The rubber pants is such a stupid choice. With that being said, I hope the game dimension figures does characters and costumes from ALL the tekken games.(example Tekken 3 Yoshimitsu and Tekken 2 Devil) it’d be like there Gundam universe line or Halo Spartan collection
Man, when I see the break on that rubber material, it just reminds me of my Mezco Wolverine when I stress the pants just to get some sort of decent pose... it's cringe. Getting a clothe goods pants will make it better for sure though; but hopefully there's pants that have the dope design of the original pants. The red jumpsuit is pretty sweet though! Great review! Definitely will be getting the SHF Tekken figs instead
The figuarts jin looks pretty cool, the costume is not my favorite. The Kazuya looks sick though. I'm interested to see how the female characters would turn out. I would definitely get a figuarts Asuka
In their Canon, Jin is 5'11" Kazuya is 5'11.5" Heihachi is 5'10" Iron Man is 6'6" in the suit So the scale doesn't match up perfectly, but it's close enough for my sensibilities.
Aside from paint chipping, do you thing bending the rubber pants will cause structural wear and tear over time? Like, will they crack open/rip/tear? Because it it's just the paint chipping, i might get one snd custom paint them to look like his Tekken 3 pants
The rubber pants is such a strange move from Bandai. Why not just stick with what they were doing? Doubtful I’ll pick this up now. Great review and I liked the alternatives you came up with. How about a straight swap with Kazuya’s legs and then a repaint perhaps?
The paint flaking off the pants does suck… but aside from that I don’t think the pants are actually that bad and I kinda like the idea. Could’ve been executed better for sure but with baggy pants it definitely looks more seamless that way over big blocky knee joints. If they did it for Heihachi for example it would’ve been perfect, especially since his are just plain grey with no design to chip away. Then again, I have zero attachment to Tekken and I got a few of these just for my Smash collection (Kazuya) and to pair them with with Jada SF for SFxT so I don’t mind some experimentation from this line.
I’m getting Tekken 8 For My Birthday, My Birthday Is On The 27th, And The Game is Coming out on the 26th, Which Means It’s coming out on the Day Before My Birthday! 🎉

I wonder if it's possible to remove the plastic arm wraps altogether. Is it sculpted on? Or is it a separate piece on top of his bicep?

I was very iffy on this figure despite me having him, Kazuya is the better figure. Hopefully a regular version of him will be like Kazuya instead

Yeah that would've been the best option. Or his blue/white/yellow flame track suit, that would've been really sick

It's so weird. With his rubber pants on, his legs look proportionate.
But once removed, and cloth pants are put on, his legs seem shorter.

Yeah, I really wish the legs were just a Kazuya repaint. Painting Kazuya's legs is too much work for me so I'll just stick to different cloth paints.
