I never got lessons on piano but I got a keyboard from my husband for my birthday, and these videos are the best thing ever. I know 5-6 songs just off the top of my head thanks to bite size piano. I’ve always been a visual learner but as of recent I’ve been cracking down or recognizing chords. Thank you for what you do.

You are the best! Can you please explain how the middle 8 works with the lyrics and those 7 chords you listed. It seems like there is an extra chord in there when I compare it to the actual song. Thank you for all your help!

I stopped reading music a long time ago, so I’m sure I’m wrong, but when you get to “when the sun goes down” it tonally sounds incorrect, especially compared to the song. I think that lyric ends on a higher chord, not the same chord you hit when you sing “sun”. I think that part should be double checked.
Hey! Thank you for your comment/critique. I realised this not long after I uploaded it - my fault for trying to figure the song out by ear on crappy speakers (my ear is usually pretty accurate)! Have already amended it in the description (the first chord is an F major). Continuously learning what to do and what not to do as develop/improve my presently small channel. Very much a learning curve, but enjoying the process :)
Hey! You could play full chords in the RH (triad with octave), and try breaking up the chords so they sound more melodic. Playing lower octaves with the 5th in the middle in the LH. The bigger pitch range you use, it creates 'space' and depth in the sound. Hope this helps! :)
