Ginger, I LOVE this lesson! I have tried flowers like this before and now I am encouraged to try it this way. It truly is a beautiful painting and to be able to make my own version of it is pretty exciting. Thank you and Cinnamon for all the skills you are giving me to. People are actually buying my paintings. I began looking at your tutorials a few months ago and never thought I would be able to become skilled enough to have friends and family ask for my work. What fun and you two and Jane have been my private art instructors. Thank you.

My first time seeing one of your videos and I really enjoyed it. I didn't paint along but I think one day when I get some time I will have to try it. I know it's going to take me longer than it took you where you are so experienced and I'm not so much.
Beautiful. .. You make it look so easy, which we know it's not. Like how you explain everything so well. Great lesson, can only hope that mine will look half as good. Do get confused with your mixing sometimes to, but just so natural for you. Thanks for sharing. ! I
+Sherry Nesbit Mixing paint is a lot like cooking, after a while you leave all the tine measuring spoon in the drawer and put in a pinch of this or that. LOL. Thanks, glad you liked the video. Ginger. ( I have others this type of painting lesson on my website: www.gingercooklive.gallery
I am working on this one now...well the last couple of days. 6/4/17 I am really learning how to mix colors in this one. Which is very cool and glad to learn it. Thanks SO much Ginger for teaching this one. It is like I keep on having the feeling I need to do this one. It keeps calling me. lol So I will do it finally. :D Big ART Hugs to you, Jon and Sammy!
what caught my eye in this Van Gogh was the color of the vase. It was a color I had never used in any painting before, except for a few leaves on flowers and in smaller amounts. I really loved the vase color.
You are most welcome Have you seen my Van Gogh playlist as I have several of his painting tutorials? th-cam.com/play/PLXrCLGr8eRP4Zb40lbIOngGd3VdW3Q1kB.html
+chamoussette74 I am so pleased my video was interesting and fun to watch. I have gotten a lot of paintings people have done from this on my facebook page and was pleased this see how easy this is to paint.
I followed along today with oils. I have some touching up to to here and there but satisfied and really enjoyed the method. Would love to,show you once it's done. And thank you!

Every once in a while I will put on youtube an example of the fun new acrylic art lessons I offer twice a week over the internet:( see www.gingercooklive.com ) My lessons are $24 a month on a subscripton basis. Seniors and the military get a discount -monthly rate of $19. There are over 150 recorded lessons in my library that comes with the subscritpton as well as personal help and live interaction with myself and the other artists who can share what they are painting at the end of the class. For some great pictures of what I am teaching, as well as what my subscribing artists are doing, go to my pinterest page and type in gngercooklive (all one word) Its great fun
Just lovely, I just finished this painting and it came out very pleasant, as this is the first time I have used acrylic paint; it sure dries fast, maybe because I'm too slow. as I look at my painting I can see there are some adjustments it needs. Thank you.
Up this morning and watching your videos...I love the floral that you're painting. Just getting into painting and have fallen in love with anything floral. Do you have more of these?? So looking forward to more..
Sandie Miller In my on line past lesson library, I have a lot of vidoes on flowers. check out my pinterest page (gingercooklive) (all one word) and see pictures of what vidoes that are avaiabe on a subscription basis
I love your tutorials, thank you! I do find it difficult to see your brush especially when you change from one to another. When you went to a 'flower brush' you started painting and the dark bristles were against the dark background. And you move it around quickly when painting. Other than that little frustration LOVE what we can do with you showing the way!!
+Susan Mayfield the brush Iused for the flowers was a "bright brush" or one that is squared off. I use just a small corner of of it. I have a newer camera now, and I think that seeing the brush change will be easierr, but i will take note and make sure I show the brush too before I start when I change brushes. I really appreciate the feedback. Ginger. (I painted this on a 6x8) canvas, but most people when they make it again will paint it on a 16x20 so brush sizes are less important than shape as the larger the canvas the bigger the brush you would use. Ginger
I enjoyed the tutorial and had a chance to try my skills on some 5x7 art board that I had already done a background on when cleaning out my palette box. I will try and send a pic. I love my results but I can see the flowers could be taylored more..my colors are not exact but your tips and instructions were great. TY Ginger.
+pilotsmother Its ok to take time painting these. Mine was only 6x8 inches big, and I bet yours was a lot larger. The bigger the canvas the longer it takes to paint. Thanks for commenting. Ginger
A good teacher uses a minimum number of tools to teach what can be used in a more complex situation. Ginger Cook takes you through the lesson step by step showing the reason for each one . It does not an require complexity to watch for a technique for a different method.
This was fantastic Ginger! Your amazing and funny to listen too!! ... stab, stab,stab...😉 Great teacher really well explained to understand. Would love to see florals in glass vase as finding so difficult to master? Blessing from Scotland Gayleigh x
Ginger Cook Hi, when I typed gingercook92 Ginger Cook is what the search found. I sent the pictures there via the Messenger option. ..hope that works. I really want you to see it! Technology can be irritating. ....
I send you my love from the beautiful island of zakynthos today I am going to try this interesting vase. l willsend you pictures of the creation later,!!!!!! thanks again with love Christina
I watched that this morning and is my saved to do list, thank you :) I have watched this one a few times now and you are right, it runs good enough to learn from. Thank you so much, I so love the flowers! The funny thing is, I never knew that until I found your channel :)
Love this! First time I've seen your work. Only wonder about your chalk marks at about 10:00. Should I ignore my chalk marks that show? do they wash out when painting dries? thanks so much...can't wait to see more. Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your talent. Question, why not use regular framed canvas. I have never done any thing on plain paper..since i want o preserve my work, I am just a beginner
Well, that is real canvas NOT PAPER. it is called Paramount Canvas sheets 10 to a pack from Jerrys artarama. I tell people to try it small first 6x8 and figure out how to blend and mix the color then paint it larger on stretched canvas.
+TeaRoseLover I use Ruby Satin Silver brushes. I like the "Bright" ones which are squared off. #6 #8 and I like 1/4 " or 1/2 angle brushes try Simply Simmons brushes.
This is my favorite full online acrylic art lesson Ginger (my mom) has done so far. I really think this lesson is for anyone.

this one has done so well, we will probably leave as is. But we just recorded Van Goghs "ALMOND BLOSSOMS" that I think you will like.
Beautiful.
Chalk marks wash off with damp cloth when painting is DRY..... which is why chalk is so cool to use...
How pretty! What number brushes did you use?
+TeaRoseLover I use Ruby Satin Silver brushes. I like the "Bright" ones which are squared off. #6 #8 and I like 1/4 " or 1/2 angle brushes try Simply Simmons brushes.
Thank you!
