This is a specific sound that I have only touched the surface upon, and I sincerely regret not having done so before in the past... the piano at the beginning cuts through you like no other.
Don't mess about this was the TUNE the first time I heard this was in the Eclipse Cov back in the day Sasha dropped it on more than one occasion but the first time should have been picked up on the richter scale! I will never forget the look on all the people around me, it was mutual amazing times...............
I swear this tune is from 1990.....tune tells the story of 1991 in the UK dance music scene perfectly:starts off very nice and light-hearted,like the happy epic commercial sound of dance from January to July 1991;then you have the bit in the middle where something is brewing, like August 91,then the dark sound kicks in ,which reminds me of the rave/hardcore invasion of Sept to Oct 1991.
Originally this came out in the US in 1989 on several labels before the UK got hold it in 1990. Unofficially released by Soft Records in 1990, then signed by Network records in 1991.
This tune has special memories for me. This was the last tune I remember hearing in a club on a saturday night on an August night and on the following monday morning the Judge took me away to HMP.
Thanks for posting this top tune! Brings back so many memories of bug nights in Manc, Stoke, Blackpool, Coventry....but especially of the upstairs in Konspiracy in Manc...Salford's room...shady as fuck but brilliant. If my daughter went somehere like that these days, I'd be fuckin worried!
The light is gone, and the baseline replaces the light at that moment, and you feel good. And he finds that the underside, dark and gloomy, is more revealing than the upper side. That's all. This was PinUp Girls at a club in 1990!
TheBeatist oh yes. Centerfirce, fantasy, pulse FM, eruption, sunrise and many many tape recordings. Was always paging the DJs my requests..... Beep beep beep
"Definition of love" by kaos, feat Simianne ? OR "Take me away" by Final Cut,True Faith feat Bridget Grace? (a paragon promo) so both 89....the pinned up mix was 91 Network lable

@BGMRiley The Quad! What a fuckin club that was, the atmosphere in there was better than going to a football match or a gig. Them scousers knew how to party!
This track was seminal. After the slightly cheesy piano anthem intro (which we all loved as youngsters) this track is off-the-scale wicked even 30 years on.
@@the6millionliramanoh yeah, the entire thing is samples. The break, the piano, the vocal and more. It's a combination of samples and maybe a korg m1 , but that's probably a sample too. 😂
@@djpopcorn Fair play. Not that the whole thing being sampled detracts from the genius of this track tho. Patching together a track like this with pure analog equipment is a time-consuming art in itself. What about the bassline? You reckon they didn't program and loop that as original content?
@@the6millionliraman oh absolutely. I love this track! I love the samples. Have you heard the original version yet? That's where that baseline is from.
Brings a tear. We were there living it
Life was great for a few years 88-91 take me back please !

Well said mate. The scene was evolving so fast in those days. I entered the scene Oct '91, for me that was just the right mix of hard and soft.
Originally this came out in the US in 1989 on several labels before the UK got hold it in 1990. Unofficially released by Soft Records in 1990, then signed by Network records in 1991.
Then there is refugees...
You know I always wondered who the hell were the "pin up girls". there is no body singin on this but me. What the hellll?
ah well,if it was u singing at least u did the vocals on the biggest dance tune in UK house clubs in 89/90 :-)

There were other versions at the time but this was always the one that totally got everyone pumped - sooo awesome

This is used as sample in "The Prodigy - Warriors Dance". It is crazy how many 80s House songs are used as samples or remixes in new songs.
Addios posse let the warriors dance
what about that "doo doo do do." sound in this record, it's from an other track too. This record has so many samples. The Break, the piano, etc.
Doc Martin killed this in a mix tape I had back in 1992!!
