12:53 Some examples of dual purpose meat and fur producing rabbits are Champagne D'Argent, Californian, Palomino, Rex, New Zealand, and Silver Fox. New Zealand white are popular because the white fur can be dyed any color. Rex are popular because the fur has luxurious texture. I like Champagne D'Argent best because I like the colors (black and silver). The disadvantage of dual purpose rabbits, is that ideal harvest for pelts is later than ideal harvest for meats. For meat, you harvest at 12 weeks, but for pelts you don't harvest until 6 months or older. For a backyard farmer, this is good because the older rabbit is bigger with more meat and a good fur. But for a commercial meat business, it is not ideal, because you have spent too much money on hay and pellets and the meat is not as tender as with a younger rabbit.
Sir what is the right measurement when you make rabbit cage,,, what is the right set up of the rabbitry , what kind of cage to be installed,,, condominium style or single line cage,,, thanks you sir
I have most of my rabbits because another rabbit farmer had a massive heart attack. His sons were so young, they'd never been involved in the record keeping, so they could only tell me ages, sex, and breeds. I don't have records on them, but they are well bred and healthy. We've got records going now though! ETA: he's not quite okay, but he is healing and improving. He just needed to clear out most of his rabbitry because he couldn't care for them properly.
Good morning sir ,,, Roy from Philippine,,,, I have a rabbitry , sir can you share to us your formulation when you prefer or do mix your pellet feeds,, can you show us how you mix in your video,,, thanks a lot my friend
Hello Roy, we only use one brand of pelleted feed that's produced locally. We supplement our lactating does with a tbsp of Calf Manna pellets. And we free feed wilted forages about 2 or 3 times a week.
Stumbled on your video, found very informative and eye opening. Thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!

In regards to your location, do you do exports or is your target market only local?
We do export. However, the buyer has to work out the logistics of travel.

hi good day sir, my name is Cindy -Ann i am from the Palo Seco area i have a Rabbitry and having some problems with ear infection,
Hello Cindy Ann. The most common ear infection in rabbits is caused by ear mites. A few drop of Veg oil or baby oil in each ear will fix that

Hope he pulls through. And yes, the best you can do is start the record keeping from there going forward.
Thank you again, God bless.
Same to you!
