It was push now to my patio door. So I took it.I have it and didn’t know what to do. Glad you posted this. I Felt like life was inside ! A few pecks in the shell. But not broken thru. So we will give it a go! I already cried because I thought maybe it’s dead. So if it is. Then. Not much I can do. I accept it. But same time currently not accepting it and try to see/ pray/give it a chance.
I have covered the hole/crack with a piece of a postal stamp as soon as I noticed it and they generally will hatch just fine. Smell the egg every day or two and as long as it does not smell bad leave it alone!
Excellent topic... l breed a lot of Malay Game...if a cracked egg appears... l cover the crack with white out liquid...it solidify...stops the egg drying out...IF THE INNER MEMBRANE IS INTACT...my cracked eggs hatch out fine... Just my experience
Hi, please someone answer, some pigeons had been hatching eggs in our balcony from couple of days and today due to wond or something the pot moved and eggs fell down mom left probably. I just found them they are bit cracked please let me know how to save them please
i was not going to keep the egg in there but its from my new really good pair so i was like lets give it a few more days and candled it over that period and the chick inside didnt die
It can hatch, my egg was cracked and it hatched, it depends how many days its left for it to hatch,face the crack downwards so they dont harm it anymore and how many days is left?
So the only thing that really worries me about crack eggs is bacteria issues on the bird long term. If that bird gets sick a lot as it grows get rid of it in my opinion.
Are you not looking a bit too deeply into this? The bird will be fine when it hatches, if not then it will have nothing to do with the cracked shell I reckon.
@@TheExStig I've been hatching chicks for over 15 years. You'll be surprised how bacteria affects your Birds. even eggs can transfer bacteria to another egg. The bird might seem fine but when you really pay attention to them one might sneeze more than the other or one might have a bent toe something. So im not saying it's going to happen, but what I am saying is, it could happen.

Hi Kurt, drip candle wax over the crack and it most definitely will hatch. I have did it few times before.

Possibly … that’s big crack and deep . you can try soft cooked rice . mix it to a paste . and apply to damage area … 👍

I know when i used to breed quail a bit of pva glue used to do tricks to fix cracks

True. If its cracked too much and deep it is a problem but if the membrane is still intact it may be fine..it has happened to me before
