      It does sound funny, but I don't think the use of gmail actually matters in these cases, at least compared to any other email system. Any email provider can see the content of your emails and by the very nature of email it isn't possible to stop them or any way for a provider to demonstrate that they aren't reading and logging all your emails or even actively cooperating with the feds. Using some paid email service with privacy-oriented marketing wouldn't change that.

      So yes, while the word did exist before Google, there is nothing wrong with how my brain is working. But thanks for the concern.

    • @noth606
      @noth606 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AleksandarBell No, nothing about it was to delete your data. What it is meant to do is keep your identity hidden from the page you're on, by disallowing the page access to tracking and session cookies etc. When you make a page, you can code it to look for specific kinds of cookies and then use the API of certain websites to get more info on the user accessing your page by querying info from the API.
      For example if you are on an online shopping site looking for vacuum cleaners, it will store an identifying GUID number in a cookie, a session id, if you then go to my page, my site can run code in your browser to pick up that you have a session cookie for a shopping site, which I can query and get back that you're looking for vacuum cleaners. I can then query my advertiser database for ad providers selling vacuum cleaners and set those ads to display in your browser as the in-page ad instead of ads for something else.
      Similar things of different types are used across the web, and incognito is specifically to stop that. Mostly because by correlating data from multiple sites a lot of info can be gained to target ads better. Obviously the information can be used for more nefarious things too, but it in essence allows your website to know a lot more info about who is watching your site, like age, sex, location, socioeconomic status, has kids or not, age of kids, even not just if but where you like to go on vacation, what brand of toothpaste or whatever you use, in order to tailor ads displayed and maximize conversion rate. Conversion in this context being do you or not click the ad. Click = money.

      The real reason they go after these online drug markets is because the cia controls the drug market and they do not like competition, Pablo got killed because he would not bend the knee, El Chapo worked for them until he also decided he could do whatever he wanted and then was "caught".
      The Clintons also smuggled drugs into the US back in the day. Mostly they are into child trafficking these days which is way more profitable.

      First, the captchas on DNMs are a LOT more difficult, usually you just have to type out a text in an image, but the image is extremely fragmented and sometimes LITERALLY unreadable so you have to generate a new one.
      Additionally, loading times on onion sites are super slow, it already takes up to 5 minutes to load a single page, making one mistake with these captchas can cost you 5 minutes.
      With this in mind, you have to imagine that there's a captcha when just visiting a site, another when u register and up to 3! Captchas for logging in. 1 captcha under the password field, one captcha when you press login and sometimes a 3rd captcha for phishing check.

    Great video, but I think you got one thing wrong: Russian marketplaces usually don't compete with international marketplaces and vice versa, because of some very noticable differences in how they operate. All deliveries in Russia are done as dead drops, i.e. the seller hides them in a stash and sends the buyer coordinates and instructions on how to find their purchase. Russian marketplaces also try to make their services as convenient to use as possible, most even allow purchases with credit cards. International markets don't really have restrictions on delivery tipes, but using the mail is pretty common, which is never used in Russia. As you mentioned in the video, international markets are very strict about what cryptos you can use and definitely don't take cards. Also, international law enforcement agencies don't care too much about Russian marketplaces because Russia doesn't like cooperating with other countries. One of the main reasons hydra got shut down was because they started selling European and American documents etc.
    All of this makes Russian marketplaces not go international because of the added risks associated with evading international law enforcement agencies, while international markets don't want to expand into Russia because of the added complications of dead drops, credit card payments and other QoL features.
