@unique838 There are some rules about syllable stress. I talk about them in Chapter Five of my book "Mastering the American Accent." However, there are also many exceptions. So, unfortunately, you will just have to use your dictionary. Also, listen carefully to how native speakers pronounce those words. Best wishes!

An old and fantastic lesson. If I am asked for a tip about learning English, especially if you are an alone wolf in you mother contry, start any lesson with 5-10 minutes of pronunciation exercice. Shadow three or five sentences. They may be easy and short if you are tired. That is all.
