Seeing these comments about the series is making my heart swell. Hearing your voice acting of my script is making my heart swell. Percy, I adore you. Thank you so much for covering this series of mine. I genuinely feel that I can't thank you enough. You've created such an amazing character from a small piece of writing.

I did some studying -- specifically about the median of serial killers killing patterns/length of time between kills via scientific journals, along with the difference between sociopathy and psychopathy (I needed to educate myself) and then studying more on the spectrum of psychopathy.
@@RemyDarlingwell done on the research. It makes the story more believable and immersive. And yes, I also find psychopathy weirdly fascinating.
To be good, but not so good that he gets bored. And we arent even aware of the tightrope we're on.
This may be my favorite series ever. I just can't stop listening and I can't wait for the next installment.

The way in which this new situation leaves its mark on the kidnaper too, is very interesting to watch.
Well this series keeps getting more interesting each time, i don't like how he talks about the listener death and hope she finds a way to keep him entertained.

Not related but, i wish someone make a yandere series were the listener is kidnapped by a yandere and is slowly starting to accept them. To the point they can be trusted and as a award yandere takes them to a building or like a park to interact with other willing yandere to make friends.
I've seen a few of those, personally!

Aside from the median of serial killers and how often they kill (I had to read a scientific study on it), a brief read up on quotes, and re-watching some movies about psychopaths/kidnappers/kidnap victims, I just wrote it out. Thank you!

She had been here before.
Not actually. She'd never been "kidnapped" before. And held in a cell.
But it might as well have been.
The honesty made this time easier, actually. She wasn’t a child being told one thing but feeling another. She was an adult. An adult who already knew what the rules were. Sort of.
This seemed to surprise her captor. After all she was a very outspoken and blunt person. He knew she had been abused by her father but, he didn’t seem to understand the sheer depth of instability. How could he? She didn’t quite comprehend it either. Largely because there was nothing to comprehend really. Her father was not an intelligent man. He knew how to perform in the short term with strangers. But not in the long term.
He didn’t know how to apologize.
This man knew how to perform long term. He apologized even and that, that hurt.
Words clawed in her throat she wanted. Violently. To slam her body against this cage she was in she KNEW her ego was dying. Smothered by the same cage she had been locked in before.
The old thoughts bubble up again and they are not kind. Without any valve for release...
I perform. I am shit at performing. I am angry and tired and I will die.
Its just a question of when and how you'll do it. If I'm lucky, you won’t make it hurt.
