Really enjoying your material...and learning a lot. Thank you. As a long, long time S1 user, I'm just moving over to Live, and your channel is making that even more enjoyable. Thanks!
Thanks for the reminder. I've used envelope followers a lot in the analog realm and understand their function very well, but rarely reach for them inside Ableton. I'll do so more in the future. 🤨
Have you seen 2L&L's video titled "This tiny Ableton rack is absurdly powerful." where he uses phase cancelation in a way I've never seen before for sound design. It's very interesting and I'd love to possible here your take on it in a video :)
Vav..again and again You bring for me interesting usable Ableton videos.( The one with mono got me right up into the red field) If I could afford it. I would buy all your courses..Praise praise and praise again.
13:48 you can always switch env. follower from the new modulation mode to old remote mode and it will now be visible in the EQ8 curve what it's doing. It will require more tweaks to set up correctly (with offset specifically), but it works. Might require 2nd instance though.
I’m pretty sure I found the envelope follower through your channel and I’ve worn a hole in it since then…thanks for some cool new workouts. FYI there is a killer M4L dynamic eq that has a sidechain input. It’s called equation by incandescent. I found it via ELPHNT. Happy music making. 🤙🏽🖤😎🕺
Great! What if we use it with one lead sound melody and another follower sound synth pattern or pad pattern? Will it change the root notes of follower pattern based on changing notes of lead melody?

As a big NIN fan, I really appreciate the sound design references in your videos.
I’ve been looking for more use cases for Envelope Follower, so this came at a great time! Thanks dude!
The more I hear those drums, I cant help but hear Massive Attack "I against I"
First reaction
I hear it too

Just watched that! Super interesting way to use phase cancelation!
@@eurometrixproductions7 It really is! The possibilities it offers are very unique and exciting imo
This is great, thank you for this !
envelope follower is literally the answer

23:54 a tip for anyone modulating gain:
Always keep a limiter on your master track. ALWAYS.
Great tutorial! This totally changed my perspective on sound design as I’m switching from fl studio.
bro I want to take these classes to bad. love you're stuff, always thorough.
also this is only for Ableton 12s EF...bummer
I’m so dumb…you can do this with automation. EF does have a feel but automation works too
Got that oldschool 2012 American bass vibe :)
first time watching. super chill explanations thank you!
The eyebrows working in that first minute, broooooo :). Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

“Hey, a quick message from our video sponsor, me” is the best non sales pitch ever 🖤🤙🏽 thanks boss.
it has an Idioteque vibe. Love it!

Really nice Anthony.
amazing, really fun technique
like it, love it, want some more of it
Great tutorial!!!✌🙏
1:28, I'm using Ableton 12.1 beta and they've added sidechain to it so you may put it down stream and still control where it can pick the signal.
Super great video! Thank you
I wish the envelope follower had look ahead. Probably not possible for Ableton to implement but it would be immensely helpful.
you must hate the "We Will Rock You" beat 😅 Thanks for this awesome tip, the envelope follower is amazing!

That's cool, you basically made a Pulsar-23 like sounding patch just using ableton.. Maybe just maybe I could save $2000
❤❤❤❤❤❤
🤟
Not super good sound design, but still great tips. Thanks
the project won't play, might be something with the output settings. the out vu is blue in color, what might be wrong?
@@snd2-p2o switch the output to 1/2
Are there any vsts that do this?? I don’t use Ableton
