Matt Borne (Doink) constantly picked fights with his fellow wrestlers. One night, Borne got in a fight with Brian Blair, who "bit off his lower lip." Borne's lip was reattached, but he had a crooked smile for the rest of his life -- which added to the creepiness of the Doink character.

My friend reacted in shock and Matt Borne was about to take him out with a stiff punch, before his opponent stiffed him to get his attention lol.
Dick the Bruiser didn't have to look for fights, he was so sold as a heel that at the hight of his career there wasn't too many places he could go without someone trying to attack him.
Buddy Landel was the only wrestler I saw live that just walked out of the ring and gave up. Of course, he was up against Dr. Death Steve Williams... so there is that.

I worked with Cowboy Bob in the mid 90s at a local bar. He was the nicest guy and told some great stories about the wrestling I watched as a kid. I also saw him open hand slap a guy who was getting out of line. The dude crumbled. I think he was in his mid forties when this happened.
