I saw the coolest fucking submission for this prompt but didn't have my camera then and i will never be the same again. Still it's great seeing the community's photos. You're the best Ram!
The description goes hard My favorites are #2 and #5, especially the fact that #2 could get his drone destroyed by some anti-air missile sent by the Air Force.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter. I was thinking on leaving a comment when this video was first uploaded but I forgot. The vignette is kinda my way of directing the viewer's attention to the middle but your review made me thinking about how I'm going to approach it. Thanks for the review.
fun video! love all the submissions everyone posted. if we ever do something prompt-based for illustrations maybe, i'd love to join in as well, could imagine that making for a cool group event
I didn't expect to enjoy this video as much as I did. It was really entertaining to learn more about all of these things that go into the production of photography! Now I wish I joined the challenge. Also, in the future, would you give bonus marked for taking a picture using a SLR film cam?
Glad to hear it mate, you’re more than welcome to join the next prompt. Shouldnt be too long before we launch it. DSLR images are higher quality so you get to make prettier things, but I don’t necessarily give those bonus points. Story and composition is all that really matters
Thanks for the positivity and clear explanations! I take pictures on my phone for my own sake; I feel that I can be quite precious about my "style" and averse to learning/understanding more about the theory and practice of photography. I found the knowledge you shared to be really useful in challenging my own preconceptions about photography and I look forward to trying out some of compositional tips.
Thank you Ram for your feedback! I was surprised with the positive feedback you gave for me, either way, thank you. And when I say taken through a window, I mean from the Back of the Car’s window, in traffic.
I think thats a really fun idea. i'm not that advanced with drawing to be able to give feedback like i do with photography though. I'll just focus on photography for now.
I'm going to eventually start with photography and I need advice with camera selection. The camera I'm looking for needs to be somewhat beginner friendly (in the sense that it must be functional but doesn't need to have like 50 million different advanced settings and functions) and it must be in my price range (not more then about 500€). Primary use of the camera will be for panoramas and landscape shots. If you have any recommendations for a camera that fulfills my needs I will be glad to hear from you.
Love to see it. The saying goes: the best camera is the one you have on you. But when it comes to a good starter DSLR camera here's my advice: Get yourself a secondhand canon 600d for around 300,-. That's the camera i use. Ideally It'll come included with a standard lens which will give you plenty options. If you want to go harder, you can make very beautiful shots with a 50mm 1.4 lens which will also cost only about 50.- . The only downside is that night photography won't be as easy as it will be with expensive cameras. Hope it helps!
What's your take on using old crap SLR cameras on purpose? Will goofy equipment only take you so far in this specific niche? I'm a bedroom bassist as a hobby and most dudes in that sphere (or playing some instruments in general) can get decently far on cheapo equipment, does that phenomenon apply to amateur-level photography as well?
Wholesome Jixaw is so wholesome 🥹

Of course. It’s never been about the gear. Story and composition is all that matters
