream.
