    Interactivity is all about racing to take the best stuff and even hate buying the thing your opponents engine will only work with, as long as you have a few you could use.

    Can you comment on the dragons? (Unless I missed it) I've been intrigued by this game for years, but Rahdo made a point in his video that really spoke to me about he and his wife hate using dragons on each other to tear down what they've built or something like that. It's held me back. Could the dragons be effectively altered to avoid something like this? Thanks for your video.

      We did talk about them a bit - essentially we found them to be a little whatever. In almost every game we've played players have more or less just ignored them. I think it will be down to who you play with - if they want to be offensive, then it can get annoying, but if you both just want to build an engine then just don't use attack with them.

      @@BoardOfItReviews Thank you. I gotta find that section where you covered it. I feel like dragons should do something, but I'm not going to enjoy having things constantly broken down by them.

      We were planning to review it anyway, but by happy coincidence it went on BGA! Hope it was helpful and thanks for watching.

    Haha. Your doggies are so chill.
    I ordered this game immediately after playing it on BGA. It's really satisfying, even when you lose.

      They flip between destroying the house and sleeping, with no middle ground :D. Glad to hear you are enjoying it, we totally agree. Does BGA have a intuitive/friendly interface?

    I disagree with the scrolls being "meh"
    I think a lot of players just tend to undervalue them

    Which of those 800 Stephen King novels is y’all’s favorite?

    • @BoardOfItReviews
      @BoardOfItReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      IT, for sure. Also a fan of his earlier short story collections like skeleton crew or Nightmares and Dreamscapes. For a more modern one, The Outsider or 11.22.63 were both brilliant. Are you a fan?

    This game has a very good rating on BGG, but it just doesn’t seem like my cup of tea... and given the iconography issues it is a definite pass. Nice review though!
    Cheers

      Have you tried Underwater Cities?
      I’d really like to. It looks like a fun one... (and there is even text on the cards so there is little to no problems in understanding the card’s effect. )

      @@spaztekwarrior We have actually! Only twice I think but it's one we enjoy. Has a similar feel in some ways to Terraforming Mars. We probably need to play it a few more times, but atm it's one we'd recommend if you're interested in it.

      From the content we consume and the discussion boards we are on, we've never heard it mentioned, but it turns out it was more well known than we thought. As an example from our side, on the biggest source of hobbyists, the reddit, there hasn't been a post about it besides the announcement of it going on BGA last week, for 8 months, and before that, over a year. There's been about 10-30 posts about Scythe as a random example in the last month, a game much older.
