CURSE YOU BAYLE. real talk, i think summoning makes this fight worse. If he locks on to the summon, u won't get attacked but its pretty hard to hit him. I think soloing him would be a better time as u will almost always be right in front of him for easy hits.
I see players do boss fights like this, masterfully dodging attacks and utilizing openings and i am reminded that while i can get through the game, and beat the bosses, i am not good at the game XD Thanks for always being by my side, mimic tear.

Theatˋs what I thought. I have beaten all the bosses in the main game and I only have Bale and Rahdan left in the DLC but Iˋm still not a good player 😮
@@maunud9495 it ultimately comes down to gathering scadutree fragments to significantly increase you're stats. Bayle is going to be the (slightly) easier of the two. for Rahdan, I recommend tanking hits with massive stamina coupled with light resistance and the verdigris great shield (which notably resists 90% of physical damage fully upgraded) while using the antspur rapier for rot damage and imbue with blood damage on top of that to poke away at his health. other than that, patience and luck.
My advice is if you want to summon Igon, don't go straight to summon him wait for abit. The reason why there are so many bloodstrain at the gate, is because they attempt to summon Igon first. And Bayle one shot them during that time.
You did forget to mention one fire attack, he stands up relatively straight and breaths fire unto the ground directly below him, happens often if you attack the injured leg. I found rolling to the right three times worked best to avoid it but it's pretty challenging to do so
I absolutely loved this fight, the build up scaling the mountain slaying dragon after dragon like they were child’s play even fighting an elder dragon and finally when reaching the peak the storm outside is raging and igon’s promise ringing in my ears while my mimic and I entered the arena to which i immediately died.
This boss wouldn’t be so difficult if the camera wasn’t so bugged for dragons. Idk if it’s just me but ever since the ancient dragon sugondeez whatever its name was the camera is dookie.
I just spent about 3 hours collectively attempting him before beating him finally and I'll just say I really feel like it was more RNG of which moves he did as opposed to any skill of mine. Scadutree level 18. I would suggest go more damage than mitigation on talismans. I used the lightning resist one and the heaviest armour I could wear before heavy load.
Lol , I was stuck on him and checked your channel to find out if there was a guide but there was nothing but the moment I defeated it you posted the video😂
You are a beast. Beatiful display of skills. Unfortunately I got frustrated and ended up using the mimic tear...something that I was avoiding at all costs. Ended up beating him with 10 Scadetree Fragments and the summon. Felt kind of bad about it. What infuriated me the most is how much the boss runs around the arena and how many AOE he does on and around himself, making melee super frustrating, with an almost zero window for attack. Also, you can't lock on his legs for some reason. I think I tried fighting him "wrong" i didn't even try to go for the head, but that's mostly because my weapons coudn't even reach it half the tines, so I went for the stomp, legs and tail...also, I had to use a different weapon from my normal build, just to have enough damage and reach, because my spear and straight sword were not good enogh.
Them trying to replicate midir and malenia is one of the biggest fails i've ever had the displeasure of fighting, oh midir how your legacy is squandered
Whoever said use the Dragon Hunters Great katana. Is a genius, my dumbass fault for not reading the description of the weapon. The difference it makes once you learn the boss fight.
All I know is, I just read your comment and checked my inventory and found the Dragon-Hunters Great Katana. Holy shit, the Dragonwound Slash skill is a game changer against dragon bosses! Bayle went down after 2 attempts. Gotta love finding great tips in the comments! Thanks man!
I know the exact for it aswell, Just make the lock on flip as soon as you get behind the middle of his belly but make it zoom out before you get past that so you can still see bayles head
@@MayHuggeryeah I thought it was good at first but it’s too slow. I tried to counter this by only using it when I stun a boss. That worked out fine because it does good damage but the hitbox is so small it’s hard to use it if your not right next to the boss or you only hit them with the magma which does like no damage.
Greastshield with a seal, dodge fire, block physical attacks, get close to him and spam pestthread spears incantation whenever you have a window. Took me less than 10 tries. Would have been really tough without the shield though!
So I just took him down fairly easily, in big part due to this video and getting a feel for his move set. Thanks @Fextralife ! Other things: Dragon Katana +10 Summon Igon. I don't know if he really does all that much in damage but he at the very least extremely draws Bayle's agro allowing you to do other things like... Summon your mimic tear and down a health afterwards Interestingly, I never broke Bayle's stance on my own but my mimic did, and that was using Placidusax's Ruin. So that's probably a good one to equip. Also, it seemed like hitting anywhere on his body was effective. I was just spamming the weapon skill and hitting his haunches most of the time.
Such a cool fight, but I really wish he had double the health and half the damage. I'm sick of getting two-shot in heavy armor, and then once you're good at the fight it barely lasts 3 minutes
Beat him at tree level 11, it's really weird how he is supposed to be a midir fight but his head does not take extra damage so I just spent the entire fight either trying to hit his crippled leg, wing bone or chest. It was way more a dps fight than learning his move, though I did learn most and avoided his head like it was hell.

I summoned him and all he did was stand where I summoned him and talking screaming at Bayle...I was like, Igon do something... after I was killed then he started to attack Bayle....SMH!!! So I used my +10 Mimic... +25 Ice infused Zweihander... Dragon Ice... Borealis's Mist and GhostFlame Breath... Took down that Cheating Bayle.... After he beat me like 20x...LOL... This is one of the best, if not the BEST Boss Fight in all of Elden Ring!!!
I’ve been spamming my head against this boss at scadutree level 10 lmao, I just got to 11 so hopefully this is easier. Thank you for this video, I learned a lot!
Igon took this boss from being impossible to trivial for me. He was my third encounter after Relanna, and I felt like I was there too early. I never even made to phase 2 when trying solo, but when I summoned Igon, the lower aggro meant it was over in 1 attempt. Interesting that Igon didn't feel like much of a help to you, because he sure was to me.
Watching this video just to see him fight again. Beat him on my 3rd try with the dragon slaying great katana. Couldn't have done it without igon's amazing war cry
This is helpful but I was hoping you'd cover the attack where he rears up and breaths fire straight down. It comes out when you're behind or under him and is giving me some trouble.
Great tips, but no mention of the Dragon Hunter’s Great Katana? Kind of an obvious choice if you ask me. Loved the fight footage though, chef’s kiss making it look so easy.
1:20 this attack. This damn attack is the only attack in his kit I can't consistently avoid for the life of me, strictly because of a stray piece of fire diverging from it, regardless of if you're on his left or right side.
After 40 minutes i want to quit and never comeback, after 3 hours of learning, last attempt was like a dance, for my personal opinion its the best fight in soulsborne history.
The camera was my main problem with this fight. To mitigate it, I only locked on when he took flight to to plan for his aerial fire and landing attacks. Otherwise, I stuck close to him to draw out moves like his aoe breath and right wing strikes. They're easy to dodge if you know they're coming, and leave him vulnerable immediately afterwards.
I’m outside the boss door… scared lol I have a mage build I wonder how it’ll do. I really regret going into this in new game plus but I’m slowly taking out all the bosses it just takes me like 50+ tries

I don’t understand why fromsoft won’t zoom out the camera so I can actually see what’s happening with some of the larger bosses especially the dragons.
Honestly I didn’t find him that hard with Igon, would recommend summoning. My biggest issue with the fight was trying to hit him as a lot of his attacks can be avoided if you just wail on his feet but you can only target his head…
Got him in under about 8 attempts with the last attempt using the igon for the first time lmao. Used all strength build with giant crusher. With great shield, flamedrake, erdtree, and axe talismans. Used charged attacks and lion claw on his tail. I dodged pretty much all attacks expect the fire breath straight down and some flying ones. Amazing boss especially with igon and the voice! Only problem was trying to lock on to him after he flew into the air because I was not locked on while attacking.
If only I could target lock on his leg or chest like other dragons. Literally the worse part about this fight is getting the camera situated and getting hits in. Head is always too high for me to attack. I come next to the leg and attacks veer to head due to camera lock this is actually stupid....
Took me an hour and a half to beat this guy and I was only at Scadutree level 7. It made me realize that I need lots more fragments and practice before I can even hope to tackle other bosses.
Did this with a level 3 blessing and oh boy was that a good choice. I really like this fight so the fact that it took very long to beat meant I got to enjoy it more. I did die like 15 times though. Surprisingly he doesn't do that much damage, like each of his hits would be 40-60% of my max HP with 60Vig the Radahn rune and a level 3 blessing. Next time I'll fight him I'll make sure to be at a higher level of blessing to see how it will play out.
Just got to him and I have to say he might be the most badass dragon I've ever fought in any videogame and I fought a lot of them. And yes I'm summoning Igon, because that was his dying wish.
I have a little problem. After 90% of his attack my character is UNDER the dragon. Not in front of his head. I almost cannot attack because I spend too much time in order to crawl from under him😢
My advice is find the +3 fire and lightning resistance talismans and have those on; you don’t really need more than two slots for damage, especially if you’re getting one shot Also I think Jagged Peak is the best designed area in the game when it comes to enemy placement: you get three practice rounds in disguise
@@creamher yet he makes no argument for why we should use the fire talisman over the lightning one. Does he do the fire attacks more frequently? Do they hit harder and thus need more negation? Think a little before you write instead of being a smart ass 🤦♂

He is cheesable™, I used Greatshield Skeletons and Igor to keep his attention and beamed him from far away with Bolt of Gransax.
I used a different cheese to kill him no hit
I made a video to show of the build
No joke Bolt of Gransax has hard carried me through this DLC. Absolute must have imo
Honestly I didn’t find him that hard with Igon, would recommend summoning. My biggest issue with the fight was trying to hit him as a lot of his attacks can be avoided if you just wail on his feet but you can only target his head…
Doing this guy on lv 8 scadu is something else man. Fitting that he's on jagged PEAK. Love this fight.
The mere fact you beat him at Scadutree level 7 is a testament to your determination. Good job, you’re more than suited for the rest of the dlc.
If you can beat him, I don't think you will have trouble with any other boss. For me, he is the hardest.
Lol I never understood attempting late game bosses while so under leveled they take forever to kill and just so boring
Managed to beat it 2 days ago. Got owned an embarrassing amound of times but I did it.
i dont know what i did, but i killed it in the second try with igon... using the katana for dragons
Do you suggest fightning with locking his head like in the video or delock him and attack his legs or tails ?
I find it harder to lock him
I think its easier to dodge his attacks when locked on, but i've heard bonk builds do great unlocking and hitting the injured leg
I was waiting for the promises consort guide all last night xD, i was able to beat him the that night too!
I think this was my favorite fight of the DLC super cool
Did this with a level 3 blessing and oh boy was that a good choice. I really like this fight so the fact that it took very long to beat meant I got to enjoy it more. I did die like 15 times though. Surprisingly he doesn't do that much damage, like each of his hits would be 40-60% of my max HP with 60Vig the Radahn rune and a level 3 blessing. Next time I'll fight him I'll make sure to be at a higher level of blessing to see how it will play out.
"be careful of the explosions he creates on the floor"
No, I don't think I will.
“For the sweeping fire attack, you can just dodge into it” if only it was that easy😭🙏🏻
Just got to him and I have to say he might be the most badass dragon I've ever fought in any videogame and I fought a lot of them. And yes I'm summoning Igon, because that was his dying wish.
I can't even get in the fucking door
😂 I’m only at Scadutree lv 3, and having the same problem. I slogged through Jagged Peak and Bayle says “goodbye” 3 steps inside the door
Bayle at this stage is just as f-ed up as Igon, just think what he would have been like if you would fight him in his prime.
Man what a rush this legend is
I have a little problem. After 90% of his attack my character is UNDER the dragon. Not in front of his head. I almost cannot attack because I spend too much time in order to crawl from under him😢
This guy claps my cheek more than all dlc boss combined.
Just beat him, took me like 25death ,ty for the tips they rlly helped!!
It’s bold of you to assume I can get him to second phase
If you really want to destroy this boss, frost is the way to go
Joffrey: "The largest dragon ever had the head the size of a carriage."
Tywin: "Yes, and the creature to whom it belonged to died!"
Why does my map look so cloudy over this area? Yours looks so clear.
I can't hate this dragon, no matter how many times I die he's such a cool design.
I swear every boss does more attacks than these videos I watch in YT
My advice is find the +3 fire and lightning resistance talismans and have those on; you don’t really need more than two slots for damage, especially if you’re getting one shot
Also I think Jagged Peak is the best designed area in the game when it comes to enemy placement: you get three practice rounds in disguise
You say he deals lightning damage but then you recommend to use the talisman that negates fire damage?
well if u look at his attacks u can see him breathing fire as well as use lightning attacks 🤦♂
@@creamher yet he makes no argument for why we should use the fire talisman over the lightning one. Does he do the fire attacks more frequently? Do they hit harder and thus need more negation? Think a little before you write instead of being a smart ass 🤦♂
@@anton4773 most of his attacks are fire based.
Igon is there to make the fight even more epic, he's a hypeman lol
Would be nice if more than like 1/4 of my attacks connected. I really don't want to use another larval tear but might have to.
