Glad to have grown up on the outskirts of Geelong, it's a great place not enough people from around the state are actually aware of.. great food and things to look at.
Vtwindad, I hadn’t ventured to Geelong much over the last few years. It is certainly coming along, the waterside area is magnificent and yes even posh restaurants are springing up. There is definitely a lot happening down there, and heads up we will be down that way a lot more often soon.
Boys I remember years ago Victoria had the best road up here north of Newcastle it has it nice spots but the holes return I thought it was road maintenance now it called patch work go on.
It’s a disgrace the way our infrastructure has been allowed to crumble in such a short period of time. Covid and the rains are simply catalysts for the issue, but Govt mismanagement of priorities is the reason everything is collapsed. We shall keep fighting the good fight, but it’s a slow process.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... The main roads from Geelong out to western Victoria have been forgotten by the state government... It's a national disgrace how bad they are, and how long they have stayed that way
As I said, if they can patch the ones I reported in less than a week they ain’t short staffed, reality is they are short of funds thanks to a Govt that has plunged this State into a state of almost bankruptcy 😡
