what else can I say, you saw it all yourself, ha ha 😆 if you liked the duet of a guitarist and keyboard player, then you should see “once upon a nightmare” from the same concert, this is a very beautiful ballad with an intro accompanied by a guitar and piano, it’s sooooo Beautiful
In the Omega Alive concert, this song flowed immediately after KOH part 1. Coen said the reason he stood up at the upright piano is that it got so hot he had to move back. One more thing to add. Simone came out with a solo single from her upcoming album. The song is called Aeterna and it was written by and features Arjen from Ayreon.
And yet again, the perfect ends of the spectrum. While Nightwish plays the Greatest Show on Earth, Epica erects a Kingdom in the Heavens. It just all comes so beautifully together hahahahaha
Although they don't have a more ,,epic'' song, they have a lot more to offer. My favourite song of all time is Tides of Time, a beautiful ballad. Sadly, they don't have a good live from concert video, although there is a fan made one. I would suggest: - Once upon a Nightmare (Omega alive) - A beautiful ballad with an intro that will be right up your alley. - Dancing in a Hurricane (Live at Zenith) - A swift and dancy song with an amazing chorus - Cry for the Moon (video from a studio) - One of their first songs, with amazing message and it shows how good they were right from the beginning - In all Conscience (Omega alive) - A heavier song, but I'd say still a ballad with incredible performance from Simone Or... you know... if you're up to it. How about a whole concert? They recently released a full Omega Alive concert video on their channel. Perfect opportunity. Maybe do it as a live stream and then post the VOD? I enjoy your reactions a lot and I look forward to more EPICA content. Take care. 🙂
Haha I really love your reaction! This is what Epica does to you; when you think they can't do any better than they already do, they'll easily blow you away again! They never disappoint imo. This shows once again why Epica is my #1 favorite band since 2005.
This probably represents the yardstick for EPIC, but there is still so much more amazing music in their locker. For more from this concert maybe try ‘Once upon a Nightmare’ or for a different slant with a an out and out ballad ‘ Rivers’ ft Apocalyptica
I’m aware that most (?) Epicans would prefer songs like KOH pt 1, 2 and 3 and ‘similar songs’, because that’s the Epica sound. But the song ‘Rivers’, especially the version with Apocalyptica is absolute perfection to me. The song itself is perfect, the video is perfect, the sound is perfect and Simone was soooo extremely good during that performance, she’s mind blowing. Bold claim, but to me that concert is for Epica what Wacken 2013 is for Nightwish (in terms of pure perfection on every level). 🧡
@@mariodriessen9740 With the exception that Nightwish Wacken was live. Epica's Omega Alive was heavily post-produced. I doubt that Simone really sounded like that.
@@nikosv95 : I’m sorry, apparently I wasn’t clear enough. I meant the Live at the AFAS Live concert. The concert where Apocalyptica played along with the song ‘Rivers’. That’s the concert I was talking about.
This is definitely top tier. But Epica has more pieces in this caliber. Check this out - Epica - The Holographic Principle - A Profound Understanding of Reality
Told you this song is awesome. 🤣. "Is that it?" Yeah , only an epic 13 1/2 minute song, coulda been longer😁😁😂 . The portable keyboard is a REVO-1 Curveboard, made by Nu-Motion in Montreal Canada. Coen has taken it crowd surfing too, including at the 2022 20th anniversary show. This is one of the new Omega album songs here in 2021. Mark wrote the song, Isaac co-wrote the music with him. When you come back to EPICA, check out a more recent performance, try "Code of Life" live in Amsterdam 2023, at AFAS Live. More portable keyboard too. lol
@@frank1963 Hi Frank. Yo do the same. Got goodies in the mail today, the DVD of the Ayreon concert from last fall, signed by Arjen. And the Plan Nine CD, signed by Arjen and Robert. Wooohooo!! 🤘🤘
Some Tommy Johansson would be great! He recently left Sabaton, on good terms, to pursue his own stuff. He has a great cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High, on his TH-cam channel. 😁

I agree ☝️
Totally. The entire song is just spine tingling.

Simone Simons - Aeterna is amazing. That song is stuck in my brain right now 😁.
You really know how to make people die of anticipation……..4 days man……
The best thing about living under a rock, is discovering there is more to life than that rock.
Emphatically, truth brother
I love how Simone is an Angel come to Earth, that enjoys a bitchin' primal beat.
And yet again, the perfect ends of the spectrum.

I waited for this reaction and it was worth it. Thank you.
Great reaction, GP "That riff!" 42!
Looks like every one wants Once upon a nightmare (omega alive). And thats a great suggestion 😃.

Once upon a Nightmare will have him reaching for a guitar after the intro lol :D

My favourite band ever:)
Once upon a nightmare omega alive, from them is also Amazing, also with piano, guitar intro
¡Amé tú reacción! ❤
If Epica was from the USA Ariën van Weesenbeek would be in the top 5 list of best rock drummers every year in every music magazine. 🤘🏼

please react to once upon a time a nightmare ❤❤❤❤
Once upon a Nightmare from Omega Alive:)
yes absolutely. that intro is phenomenal
See, we all told you so. Really, would we all lie to you?...Lol Brilliant does do it justice does it?
Both songs are amazing but I still like part 1 more
i think part 1 or 2 took Mark 4.5 years to compose. That's dedication if anything
Us Dutchies love our potatoes.
so when ya do sabaton lady of the dark animated story video tell me she doesnt look like Floor during song
banger pt 3
sensorium is my fav song

she could play Scarlet Witch perfectly imho:)
