- Jerry Jones has a phone pressed to one ear. He's also talking to Stephen Jones, who sits next to him, the head coach and a room full of scouts. Another phone is ringing and multiple TVs are on as the NFL world waits for the Cowboys to make a move. Conversations are being had simultaneously about scenarios, grades and endless possibilities. Meanwhile, the seconds are ticking down as the team prepares to make another vital decision that will affect the organization's future. This is life in the War Room. Steven Jackson? He was drafted in 2004. That was the year Dallas took Julius Jones. In 2008, Dallas could've had Chris Johnson, Matt Forte or Jamal Charles instead of Felix.

In alot of these videos you see all Dallas management and jerry Jones talking about players. Then jerry making the final decision. If you watch Bill bellichek and Robert kraft videos. You see only Bill , a few scouts and maybe a coach in the boardroom . U see kraft too. But final decision is Bill. Difference between the two organizations? Bill has more superbowls. And he a coach making that decision. Then in Dallas you got jerry and his little group making the picks and u got zero superbowls. I never believed jerry knew how to put a team together. Jimmy knew how to do it. But not jerry or anyone else in his family

This is the kind of documentary Jerry Jones loves. Documentary that highlights Jerry as the man in charge with all the brown nosers chasing Jerry around praising Jerra left and right. Film shows the better choices during drafts but they don’t show the 90% of other draft failures. Jerra didn’t set the team back to the stone age by accident.

Running Backs we could've had that were taken AFTER Felix Jones: Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, Ray Rice (Yeah, I know. On the field, he was better.), Jamaal Charles (Ouch!)
But how did you like the film, did you enjoy it?
some other running backs that were drafted after Felix Jones, and in many cases before the guys named…Reshard Mendenhall, for example. Or Kevin Smith, or Jacob Hester… It's almost as if the draft is kind of a crapshoot, and looking back with hindsight, doesn't make you some sort of insider or genius. We can all look at the Wikipedia results as well.
Only Cowboys fans look at the draft as if they have access to every single player available and if they missed out on a great player they're the only ones that did it. See the fact that people act like 17 other teams didn't pass on Randy Moss, and it was just the Cowboys at number one and then the Vikings got him at number two.
Jerry wanted Manziel, Jerry wanted Lynch, Jerry knows less about personnel than me.

@@evilsWa deep speed receiver is what the team needed. That 98 team still had Deion , Triplets but offense was stagnate because double Irvin and the passing game was stuck. That was the last window for that group, window shut right after…

@@juanel589 other teams consistently go deep in the playoffs while the cowboys cannot do better than a wildcard win every now and then. green bay goes deep all the time...pittsburg always in the hunt....the eagles have played in a ton of nfc championship the last 25 years..... yet the cowboys company is the lions and washington - who along with dallas are the only 3 teams have not played in an nfc championship in the last quarter century. You cannot win a sb if you cannot even get past winning a wildcard game

Best video I've seen about entire draft process. I've always wanted to see how it works in big D and I gotta it's pretty impressive. Jerry & Steven's draft teams and abilities are some of the best in the NFL.

@@TheSlayer71782 LMAO. The drafts are a HUGE part of why we haven't won anything in 25 years. The 2009 draft alone would have gotten any GM (that's actually held responsible) fired. Even just recently: Taco Charlton over T.J. Watt, Morris Claiborne, Jaylon Smith, Zeke at #4 (you don't draft an RB that high EVER). The Cowboys are straight up HORRIBLE in the 2nd round, too. HORRIBLE.
