It kinda hurts, especially if you flail like Tae did, but it doesn't kill you. So Fiona is probably completely right ^^

Does anyone else think that Jin is the one who is dead (because in multiple scenes you can see that he is barefooted and that is a symbol of death) and all the boys are suffering from his death, and become suicidal. Tae is taking it the worst though, since he holds it all in and kills his father in an act of rage (I Need U). In prologue, Jin is watching over them, and the boys are thinking about all the fun times they had together. Eventually Tae decides he cant take it anymore and tries to commit suicide. He doesn't succeed though. In Run, the boys are acting out because they think they are doing it for Jin. When Jin sees the house of cards fall, he reacts strangely, realizing that he is in fact not there, but dead. In Young Forever, they try getting over their loss. In Fire they try to erase all the bad things they've done by burning them. In Spring Day, they have all gotten over their loss. All except Tae. Tae once again tries to take his life by being run over by the train. When Jk and RP close their eyes, this means that they have realized its too late for Tae. The shoes are Tae's shoes since they are by the water where he first tried committing suicide. Jin dies because he overdosed and was in a really bad car accident (the car in water in prologue and the water at Jins feet during Fire). He had had his relationship with the girl from Just One Day and Boy In Luv.

Many theory think Jin is dead because that he is barefooted. And even in their pictorial. Jin isn't wearing any shoes and holding a pill. The flower that Jin is holding.... They say its poisonous. And as the same theory as you he died because of some issues with a girl in "Just One Day" and "Boy in luv".
I doubt it. Having someone actually died in the story is inconclusive and very discouraging. BTS is all about saving the youth so it will end with a happy ending; the boys all lived and they're finally facing their troubles.
Jin was time travelling. At first, the boys were all having a hard time, Rm and Tae being behind the bars, Jimin and Hobi were on a hospital, and Jungkook and Yoongi were dead. He was so sad about the news and went to the sea and there he had time to think what happened to them. They were like so happy before but now it was like just a mess. Then the time travelling thing began to happen and he did that to save the boys from their nightmares. I do not know how exactly he did that but base on the webtoon, a voice was talking to him about correcting all the wrongs and all that. And i guess, the one talking to him was the fallen angel. That explains why he kissed the statue with black wings on the bst music video. Maybe the "boy meets evil" means that Jin, made a sort of like an agreement with the evil to like save the boys. Well i dont know I'm just a potato kid getting sooo puzzled rn because of the webtoon "Save Me". I'm not really a webtoon enthusiast or smthng so yeah.

I don't think I've enjoyed reactions this much. They have such educated opinions and genuinely Care for every aspect of the mv like the cinematography, music, and the storyline. And best of all, they appreciate that art placed in front of them. Thank you dear person behind the camera for creating this channel because as much as I like fangirling over videos, input like this makes me appreciate things I wouldn't have seen and helps me see people that also appreciate details ( i was always annoyed at no one commenting on the sky at the end and freeze shot but now I'm happy :") ) ps- since all the reactors are educated in music, I feel they would quite enjoy house of cards the masterpiece that is the full version. There's also the channel AJ Lusby (my friend and I call him the "Kpop dad" haha) he's an actor that's good at articulating his appreciation for cinematography and lyrics while still being silly and dancing to the music. He hasn't uploaded in a few months but he has a lot of reactions, some of them featuring his brother and friends whom he's gradually introduced to kpop as well. Mimi T is another excellent channel for reactions, not so much for watching MVs but for lyrical analysis. They're very funny and have a lot of fun, but they almost always take time out to read the lyrics and save time for a discussion of the meaning behind them and it's just the best thing I love it. :>

And their perspective here as well makes the most sense if we're talking about people really seeing these videos for the first time and not knowing what the series was about in the first place.
i really like this series with seeing how people that aren't super invested in the groups as groups, and more seeing it from the perspective of people watching the video things and actual music of the music (if that makes sense!) It's really good though and i like they way you edit it too (as well as the people) have you considered doing the wings tour trailer for bts? i really like that remix they used for the soundtrack, and i know it's short which could make it more effort to make a video for less stuff, but because it's short it could be easier to just show it to your friends after one of the others? thank-you for all of these though!
Galaxy Dragon:Totally agree with your first paragraph. "Fanning-out" is only entertaining for a limited amount of time. Umu, in her solo reactions, is sometimes an "over the top fan-girl" to me. But it doesn't continue through the whole reaction video. In fact she usually recovers to her "normal" style quickly. I almost always enjoy the balance of her kpop fan-girl, musician analyst and regular music lover of virtually all of her solo reaction videos.

So I cried a little when y'all were talking about losing people as you get older, because you guys remind me so much of the group of friends that I had when I was a music major in college, which has been over 15 years ago now. I come across some of them every now and again, but for the most part all I have are memories. I have never really connected the message from HYYH to that part of my life. I personally love that scene when Taehyung jumped off the bridge. It's such a haunting scene that i have to watch it over and over again, and listen to the song as closely as possible.Remember, Taehyung jumped off the bridge when he was having such a good time with his friends, esp in comparison to his personal issue with his family. Tae decided to jump off the bridge when he was having probably the best time of his life.He was trying to cling on to that short, beautiful moment of youth. Youth is just like the life cycle of a butterfly, beautiful, but so short and fragile.And that moment when Tae jumped, everything just froze. He wanted to jump, because only by that way can his youth stay forever.

[Important note: The following theory and all subsequent theories/explanations for the HYYH Trilogy have been published on this site back in July 2016, so before the Wings short films were released - and confirmed all this was indeed accurate.] The HYYH Trilogy is simply a coming of age story. It tells the struggles the boys are facing while transitioning from childhood to adulthood, from being caterpillars to being butterflies (chrysalis stage). But it’s even more so the story of Jin struggling with his own metamorphosis, trying to return to the “pretend world” of Neverland where he thinks he will be able to reconnect with his youthful self and feel as a whole again. Filled with dense, thoughtful symbolism, the Trilogy has an Inception-like feel to it (with an outright reference to the movie in the Prologue, using its soundtrack during the end credits). I NEED U, The Prologue and Run are a retelling of the same events, over and over, with shifting timelines and perspectives between characters. Readings of what the boys are aren’t mutually exclusive (far from it): each of the boys has his own storyline, illustrating typical stages and feelings of adolescent life: self-hatred and pain (J-Hope), grief and depression (Jimin), anger and rebellion (V), angst and confusion (Suga), volatility and longing (JKook), denial and survival (Rapmon) - what they go through and represent can be interpreted differently depending on the viewer. They are their own selves, with their own, multi-layered narratives, but they should primarily be interpreted as parts of Jin’s own psyche (Jin is indeed referred to as #psique on Instagram for the concept pictures). Ultimately, the whole HYYH Trilogy is about the process of transitioning from boyhood to adulthood Jin goes through, and an allegory for growing up. In order to reconcile his old and new self and be able to move forward, all the boys will have to come to terms with the end of youth so they can all move on together to the next stage of life (Jin’s life). Until then though, they’ll be stuck and won’t be able to break the cycle of dreams that makes them relive their struggles. As with Inception, the subject of the Trilogy is not the more blatant one. The movie was ultimately about the inner journey of a man, Dom Cobb, struggling against himself and his regrets over the death of his wife, haunting him and preventing him from moving on. The piece “Je ne regrette rien” by Edith Piaf is used every time as a wake-up song for people involved in a common dream to tell them the effect of the sedative will soon end and that they will wake up. It is played here at the end of the Prologue with the same intention to wake the boys up from their common dreamland, their Neverland. Both in the movie and the Prologue MV, the message behind the song is obvious: “Do not regret anything”. The lyrics tell Dom Cobb to stop living in regrets, to set aside his obsession about the death of his wife and go on without her; they tell Jin, ou main character/entity, the same thing: to stop living in regrets, to set aside his obsession about the end of youth and move on. More than a concept about the Most Beautiful Moment in Life, truly the HYYH Trilogy is about the hardships of growing up and letting go of one’s youth (butterfly metamorphosis). The flash backs to happy times are only there to remind us of what has been lost. But there’s a message of hope behind this, still. In the end, Jin is able to reconnect with his whole self and move forward, taking the Lost Boys of Neverland with him into the real world. Jin first thought he had to leave the emotions of his youth (personified by the boys) behind in order to become an adult, but comes to realise by the end that he does not have to, that youth really is a state of mind. This will later be reaffirmed very loud and clear with Forever Young and Fire, outside the Trilogy but still part of the HYYH cycle. [Edit, September 2016: As for the Wings short films, they are an umpteenth reenactment of HYYH, but based this time on the classic coming of age story of Demian, written by Hermann Hesse. Whereas the HYYH cycle had left most viewers confused, the Wings short films gave away some pretty straight-forward answers, but also put a greater focus on individuality and morality, most probably to fit Bangtan’s new concept of “Boy meets evil” for the new, more mature Wings era (it seems they will also have solos). By introducing the notion of good and evil, the Wings short films actually serve as a link between the 2 eras.]

actually, my theory is that Jin is the only one who is dead and in I need you the others are all suicidal whilst grieving, but Jim is just moving to heaven. In prologue jin is on his way to heaven and as he is transitioning to that paradise he remembers all the good times he's had with his best friends, which is why he watched from afar or through a camera instead of taking part, it's also why he spaced out when he saw the butterfly (because it made him realise he was actually dead), and it's also why Suga wasn't in the picture. the reason tae jumped was because in real time he had just killed his father. So the prologue starts with v in real life having killed his father and calling rap mon for help, then it goes to jins imagination as he ascends to paradise with tae all alone until he is greeted by Ramon. also with the golf scene they hit a toy car into the water, the toy car symbolises the way jin died which was an overdose that lead to him drowning in his car. this is also shown at the end as the camera angles make it look like he is surrounded by water in his car. there are so many more hints to what happened that are explained in this video I watched that I will link down below. I think you will find it interesting and in my opinion jin being dead makes more sense than all 6 of them being dead. thanks for reading x

They are confused. And I'm happy. Because I also confused af when the first time I watched those videos. I need friends to feel my pain too. Anyway, the realest meaning IMO is what Leah said. It's about how you grow up and the more you grow mature and you'll face problems and it'll change how you think about the world. This is like Omelas. When you grow, and see the poor child and know that life isn't full of happiness, and you walk away from Omelas to grow maturer and face the world. Everything seems ambiguous and have many meanings. The lyric meanings, the MV, and how you interpret them into something more logical and relatable to people. Actually BTS are insane people who make amazing crazy things called art.

I just love when Hugo and Gwen blow up at each other. And Hugo's face when he's waiting for Gwen to shut up...*ded* I'm so impressed with Davis being able to match names to faces. Even with fans that sometimes takes a while. He and Lindsey are really invested in the story(and suga-kookie). I love seeing this serious, mature side to Leah. I love these videos so much. ♡ It's amazing hearing the opinions of musicians who hear so much more than the rest of us do. Obviously as fans we already appreciate and love the music, but it means even more to hear actual musicians appreciating it as well and complimenting things we didn't even know were making the songs so impressive. It's so fun seeing everyone getting into the stories of the songs, and figuring out who is who. I feel that there is no definite theory to the Trilogy, BS&T & Spring Day(If you want to combine all of them together). Jin could be dead or the other 6 could be dead or none of them are dead and the "deaths" were just a representation of the obstacles you go through as you grow up and weren't supposed to take it literally. Since they are talking about youth afterall in their series. But hey, there is no fix theory since BigHit/Lumpen/BTS have not confirmed any. So i feel its best to let them make their own guesses and theories since that's where its interesting seeing how others look at it.

Does anyone else think that Jin is the one who is dead (because in multiple scenes you can see that he is barefooted and that is a symbol of death) and all the boys are suffering from his death, and become suicidal. Tae is taking it the worst though, since he holds it all in and kills his father in an act of rage (I Need U). In prologue, Jin is watching over them, and the boys are thinking about all the fun times they had together. Eventually Tae decides he cant take it anymore and tries to commit suicide. He doesn't succeed though. In Run, the boys are acting out because they think they are doing it for Jin. When Jin sees the house of cards fall, he reacts strangely, realizing that he is in fact not there, but dead. In Young Forever, they try getting over their loss. In Fire they try to erase all the bad things they've done by burning them. In Spring Day, they have all gotten over their loss. All except Tae. Tae once again tries to take his life by being run over by the train. When Jk and RP close their eyes, this means that they have realized its too late for Tae. The shoes are Tae's shoes since they are by the water where he first tried committing suicide.
Jin dies because he overdosed and was in a really bad car accident (the car in water in prologue and the water at Jins feet during Fire). He had had his relationship with the girl from Just One Day and Boy In Luv.

I doubt it. Having someone actually died in the story is inconclusive and very discouraging. BTS is all about saving the youth so it will end with a happy ending; the boys all lived and they're finally facing their troubles.
Jin was time travelling. At first, the boys were all having a hard time, Rm and Tae being behind the bars, Jimin and Hobi were on a hospital, and Jungkook and Yoongi were dead. He was so sad about the news and went to the sea and there he had time to think what happened to them. They were like so happy before but now it was like just a mess. Then the time travelling thing began to happen and he did that to save the boys from their nightmares. I do not know how exactly he did that but base on the webtoon, a voice was talking to him about correcting all the wrongs and all that. And i guess, the one talking to him was the fallen angel. That explains why he kissed the statue with black wings on the bst music video. Maybe the "boy meets evil" means that Jin, made a sort of like an agreement with the evil to like save the boys. Well i dont know I'm just a potato kid getting sooo puzzled rn because of the webtoon "Save Me". I'm not really a webtoon enthusiast or smthng so yeah.

There's also the channel AJ Lusby (my friend and I call him the "Kpop dad" haha) he's an actor that's good at articulating his appreciation for cinematography and lyrics while still being silly and dancing to the music. He hasn't uploaded in a few months but he has a lot of reactions, some of them featuring his brother and friends whom he's gradually introduced to kpop as well.

i really like this series with seeing how people that aren't super invested in the groups as groups, and more seeing it from the perspective of people watching the video things and actual music of the music (if that makes sense!) It's really good though and i like they way you edit it too (as well as the people)
have you considered doing the wings tour trailer for bts? i really like that remix they used for the soundtrack, and i know it's short which could make it more effort to make a video for less stuff, but because it's short it could be easier to just show it to your friends after one of the others?

Galaxy Dragon:Totally agree with your first paragraph. "Fanning-out" is only entertaining for a limited amount of time. Umu, in her solo reactions, is sometimes an "over the top fan-girl" to me. But it doesn't continue through the whole reaction video. In fact she usually recovers to her "normal" style quickly.
I almost always enjoy the balance of her kpop fan-girl, musician analyst and regular music lover of virtually all of her solo reaction videos.
Well sometimes they act invested in some groups because they are slowly starting to like them, u should see their past videos! And kpop would not be what it is today if at the start there would not have been people invested in groups.

It's such a haunting scene that i have to watch it over and over again, and listen to the song as closely as possible.Remember, Taehyung jumped off the bridge when he was having such a good time with his friends, esp in comparison to his personal issue with his family. Tae decided to jump off the bridge when he was having probably the best time of his life.He was trying to cling on to that short, beautiful moment of youth. Youth is just like the life cycle of a butterfly, beautiful, but so short and fragile.And that moment when Tae jumped, everything just froze. He wanted to jump, because only by that way can his youth stay forever.

[Important note: The following theory and all subsequent theories/explanations for the HYYH Trilogy have been published on this site back in July 2016, so before the Wings short films were released - and confirmed all this was indeed accurate.]
The HYYH Trilogy is simply a coming of age story. It tells the struggles the boys are facing while transitioning from childhood to adulthood, from being caterpillars to being butterflies (chrysalis stage). But it’s even more so the story of Jin struggling with his own metamorphosis, trying to return to the “pretend world” of Neverland where he thinks he will be able to reconnect with his youthful self and feel as a whole again.
Filled with dense, thoughtful symbolism, the Trilogy has an Inception-like feel to it (with an outright reference to the movie in the Prologue, using its soundtrack during the end credits). I NEED U, The Prologue and Run are a retelling of the same events, over and over, with shifting timelines and perspectives between characters. Readings of what the boys are aren’t mutually exclusive (far from it): each of the boys has his own storyline, illustrating typical stages and feelings of adolescent life: self-hatred and pain (J-Hope), grief and depression (Jimin), anger and rebellion (V), angst and confusion (Suga), volatility and longing (JKook), denial and survival (Rapmon) - what they go through and represent can be interpreted differently depending on the viewer. They are their own selves, with their own, multi-layered narratives, but they should primarily be interpreted as parts of Jin’s own psyche (Jin is indeed referred to as #psique on Instagram for the concept pictures). Ultimately, the whole HYYH Trilogy is about the process of transitioning from boyhood to adulthood Jin goes through, and an allegory for growing up. In order to reconcile his old and new self and be able to move forward, all the boys will have to come to terms with the end of youth so they can all move on together to the next stage of life (Jin’s life). Until then though, they’ll be stuck and won’t be able to break the cycle of dreams that makes them relive their struggles.
As with Inception, the subject of the Trilogy is not the more blatant one. The movie was ultimately about the inner journey of a man, Dom Cobb, struggling against himself and his regrets over the death of his wife, haunting him and preventing him from moving on. The piece “Je ne regrette rien” by Edith Piaf is used every time as a wake-up song for people involved in a common dream to tell them the effect of the sedative will soon end and that they will wake up. It is played here at the end of the Prologue with the same intention to wake the boys up from their common dreamland, their Neverland. Both in the movie and the Prologue MV, the message behind the song is obvious: “Do not regret anything”. The lyrics tell Dom Cobb to stop living in regrets, to set aside his obsession about the death of his wife and go on without her; they tell Jin, ou main character/entity, the same thing: to stop living in regrets, to set aside his obsession about the end of youth and move on.
More than a concept about the Most Beautiful Moment in Life, truly the HYYH Trilogy is about the hardships of growing up and letting go of one’s youth (butterfly metamorphosis). The flash backs to happy times are only there to remind us of what has been lost. But there’s a message of hope behind this, still. In the end, Jin is able to reconnect with his whole self and move forward, taking the Lost Boys of Neverland with him into the real world.
Jin first thought he had to leave the emotions of his youth (personified by the boys) behind in order to become an adult, but comes to realise by the end that he does not have to, that youth really is a state of mind. This will later be reaffirmed very loud and clear with Forever Young and Fire, outside the Trilogy but still part of the HYYH cycle.
[Edit, September 2016: As for the Wings short films, they are an umpteenth reenactment of HYYH, but based this time on the classic coming of age story of Demian, written by Hermann Hesse. Whereas the HYYH cycle had left most viewers confused, the Wings short films gave away some pretty straight-forward answers, but also put a greater focus on individuality and morality, most probably to fit Bangtan’s new concept of “Boy meets evil” for the new, more mature Wings era (it seems they will also have solos). By introducing the notion of good and evil, the Wings short films actually serve as a link between the 2 eras.]

actually, my theory is that Jin is the only one who is dead and in I need you the others are all suicidal whilst grieving, but Jim is just moving to heaven. In prologue jin is on his way to heaven and as he is transitioning to that paradise he remembers all the good times he's had with his best friends, which is why he watched from afar or through a camera instead of taking part, it's also why he spaced out when he saw the butterfly (because it made him realise he was actually dead), and it's also why Suga wasn't in the picture. the reason tae jumped was because in real time he had just killed his father. So the prologue starts with v in real life having killed his father and calling rap mon for help, then it goes to jins imagination as he ascends to paradise with tae all alone until he is greeted by Ramon. also with the golf scene they hit a toy car into the water, the toy car symbolises the way jin died which was an overdose that lead to him drowning in his car. this is also shown at the end as the camera angles make it look like he is surrounded by water in his car. there are so many more hints to what happened that are explained in this video I watched that I will link down below. I think you will find it interesting and in my opinion jin being dead makes more sense than all 6 of them being dead. thanks for reading x

Anyway, the realest meaning IMO is what Leah said. It's about how you grow up and the more you grow mature and you'll face problems and it'll change how you think about the world. This is like Omelas. When you grow, and see the poor child and know that life isn't full of happiness, and you walk away from Omelas to grow maturer and face the world.

I love these videos so much. ♡ It's amazing hearing the opinions of musicians who hear so much more than the rest of us do. Obviously as fans we already appreciate and love the music, but it means even more to hear actual musicians appreciating it as well and complimenting things we didn't even know were making the songs so impressive. It's so fun seeing everyone getting into the stories of the songs, and figuring out who is who. They were really on point, that's why I love this channel so much, and I'm more proud now of BTS, because of how the message they wanted to get across was captured in the people who thought about it. But even with lots of theories and everything in between, the message is clear. YOUTH. I feel that there is no definite theory to the Trilogy, BS&T & Spring Day(If you want to combine all of them together). Jin could be dead or the other 6 could be dead or none of them are dead and the "deaths" were just a representation of the obstacles you go through as you grow up and weren't supposed to take it literally. Since they are talking about youth afterall in their series. But hey, there is no fix theory since BigHit/Lumpen/BTS have not confirmed any. So i feel its best to let them make their own guesses and theories since that's where its interesting seeing how others look at it.
