I´m 52 in july so the 80`s was my decade!! Still love it! The bands often didn´t pick the easy way when making songs it was often many layers and turns! But nearly always a nice melody or a catchy loop to lift the song!!! Take care!!!

Turn the volume up, this song is just so awesome to listen to. Really it's just the peak of the genre, and still sounds fantastic today. I love the surreal lyrics and the video that goes along with it - the dancing chair is just freaky. They probably weren't huge in Australia at the time, but a friend put me on to them back then and this album has always been one of my faves. It's been on high rotation in recent months, and fuck, it's still really great. Also great to see Claudia and Susanne keeping things going in recent times. They just got better over time.

As with anything in the 80's the difference between success and total failure was paper thin. From total luxury and fulfillment to nuthing at all in a heartbeat. It was the decade of contrast. In terms of music it reflected the era, being very fluctuate and diverse. Lipson and Horn made it memorable indeed. Remembering putting the vinyl needle to the plastic and hearing the heavy and sophisticated audio of Propaganda whilst thinking of my stock market investments.

Finally a youtube version with good audio. Imagine how good this would sound if it was possible to reengineer all the original audio channels/tracks. I don't know what happened in the studio back then, but this could definitely have sounded better even back in 1985. I bought the album in high school, as soon as I heard one of the songs - it might have been in 1986. I'm not good at production technology, so I can't really tell what they did. Perhaps they compressed the audio too much? The orchestral hits sound muffled and not clear and crisp as this popular synth sound sounded with other groups that used samplers. Vocal and drum tracks also sound damped or muffled. I always found an issue with this back then, when comparing with contemporary synth music with similar sound, although I really liked this band's songs
