I thought when a man referred to his wife as his "better half" that was complimentary. Meaning not only does she complete him. She makes him better. Why do you not like to say that? That speaks well of your wife..
Your wife is very good at this considering her experience level. The dynamic between you two is very entertaining. Reminds me of my wife and I. Rarely a dull moment because we're both different enough from each other that there's always a level of humor keeping things light. Hope to see more of these in the future.

She says she doesn't like sweet colognes in men but her favorite is Joop? That is extremely sweet..
I strongly suggest going to the Guerlain boutique in France. the Caron boutique is also very close and worth going to. You will learn a lot. The Caron boutique is very intimate and you will get a lot of one on one. The Guerlain boutique on Champ is large and quite busy. They are the two oldest perfumeries still in existence. My favorite Guerlain's in order for me are (all in parfum) Héritage, Bois d'arménie (unisex, it's amazing), Le Parfum du 68. Check out the "exclusive" collections. They're only about $140-160 p/bottle. most are limited. They had one called Shanghai which is still my favourite EDP for women. if you can find it get it. It was only a few years ago it stopped being made. I still have a bottle in it's sealed box.

My gosh, she has just picked the same what I prefer from Guerlain but I’d expect here to pick Guerlain Homme if you got the intense version (the black bottle), also the L’instant de Guerlain you have here is the edt not the extreme edition (black edges) LIDGE.
What a lovely couple. Good review as usual Eugene. My favouite Guerlains are Habit Rouge EDP and EDT as well as Jicky and Shalimar EDP. I really struggle with Mitsouko and L'Heure Bleu.
I absolutely love Joop myself. My favorite guerlain is Encerns mystique and it has quickly moved up to one of my top five favorites. I bought it because of you and your buddy’s joint review.
I love Vétiver, but on my skin it has no performance or projection. Immediate skin scent which kills me because I love it! Sometimes I wear it just for the joy of having it on and smellable for 15 mins.
I love Héritage, but as your wife says, not for every day.
LIDGE is great- love it.
Habit Rouge is AWESOME! An unbelievable masterpiece. When I wear Habit Rouge, I feel like I'm Louis XIV!
I get pretty good performance but not great from Vetiver and I agree with everything else.

I wish I could sneeze as quietly as Maria does! I knock things over when I sneeze. This video brought LIDGE and HERITAGE home for me and VETIVER is next. I like change so I put Heritage on my watch band for work then I'll put Lidge on top of it the next day. It keeps my nose from getting bored. It just for me. Don't know if anyone else smells it.
Hi Scott ,I definitely understand what u mean when you talk about getting board.I wear a fragrance for two days, three max then I'll get board of it and need something else to excite me, Does not mean that I don't love it thow.

Habit Rouge simply legendary scent (especially EDP version)! I've never smell better fragrance! For me only comparable competitors are maybe Dior's iris line 😀

I loved this video! I just recently bought my first Guerlain, lidge, and Im currently in the middle of a love affair with this scent. There is something about this scent that I can't get enough of. I trust their opinions more since we often wear them for them 85% of the time, and the other 15% when we’re home muckin’ around or feeling bold stepping out. Your little boy has great taste on the Antaeus and Farenheit.

I own a guerlain heritage - edp thats about 6 yrs old and i just got a brand new one a month ago. Seems like the brand new one is weaker. Have you heard of this happening with two newer formulations? Thanks

Joop! 🙄🤣 Sorry, from that point on I didn't take her seriously anymore. Nowadays for the average woman, it's the sweeter the better and prefers something she can wear herself (unisex, gender confusion), not something masculine which is quickly labelled dated.

It’s funny: I was wearing Héritage once, and a guy I know said it smelled like sweet gum. Here your wife smells cherry.
L’Homme Idéal EDT is nice, but yeah, generic. EDP is more interesting.
I just wish she would’ve liked Habit Rouge.
I suspect that if she smelled it in its later stages, she would like it. I mean think about it: in its later development it’s woods, leather, vanilla and incense. All stuff she likes. In fact, many compare HR to Shalimar.

So I decided to blind bye vetiver since the note break down looks so nice,and specially after you mentioned in one of your videos that you think Guerlain vetiver has one of the best tabaco notes.I have bean looking for good fresh tabaco fragrances for a while now.Tabaco and vetiver is some of my most favorite notes.Thanks so much Eugeneue and keep up the good work.

Is your LIDGE EDT or EDP (Extreme Fragrance)?
if i am not mistaken the one in the video is LIDG POUR HOMME not LIDGE I really like the normal version more than extreme version. it is subtle and much more complex. Extreme is much more about that cocoa note.
It's the 1st reformulation, which lacks the dark rim on the bottle. It's definitely LIDGE. On that version, Guerlain silkscreened "Eau de Parfum" on the front to differentiate it from LIDG.

it's too bad they're all toilettes. vetiver is a fresh scent class, also she was correct, it has vanilla (tonka) in it's base notes. I don't want to get too deep in educating the poster or viewers. but bro, spend the $750 and get Héritage in parfum. you'll get a beautiful bee bottle that's hand painted gold. can only be gotten from France special order. Heritage is probably one of my favorites. in the parfum once you get to the end of the day and it's time for bet what's left is only the base notes that wear very close to the skin with a vanillin sandalwood and musk. the EDT héritage is trash. it's funny, she has a better nose than you bro :D she's far more accurate in the scents she picks out. She likes musks, which is not only unusual but great.

We all know that the fragrance goes through stages and the dry down is as important as the top notes. This test is really tells only half of the story, sorry.
