    Dylan you have 2 great skills. You know motion in and out and most importantly you teach well. There are other great tutorials on TH-cam but sometimes they are a pain to watch because they can't speak well or a 5 minute tutorial becomes an 18 minute tutorial, they are just rambling. You use every second wisely. Thank you.

    I must be an idiot, because even with this excellent tutorial I end up with a movie file that has the logo already warping from the start of the video Motion creates. What am I doing wrong? 🙃

    Here is a Pro tip that many YourTuber don't know! You can change the display style of the particles to bump your performance.

  • @StuartHetzler
    @StuartHetzler ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Bummed you skipped the bit about having the particles form into another logo, but watching back, I think you just did the same steps with the patreon logo, reversed it, and crossfaded between them. Clever haha

    Do you have a video where you show these particles coming together into another separate image that would be awesome?
    For example, I have a channel about Astro photography. I’d like my logo to explode, and then turn into stars of a galaxy for a image I have of Andromeda or something like that.

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A way I would do that is animate both images to explode like what is found in this video. Then simply reverse the video of the second image so it looks like the particles are building the image! Place it over the top of the other footage (making sure it has an Alpha Channel) and you should be set!

    When I applied Motion Blur at the end it changed the format of my logo from clear to blurry at the very beginning. Wondering if I needed to be on a certain group when selecting motion blur or is the processing to much for my MacBook to handle to add that final touch?

    okay this is awesome but how do we reuse this? cuz that's a lot of work for a single image. is there a way to export it as a title for fcp?

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Due to how FCP works with particles from Motion, you can't set it up as a title. But you can set up your image as a drop zone inside of Motion, which makes it so you just need to open the Motion project, select a new image, then export it as a video! That's how the Patreon download on this particular project works.

    Hello Dylan, just wanted to drop my comment and say "Hola". great video sir. How close would you say Motion is to After Effects? only asking as I'm having to learn AE due to some particular 3rd party plugin which can not be found under Motion.

    • @angiecapturesmoments
      @angiecapturesmoments ปีที่แล้ว

      i'm not Dylan but wanted to help answer. Motion is more for quick, simple things and After Effects is much more big. They're similar in ways, depending what you're doing. I first learned with Motion and then moved to After Effects and I personally found following along to some simple tutorials on TH-cam made the transition a lot more easier. I wish you good luck with it! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask

    I'd love to get your feedback on trying to make this a published generator. I've been trying to do so for an hour now, and I'm getting one problem after another. I believe it's all stemming from the fact that I'm using a Drop Zone, but maybe I'm wrong. Give it a go and let us know what your conclusion is.

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately it doesn’t work as a generator for FCP! At least not a generator that can be changed. It can work as a standalone clip that stays the same, and I think you could potentially change the simulation settings. But it can’t have the graphic change, which is really annoying.
