I believe, at the time, there was nothing in the Geneva Convention prohibiting shooting pilots in parachutes. In 1940, the RAF's Dowding made a statement that pilots bailing out over their own territory were legitimate targets.

A-8s or -7s.. i know that jg/26 had a great deal of A7s in May...just wondering
They were using A-8s in August. Almost all with four cannons according to Kruse although he got the only one in his staffel with two.
