200X is my FAVORITE MOTU animated series. It really delved into the history of the characters and did so much world building. Looking forward to these figures.
I haven't seen it, only some segments in YT. From what I've seen, I think you are right, I plan to watch it some day. Filmation's pure nostalgia but's awful. Netflix's pretty animation but pretty poor writting.
Yeah it's mindblowing really - I guess if you weren't a fan and just read it on a page somewhere but most people have no excuse to be this clueless lol
I don't think they pronounce it two hundred x, All of us MOTU geeks know it's two thousand x, but it's the writing that it's the debate. I get the "X" stands for the year, hence 200X, however, If you show 200X to someone who doesn't know what MOTU is and ask them to read it, I guarantee you 100% of people will read it two hundred x, show them this (2000X) and 100% of people will read two thousand x. That's where the real debate is.
@Blackbird26155 It didn't come out until 2003 in the UK and other nations, so many fans were calling it MOTU 2003 from the start. Mattel also rebranded the toyline as MOTU vs. the Snake Men, and so the toys in that packaging started being called MOTU 2003 by Americans. Then NECA launched their statue line in 2005, and fans began calling it MOTU 2005. Eventually, we all agreed that 200X was a better all-encompassing name for the entire era, and the name stuck.
@@Rocket1377 It's just weird to me that this is literally the ONLY reboot franchise that does that. The first TMNT reboot came out a year later and it's just called "TMNT 2003" by the fans even though it ALSO ran for years & had two different rebrands.
Amazing news! I too am a fan of the MOTU 200X line. This would also be a perfect time to re-release the entire MOTU 200X series in HD and on Blu-ray. That series and art style would just pop in HD and it could generate more buzz for these figures. Well done Pixel Dan. This was huge announcement that I missed but I am very excited for.
I was 10 years old when 200X came out and it was my introduction to MotU (outside of the film). I was heartbroken when the animated series ended and the toyline came to a close. Despite collecting nearly all of Classics and a lot of Masterverse, I am so hyped that 200X is getting the love and attention it deserves. If the price point isn't too bad, I'm definitely all-in for these.
Wow. Those Ghostbusters were cool, but there is NO WAY in hell I'm gonna pay $200 for a 2-pack, much less $100 for 1. That's insane. I thought Super7's $55 Ultimates were bad, but DAMN! Not going to happen.

I agree with you the pricing is daft, and seeing the MOTU Origins are usually between 20 to 25, and before anyone says but look at all the stuff you get Boss Fight Studios does 30, 60 would be way to high
I JUST started watching the 200X series and am LOVING IT! Such a treat. And now these????!! They better be like $60 each, Mondo! I would love to collect them all with their stylized designs. 200X in HD!!!!!!
Nothing against Mondo, but I would've been more excited if the Four Horsemen were doing this line. They're the ones that came up with the intial designs, and going by the prices of their Mythic Legions line, we would probably be looking at a $50 price point. But I'm still excited to see what Mondo brings to the table. Their 6th scale line looks amazing!
@@the4thtribe709 loose joints too. I got the animated series Batman and immediately sent it back. Felt cheap and poorly made. QC issues abound…at least with that particular figure.
I think Mondo needs to try get these in at the 55 dollar price point so these can more readily compete with Super7 Ultimates. Wave 1 He-Man, Beast-Man, Teela, Wave 2 Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Evil-Lyn. I think covers the core characters from Vintage, Filmation, & 200x -- and the main characters we expect from a new MOTU line. Year 2: Wave 1 Stratos, Mer-Man, Scare Glow, Wave 2: Zodac, Faker, Orko. I think if they go that direction for the first two years it sets a 200x series up well.
The 200X Cartoon is my favorite MOTU as well! I loved that they gave us backstory to the characters and history and overall mythos to the line, made it all feel more “real” and “lived-in”. Plus, it felt like the series was always heading somewhere rather than simple “one-offs” that could be watched in any order. It was cool how the comic “counter parted” the cartoon to develop the story even further. I was so sad when the series were cut short. I’m very much looking forward to this line. I just hope I can afford to collect them all!
200x was my show. I grew up with it and it got me into MOTU. Part of the reason I collect the Mondo 1/6 line is because its so heavily inspired by 200x (thanks in part to Emiliano designing the figures there as well). To say this line is a dream come true is an understatement, especially from the Mondo team who care so much about MOTU. However, I would say that we're going to be looking at about $80 a figure in my opinion, though $60 is possible. Expect Skeletor to have a soft goods cloak with a wire in it, Beast Man will likely be sized up like the 1/6 version, etc. $80 might sound like a lot, but if it does end up being priced there I'd urge to to seriously look at dropping some other collectibles to free up budget. The Mondo figures are incredible pieces of art. Probably the best designs in all of MOTU IMO. You won't regret picking one up.
I think Mondo has really proven themselves with the 1/6 line. Since 200X is mainly untouched, and these are really more of collectibles than play toys, Mattel is giving them the go-ahead. The price point puts them way outside of competition with Mattel's mainline figures.
I think the license owners are gonna let their greed price their properties out of existence, and anything from this line over $50 or so is gonna fizzle out quickly. These retail figure prices keep climbing, while several 3rd party companies are starting to produce Mezco quality figures for half the price.
Name the companies that are making Mezco quality figs for half the price. I see Mezco style but definitely not Mezco quality. And even those figs are around 2/3 of Mezco prices not 1/2.
@@craxyman9025well...I left you a response, and now I don't see it. It might need approval or it might have gotten removed? Sooo...it's possible I'm not allowed to mention those things here. Google it, I guess. 🤷🏻
To the Mondo team (if you’re reading this): 1) I would like to see certain characters properly scaled. For example, Beast Man was imagined to be larger than an average human in the 200x series. There are other examples, such as Leech. Even if it means a higher price point, please consider it. 2) I understand that every MOTU line starts with a pretty much same roster, but please surprise us. Throw in early on an outlier, a character that did not receive a figure, ala Hordak. Thank you.
Yeah, you're right. All lines start with the same characters. Since Heman and Skeletor are always who open the line (and that's fine) could be cool to have "others" first instead the initial roster.
This is already highly likely. See what they're doing with 1/6? I'd expect the same for the 200x line. If the first year goes well, I'd also expect 6 figures in 2026 with the possibility of a Battle Cat.
Sorry the 200 dollar price is beyond ridiculous for the Real Ghostbusters. Breaks my heart to decline them (especially for the first Boogie Man figure) but Mondo/Sony/Hasbro need to realize we are beyond hard times right. .
My 2 I want the most are Trap Jaw & Tri-Klops(then Gen Rattlor) but I think you’re right about character choice for those first 2 waves.(heroes I’d want are Fisto & Ram Man) As for wishing for ones that didn’t get proper figures are: Mosquitor, Clawful, Stinkor, & Scare Glow.
Downfall in the 2000s was too many He-Man figures. I remembered them going on clearance for $3 or $4 each at the Kay Bee Toys, lol. I'd like to see them do 3 3/4" MOTU line, tho.
When I learnt MONDO was doing MOTU in 1/12 I was incredibly happy to be incredibly disappointed a moment later to learn they were doing the 200x series. I watched the 200x series recently, driven by many comments about it through figures channels talking about MOTU.....and I really loved it ! But as far as the esthetic goes...I hate the character design and feel repeled by it (and that mechanical sword...erk). On that matter I am still very much attached to the old 80s cartoon design and love what MONDO is doing with their 1/6 scale MOTU line. My dream would be to get a 1/12 version of MONDO's MOTU 1/6 line.... Their 1/6 scale is far too big for me and too expensive. But I think it's a great news for all the fans of the show who like to collect this toyline, especially knowing that MONDO will take care of it and also knowing that the price tag will be below the Gohstbusters price line (which seems to be around 100 USD per figure, so I would say 75-80 USD for the 200x line...60 USD...I think Pixel Dan is too optimistic here ;)
Hey dan, thanks for putting together a new perspective on the line, the 2000x line was not on the radar for obvious reasons but mainly because we were driving fancy cars and chasing women. You painted a beautiful picture and hit the nail on the head how this iteration bridged the gap. It's crazy to think how we got classics and back to nostalgia as this is truly the greatest franchise of all time
This has me more excited than anything since Club 200X in the Classics line. I want a LONG list of characters and will happily buy every single one of them. I even hope they throw in figures like Queen Andreeno and the ABC Giants. Also , Snake Armor He-man and Man E Fans with the snake armor from the last few episodes would be awesome.
What a nice video Dan! I could sign every single of your words of love for 200x. This is the best news from SDCC and let’s hope Mondo sticks to the original 4H designs!
Ummm... disagree on that Revelation bit (IMO Revelation/Revolution is the greatest MOTU story ever told. Period.)... But I do love me some good 200X figures!
YIKES! The title of this video was..... more than a little misleading. It's good to know that Mattel is still keeping He-Man and the Masters of the Universe as a brand.
This is exciting stuff! I didn't pay enough attention when the reveal of this line happened, and I assumed that "Mondo" meant "$300, 12 inch figure I'll never be able to justify even though I want it" and just kind of moved on with my day. That said, if the price point is $60, I don't know that I'd buy more than just He-Man and Skeletor. Now, if it's $35-40, and especially with what sounds like possibly only about a dozen or so characters planned... I could see myself buying the whole line.
Wave 1: He-Man, Evil-Lyn, and Beast Man ? Wave 2: Skeltor, Man-At-Arms, and Teela ? No. It is almost ALWAYS the same line up at the beginning. He-Man and Skeletor ....yes, but we need different characters for the rest.
Great info, LOVE your Stuff and YOUR EVERYWHERE, with all Peeps I watch on YT, like all the Cons, Toy Federation, and many others i have see you on, like your content and approach to toys and you collect what you want.
Glad you're so excited for this new line. I hope Mondo scales each character appropriately to an average sized 6.5 inch figure. I can see He-Man and King Grayskull being 7 inches tall, and several of the villains and oversized heroes being at the 7.5 or 8 inch height. The female characters should be at the 6.3 inch mark. I'm hopeful that they will give us characters that didn't get action figures in that line. I'd love to see playsets like Castle Grayskull, Slime Pitt, and Battle Station as well as vehicles. I'm hopeful that Mondo teams up with other retailers so fans can buy figures at their own pace.
I hope Mattel does give license to more companies to produce MOTU based figures. You know, Mondo is just out of reach for most of non-rich countries, so it is cool and all, but, for example, to me as brazilian, it is just vaporware, I will never get one. But just imagina a series based on Ljn's Thundercats format, or Playmobil ones? MAN I WOULD GIVE A LIVER FOR A PLAYMOBIL MOTU LINE! Just think of MOTU x TMNT, but other companies doing it.
I LOVE the MOTU 200X Series, it is amazing, great plots, animation, and designs!!! A line of cool toys with these amazing designs would just rock!!! Great News!!!!
it was now a premium 6” Motu figure I was hoping for something in classic style with the world design, but the 200x are also fine, but they could also put classic style accessories, it would be the best!
@omisokaomisokas5095 look at the 200X cartoon. It's the first depiction of King G in the flesh that i know of. it's a long hair viking looking He-Man basically. I've never watched the Kevin Smith He-Man, but i think thats when hims became "Sun-washed" I'll say
I think they said each wave would be 1 good guy, 2 bad guys right? if so then wave 1 He-Man with Skeletor and Beast Man. Wave 2 Teela with Evil-Lyn and Trap Jaw
I’ll wait a see on this one, but I’m happy that Mondo gets to make these and the fans who always wanted more accurate representations have an opportunity to buy them. I loved 200X back in the day but I’m less enamoured with it now, so I’ll wait to see what they show
I think it’s going to be about 80$ a figure because of the accessories and boxes etc. I also think it’s going to be for the first wave is going to be He-Man, Skeletor and Evil Lyn
I think the first wave will be He-Man, Skeletor and Teela (I hope she comes with Orko), the second wave could be Man-At-Arms, Beast Man and Evil Lynn. ... or just a crazy idea, the first wave are He-Man, Skeletor and King Hisss.
A lower price point than the Ghostbusters 6 inch figure price point? What? $95 per He-Man figure at 6 inches? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s unbelievable that 200X is now 22 years old. I remember how we were all eagerly anticipating the new toys and cartoon, on the org forums. Those were good times! The 200X line is now older than the original toys were when 200X came out. Unbelievable!
I'm excited about these Mondu 200x figures! I'm cautiously optimistic about the pricing but that is what also scares me the most (those are a lot of accessories in the mock up). Thanks for the news and your thoughts on it!
I’m officially old enough for stuff that I grew up to be nostalgic. This and TMNT 200x premium figures is something I’ve been hoping for. I just hope we get battle cat and Panthor with this lines
I grew up on my dad's vintage MOTU toys, but on the 200X cartoon, eventually getting an assortment of those toys as well. I would cry happy tears to get a Mekaneck in this line
Mondos 12" MOTU Figures are north of $200. I could see these being priced $65-$85 pretty easily. I'm sure they will nail the execution, so a lot depends on the price for me. I doubt I will go all in but would like to get some of the core cast at a minimum.
The problems with the 200X series: We could never find the cartoon series on TV or cable. The toy distribution was pretty bad with way to many He-Man and He-Man variants filling up all the shelves.
Ummmm.... Since you asked... Just my 3¢.... BUT.. I think the guess of the $60 bucks price point is far too low!!??!! From what I have seen Mondo has always been pricey!! And I don't see that changing at any point especially moving forward!!??!! Of course I agree about wanting it to be even cheaper than $60!!! But I'm not holding my breath for $60 or below..... Because I will be sadly disappointed when it's not!!
They think theyre God’s gift to the hobby which is how they justify their prices. It’s the Mondo tax. That pretty good price point will probably be something like $79.99. Gee, that’s so much better.
Thank you for this video! Up until right now, I thought that the panel was about the upcoming Mondo statues (which are expensive and not something I collect). Now I know better, and I'm really excited!
It's amazing how rarely this is mentioned by toy tubers and the toy community in general. I'd guess the majority of true 80s and 90s toy nostalgia collectors are probably well into their 40s, 50s and 60s now. It's at the point where launching a new line is tricky, with very few new and/or young toy collectors, you are asking people in their "twilight" years to wait 2-3 years to have some semblance of a real collection of multiple waves. At some point, as you said, some of us won't be around to see a wave 3 of a newly launched toy line.
Very interesting video. By the time we got the show in the Netherlands I already read online that it had ended in the US. I don't know if the toys even were offered here. So glad that Emiliano Santalucia is involved. He also did the concept art for Mondo's 1/6 Teela. 100 dollars for a Buster, 100 dollars for a big ghost. Hmm, I'll gladly take Slimer and the blue ghost for two dollars each. ;-) I also think 60 dollars will be the price for the 200x figures. It's not really King Grayskull without a cape and didn't he have a specific version of the Power Sword? The head in the middle seems to have shorter hair. Prince Adam perhaps? Maybe save these variants for proper figures? Emiliano, Val Staples, convoluted story lines for the Classics line? Getting flashbacks from a certain podcast that got me through work many times. Although it was definitely more fun to listen to in the beginning. I believe Keldor/Skeletor's dual swords were originally meant to be the Power Sword(s) for that series? Not in for the line, but definitely interested to see the designs and price(s).
If they're asking $100 for those 'Busters, I doubt their MOTU figures will be less than $75. At that price point, I wouldn't count on a third wave of figures, let alone the deep cuts.
I would love it if they could match Neca's price point which is around $40; considering Neca's figures comes with lots of accessories, great paint apps and sculpt. But I would not be surprised if they try to go for the super7 price point of around $55; anything higher flips that value vs. price argument. And even at $55, it's gonna be hard to swallow.
Finally you're absolutely right Pixel Dan when stating how important and how the 200x line kept He-man/MOTU alive and fans waiting for more. Great video as always
I'm somewhat relieved with what they said about the price point. After seeing the Ghostbusters price point being roughly $100 per figure, I was scared what these would end up being. Regarding GB, I will probably get the 2-packs to get all 4 Ghostbusters and the ghosts they come with. I'm not sure how far beyond that I will go if that line continues past that unless they make something really compelling. I was a big fan of the 200X line. I didn't get all of the weird variants, but I got all of the different characters and some variants that I liked, and also collected the Neca stactions. And with MOTU Classics, I was pretty much a completest with the line. With Origins and Masterverse, I've very much been cherry picking what I get. I consider Classics my main MOTU line. So while Origin is cool, committing to that scale wasn't something I really wanted to do, and I wasn't interested in starting all over. With Masterverse, since they kinda/sorta scale with Classics, I get the figures with designs that I particularly like, but consider it supplemental to my Classics collection. But for me it was never really a whole new starting point. This Mondo line interests me far more. I guess scale wise, I will still potentially see it as an extension of Classics. These being in that scale is a big part of why I'm interested. But I can see this being a line that I either go all-in on, or at least a lot closer to it than I have with Origins or Masterverse. There may be the occasional release that I pass on depending on the cost and how badly I want certain characters and designs. But I can see this being a line where I get at least most of what is released..... depending on what it costs. I can deal with $60 per figure (I hope it is less), but if it is much more than that, I may have to re-evaulate.
Thanks a lot Danny! This is incredibly humbling for me. Every time I talk about this line, I want to stress that it it is intimidating to step into the Four Horsemen shoes (well, just one shoe, as I'm not sculpting :D), and I will try to do it with the same respect I have for all the vintage design and artists from the original line. You are 100% right, I found more confidence going into this once I considered my work for the comic (yeah, weirdly, it wasn't my very first thought!). The 200x line is very distinctive also for the sculpting style of the figures, not just the overall design. And without Eric Treadaway sculpting, how should I portray that in my designs? I looked back at the comic, and indeed I had created my personal interpretation of those sculpts, and then I realized that was the way to go. Mixed with some hints from the cartoon, especially the scale difference between the characters, which is something I will consider when designing the other guys. Drawing He-Man in that style again was a huge nostalgia trip for me, and I'm so happy that the Mondo team gave me this opportunity and I can't wait to see these coming to life!
It's great news for my wallet and physical space that only 6 figures per year is the plan. I'm in love with my Masterverse collection and I really hope this will fit in scale and size with it. Kind of like a deluxe part of the collection.
As the guy who actually coined the term "200X" on the Org, (my fan term made canon), I approve this message. =) And YES you are correct, it's pronounced TWO THOUSAND X as I intended it.
I hope these fit well with Classics both size-wise and aesthetically. And I hope they are more scuff resistant and less fragile than Mondo’s 1:6 MOTU figures. All that said, characters that were missing from or drastically different than Classics should be front of line for releases here. Sorceress, Trap Jaw, Randor, Adam, Stratos, Evil-lyn, Teela, etc. Each wave should have two more familiar characters and a less common character. I want to break outside of the core group rehashing a bit.
I don't even care about MOTU, but sometimes it's just fun to watch a fellow Toy Boy get excited about an announcement. I hope this line delivers on all of your expectations. With Mondo, it should at least be in good hands.
The 200X designs for the most part were super cool. Every Classics figure that I have loose is displayed with their 200X inspired head. Very much looking forward to seeing these first two waves from Mondo. Sadly, I think the price point will kill the line fairly quickly.
Thanks Dan, so much news coming out of SDCC that I completely missed this. Definitely my favourite MOTU cartoon, and I loved the comic back in the day. It'll be great to see those designs on better figures. But Mondo? Guess it's time to sell the other kidney.
I'm really excited for this line, I'm hoping the price point comes in at $50. Really hoping that the lines gets to all the Horde members, I loved their looks in 200X
Wow! I’m so excited for this line. I’m also a little surprised Mattel would agree to this given how much they are pushing masterverse/new eternia, but I’m not gonna complain about it. 200X definitely has a very special place in my heart, it reignited my love for motu. I hope the price point is fair, given the sheer amount of things included I speculate these will be around the $60-$75 range. As far as who will be included in the first and second waves, I’m right there with you, Dan. I think those are great guesses. Although I can see the possibility of having someone like beast man and maybe another B list villain like stinkor if they’re wanting to stretch out the line as much as possible. I’m really hoping for height differences, I want a really beefy looking beastman. I wonder what we should expect in the articulation department.
Mondo is always overpriced. No matter what they make. Their Ghostbusters are $202.00 for a two pack?! LOL I'll be shocked if Dan is right about his $60.00 guess . But "Mondo" and "reasonably priced" are two phrases that have never gone together.
It's not that crazy considering Marvel and DC have been doing this for years with Mezco and import companies allowing them to compete with Hasbro and Mcfarlane all in relative scales but with wide differences in price

Their real ghostbusters are priced around $100 a piece so I’m guessing this will be similar in price.
yep they have gotten greedy over the last few years might as well call it $200x because the price is going to be closer to 150 if not higher
275 per figure is not doable for an average person. It’s just ridiculous.
Not to mention mention their quality and lack of articulation are an issue.
It's hard to consider them overpriced when the value appreciates on every single item they release.

Wave 1 will feature He-Man and two villain figures
Amazingly said Jada toys comes to mind
Name the companies that are making Mezco quality figs for half the price. I see Mezco style but definitely not Mezco quality. And even those figs are around 2/3 of Mezco prices not 1/2.
Nahhhh... some of us buy mezco, mafex... so we'll pay for this. Also mondo doesn't release 20 figures a year. This is very doable.
@@craxyman9025exactly
@@craxyman9025well...I left you a response, and now I don't see it. It might need approval or it might have gotten removed? Sooo...it's possible I'm not allowed to mention those things here. Google it, I guess. 🤷🏻
I just want to say, Pixel Dan's dedication and enthusiasm for MOTU is what keep the MOTU line thriving for many fans (like me).
Yet he never gave us his thoughts on revelation or revolution
To the Mondo team (if you’re reading this): 1) I would like to see certain characters properly scaled. For example, Beast Man was imagined to be larger than an average human in the 200x series. There are other examples, such as Leech. Even if it means a higher price point, please consider it. 2) I understand that every MOTU line starts with a pretty much same roster, but please surprise us. Throw in early on an outlier, a character that did not receive a figure, ala Hordak. Thank you.
I agree... I trust the Mondo team
200X really was an amazing cartoon. Too bad we never got to finish off that 2nd season.
Sorry the 200 dollar price is beyond ridiculous for the Real Ghostbusters. Breaks my heart to decline them (especially for the first Boogie Man figure) but Mondo/Sony/Hasbro need to realize we are beyond hard times right. .
Love to see the 200x cartoon continue
But I think it's a great news for all the fans of the show who like to collect this toyline, especially knowing that MONDO will take care of it and also knowing that the price tag will be below the Gohstbusters price line (which seems to be around 100 USD per figure, so I would say 75-80 USD for the 200x line...60 USD...I think Pixel Dan is too optimistic here ;)
Being a very big He-Man fan especially of the 200x line, I can't wait to get my hands on them.
2000x was incredible I wish would have gotten one more season to see hordak
Queen Andreeno!!! Yes!!! Been wanting her!!!
What a nice video Dan! I could sign every single of your words of love for 200x. This is the best news from SDCC and let’s hope Mondo sticks to the original 4H designs!
is this Mondo’s first 1:12 line? i’m in for these, they should have continued the 200X story instead of Revelation. 200X MOTU is best MOTU
Agree, a 200x cartoon sequel would also be a Dream.
@@dansteger7874 with the original cast or as many as possible. Cam Clarke is goated
Ummm... disagree on that Revelation bit (IMO Revelation/Revolution is the greatest MOTU story ever told. Period.)... But I do love me some good 200X figures!
@@bap3141 I was talking about a cartoon, not your mom.
YIKES!
The title of this video was.....
more than a little misleading.
It's good to know that Mattel is still keeping He-Man and the Masters of the Universe as a brand.
Emeliano's work is OUTSTANDING!
I really enjoyed the 200X series. and I grew up with the other series. Honestly, I just want more Snakemen
Great info, LOVE your Stuff and YOUR EVERYWHERE, with all Peeps I watch on YT, like all the Cons, Toy Federation, and many others i have see you on, like your content and approach to toys and you collect what you want.
I love the Roboto 200x very much.
It's my favorite version of him, I got even a nickname "Roberto" for him. lol
Thanks Dan, love the attention this reveal has received and can’t wait!
Just think of MOTU x TMNT, but other companies doing it.
also for Europeans, the price will be x2 if nor more
I LOVE the MOTU 200X Series, it is amazing, great plots, animation, and designs!!! A line of cool toys with these amazing designs would just rock!!! Great News!!!!
it was now a premium 6” Motu figure I was hoping for something in classic style with the world design, but the 200x are also fine, but they could also put classic style accessories, it would be the best!
You say it’s king greyskull’s head, but perhaps it’s 200x he-man’s prototype head?
That was the original King Greyskull's head, they made him a Sun Man for the Origins line (for some reason unknown to me)
Yeah, I don't think that is a KG head at all. It's intended more like a long hair version of Heman.
@omisokaomisokas5095 look at the 200X cartoon. It's the first depiction of King G in the flesh that i know of. it's a long hair viking looking He-Man basically. I've never watched the Kevin Smith He-Man, but i think thats when hims became "Sun-washed" I'll say
The original 200X He-Man concept by the 4 Horsemen had a long hair, before development. The MYP King Grayskull was inspired by it afterwards.
@@omisokaomisokas5095I agree 👍
Hey 200X got me so it at least got one kid on board back in the day!
We need a 1:12 King Grayskull with a Battle Lion using the 1.6 battle cat mold/buck. The Battle Lion from matty collector was too small. ⚔️
I NEED a 200X Green Goddess!!
I'd say 80$, it's from Mondo, and with a lot of accessories, so...Can't wait to have it
Agreed that this series was cut too short and brought me back to MOTU. Love the expansion of the lore this series created. Excited for these figures!
I think they said each wave would be 1 good guy, 2 bad guys right? if so then wave 1 He-Man with Skeletor and Beast Man. Wave 2 Teela with Evil-Lyn and Trap Jaw
How would have anyone thought it would have been pronounced TWO-HUNDRED-X? I guess if someone had no clue at all and just read it on a page maybe.
I haven't seen the 200x series, but I know the influence was strong afterwards and now Mondo is making a new line of figures and I think it's great.
So pumped for this line, good displayable size to really collect those classic characters I had back in the beginning of He-Man
A lower price point than the Ghostbusters 6 inch figure price point?
Great vid, as usual! I'd love to see Trap-Jaw in the first wave--all those accessories....
The problems with the 200X series:
We could never find the cartoon series on TV or cable.
I would like to see Neca take a shot at MOTU. But I’m excited because the 200x designs are my absolute favorite.
Thank you for this video! Up until right now, I thought that the panel was about the upcoming Mondo statues (which are expensive and not something I collect). Now I know better, and I'm really excited!
I hope they bring really good articulation - pin-less double joints, butterfly joints, and really good ankle articulation!
6 figs a year is easy on the pockets, but. Most of us will pass away before we can collect this entire line. A Lot of us are are pushing 60😂
Mondo needs to make a SnakeMan. Maybe King Hiss?
I believe the price point will be $79.99 and when the time comes please review these figures in their own individual videos 😅
I'm onboard with the 2000X now 🤔
@@Elbethium *200x.
I liked the dynamic action of the 200x series.
3 pack is always a big fcukup for those who don't buy every figure that comes out :(
Emiliano Santa Lucia and Val Staples brings the power return with 200x and thanks to that ... All we have now exists
On a more serious note. I'll probably pick a few up here or there. Thundercats 1:6 Scale is coming as you know, D. That takes precedence 😅
I got distracted with D'compose in the background. Great Figure. Hyped for the mondo 6 inch line.
That’s an $80 figure. Excited for in hand
I like to see figures of Hordak and The Horde. Really loved the design for them in 200X.
Mondo 200x Mosquitor would be cool but Rio Blast is a must have for me!
The 200X designs for the most part were super cool. Every Classics figure that I have loose is displayed with their 200X inspired head. Very much looking forward to seeing these first two waves from Mondo. Sadly, I think the price point will kill the line fairly quickly.
I would love a “disco” Skeletor if these end up with repaints
Thanks Dan, so much news coming out of SDCC that I completely missed this. Definitely my favourite MOTU cartoon, and I loved the comic back in the day. It'll be great to see those designs on better figures. But Mondo? Guess it's time to sell the other kidney.
We need Illumina in this line!
I'm really excited for this line, I'm hoping the price point comes in at $50. Really hoping that the lines gets to all the Horde members, I loved their looks in 200X
Let Mondo have it and let's have mattel focus on finishing the vintage line in origins...
Mondo should be able to kill it barring the price being right...
_GASP-!
$202 for a 6 inch Ghostbuster and a ghost figure two-pack?!
NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO POSSIBLE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mondo is always overpriced. No matter what they make. Their Ghostbusters are $202.00 for a two pack?! LOL
I'll be shocked if Dan is right about his $60.00 guess .
But "Mondo" and "reasonably priced" are two phrases that have never gone together.
$60, I think that’s a little low. I hope I’m wrong but thought a minimum of $70. Again I hope you’re right.
It's not that crazy considering Marvel and DC have been doing this for years with Mezco and import companies allowing them to compete with Hasbro and Mcfarlane all in relative scales but with wide differences in price
