It’s amazing to me (and kind of sad) that a filmmaker like Mel Gibson or Ron Howard or James Cameron (especially) hasn’t stepped forward to make a lovely true account and documentary of James Horner’s career. From the 1980s to the early 2000s there was John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and James. And I would put Horner in the top two of this group. Someone with clout needs to step forward and honor his work and life and legacy. With movie theaters dying, it’s only a matter of time before Horner disappears forever.
My ensuite and desk look like this....And I grew up playing the piano...Born in 58; I thought I was the only romantic like this; magical. He is still with us; he is everywhere.

Just a few days ago, I added the final track on that score to my James Horner Farewell Suite, as one of the last hidden gems I’ve found in Horner’s slow music. I miss hearing those new soundtracks when they released.
I was just listening to "Rosy Goes To The Doctor" just before the end of the month, and the part that sticks out to me for the most part of that song, was the little piece written when Rosy runs out to go see Jenna. Such a beautiful, delicate, and tender moment, even if it lasted for just a short while.
