Love the description of your new primary doctor! For the past three years, i've seen a wonderful rheumatologist twice yearly which will soon decrease to once yearly. He has functioned as my "primary" doctor, treating me for things outside of rheumatology.
Most folks my age are retired, but I don't want to retire because I know that I will turn into the cat sleeping beside me right now and lazy away.
    Blessings!

Margaret, when it comes to doctors I feel the same way you do. It’s nice knowing I’m not the only one. I’m 67 and I have not had a colonoscopy and I will never unless it is completely necessary. I could go on and on but then I would need my own channel. Haha! I just love your videos. Watching you is like being with a girlfriend and you make my day♥️

Years ago we just used to tell argumentative people to just "buzz off"...! That's what I thought of when you talked about the judgmental commenter.😁. Also, I am 74 and I knew when it was time to retire from teaching at nearly 73 years of age. We definitely know when it's time and, although I miss teaching children and just being around children (they made me laugh every day with some of the things they said and did), I knew it was time to retire.😊

Margaret, have been under the weather and took off today. Glad I watched you. Seriously we are related. You are right. Listen to that inner voice. It's there for a reason. You are the Best!

Listen to that little voice! Retire, retire! Don't sell, don't move. Getting used to new people, places and things is a drag unless you have to. I'm so lucky to have a home and a little money in the bank. Count your blessings
We agree 100% on dying. We all go eventually and putting myself through the medical wringer is out of the question.
I have often wondered if there is something better after this then why aren't people more eager to go? If everyone you know will be there eventually, why fight it?
Well our thoughts are very similar, Margaret. When I express myself to people, they look at me like I'm ready for a rubber room. That's okay though. If things weren't passed down and old ideas drilled into children at an early age, more people would break free from brainwashing, which it is.
    - Puts away her soapbox. -
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you don't agree with mine, I don't care. 💕💕💕

Margaret, you’re the only other person I know who feels the same way I do about doctors and my healthcare. I don’t do testings and I believe that my body can and does repair itself when things get out of balance. I’m also not afraid of dying and when feel that it will happen at the right time … whenever that is. Kudos to you for not worrying about your retirement either, everything is going to work out just fine.

Oh, and one other thing my doctor when I see her says I’m at the age now where I am overdue for a colonoscopy. Well, I will never go for a colonoscopy unless it is absolutely necessary out of the question.

Hey Margaret I'm looking for a doctor like you described. My primary is retiring after 37 years and at 78 I feel like you. Don't look for something. I now have to find someone because I take meds and am scared to death. I have been binge watching your videos and you are keeping me in hysterics. I'm so glad I found you.

  • @Staronqueen

Years ago I have decided and have communicated to the doctors… no more mammograms, no more pap-smears and never a colonoscopy. If something is wrong with me and I am not feeling any pain, my quality of living is comfortable; then don’t go looking to find something.

I've said it before, but to repeat, you are a such a nice person, thinking of the people who work for your business. I am so sorry that you're in the situation you are. Like you, I knew that I had to stop working if I wanted to keep living! I didn't have to leave and in fact was asked to stay, and was earning well, but wasn't swayed and I have never regretted it. So much more to say from this video but I'll leave space for others!

I'm turning 70 next month and I hear you about the fear of the medical profession. I have a yearly physical. I have a yearly mammogram and see the cardiologist for a yearly echocardiogram. Both are just routine due to family history. My doctor is amazed at my health and I take no meds. I dropped 40 lbs by changing to a whole food plant based diet. We all have to live our lives the best way we can. I didn't want to face my elder years with the major health problems my folks suffered so I avoid the doctor by doing self care.

I’m the same as you! I have no financial retirement, and I don’t go to the doctors unless I’m sick. I told my doctor that the first time I met him 25 years ago. By the way, there’s a mark on the wall just above your head. I kept wiping my screen.😂 Be gone bullies!! We love Margaret just the way she is!! 💕 I loved the “recrap” ! 😂

lol. I forgot that the “mark on the wall” would show….that will drive me crazy now! It’s actually a small hole where a clip was screwed into the wall to hold tie back curtains (probably in the 80’s.) wow!

As I've been told, grief is for the living, it's sad to those who lose the soul, but we should be celebrating the time we did have with them and being happy that they are free of the physical form to move onto whatever is next.

Great job Margaret! You have plenty of time to find someone for training. I wish that I could find a primary doctor like you have. She sounds great and respectful. I’m worried about you cleaning up that toxic mess. Did you call your home insurance company? They might not give you money for the sump pump but they’ll give you plenty of money for the damage that it caused and money for the cleanup. Let me know how you make out. I rather you have professionals clean that up for you.

Another entertaining video - good for you for telling the nay-sayers to 'step off'. What's right for one person might not be right for another. How are you hurting anyone for having your own opinions on how to take care of YOUR body?? Like you, I am not afraid of death...true--I don't want to go anytime soon, but when it's my time, it's my time. Sorry to hear about your plumbing issues. As for your tea preparations...this might just be me, but if someone makes me a sandwich - it tastes better than if I were to have made it myself. Why wouldn't it be true for tea? I had mentioned this to you earlier, but watching you drink tea has made me start drinking tea myself. I figure it's better for me than all the soft drinks I tend to drink. Instead of grabbing a soda, I make myself a cup of tea and I am loving it!! Thanks, Margaret! I would love to see your channel have 100,000 subscribers and beyond!! I tell everyone about you...us older chicks gotta stick together!!
