I was disappointed with Skar King. Kong beats him in their first fight and only lost cause of Shimu 2v1 and I knew Godzilla could solo Shimu so I never felt a real threat to our heroes.
(SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't seen the movie yet!) I find Skar King to be one of the most interesting villains in a Godzilla movie because he is a vicious and tyrannical warlord with his own army and a ginormous war beast. But it's no secret that the movie is way too short and I think Skar King really suffered because of that, because I'm sure if the movie had been at least 30 minutes longer then they could have used this time to flesh Skar King more out as a threat. Most of that happened within the Hollow Earth and the final battle in Rio de Janeiro was way too short. I think that it would have been better if Godzilla and Kong didn't fall into the portal together with Skar King and Shimo. Maybe they could have done this instead: Skar King and Shimo fall into the portal while Godzilla and Kong stay behind and still have to fight Skar King's army alongside Mothra. Maybe this could be another more desperate zero gravity fight scene, because Godzilla and Kong need to be quick to catch up to Skar King and Shimo. At the end they both fall into the same portal that leads to Rio. Meanwhile Skar King makes Shimo freeze all of Rio and create a gigantic snow storm which is spreading around the globe very quickly and causing blizzards everywhere. So when Godzilla and Kong arrive in Rio, a large part of the city is frozen and/or destroyed and the snow storm is blocking out the sun. After that I just would stretch out the fight to be like 5 or 10 minutes longer, so it is more urgent for Godzilla and Kong to stop Skar King. After Suko shatters the crystal with Kong's axe I wouldn't have killed off Skar King immediately. I would have kept the fight going for a few more minutes and maybe would have left Shimo like dazed out for a bit because she has to realize that she is free from Skar King's control, and while that is happening I would have maybe let Skar King take Suko hostage and still be proven a difficult threat to Godzilla and Kong and maybe even threatening to kill Suko. Godzilla might then distract Skar King long enough for Kong to free Suko and they then would do the playing baseball with Skar King thing while Shimo is coming to herself again, realizing she's free from Skar King's control, then freezing him and Kong shattering his frozen body. With the snow storm being another global threat and something like a ticking time bomb it would also be a more victorious moment when Godzilla blasts his atomic breath into the sky, ending the snow storm and saving the world from going into a new ice age. That's how I would have done the final act of GxK 💁🏻 (I still loved the movie but it was just way too short)
Well from what we know Destroyah or Space Godzilla are the only two titans that could possibly pose a threat to Godzilla which is why he could be resting up and getting stronger but if anything it would make sense if the next villian was destroyah given he is created by the effects of the oxygen destroyer. Which was used against Godzilla when he fought Ghidorah.
