Our vitamix is about 13 years old as well and we just bought a new carafe from Amazon. I think it was like $80. The newer ones definitely aren’t as sturdy as the older one but it’s still better than buying a whole new blender when the base still works great. We used to take the blade apart and put it all in the dishwasher and apparently you’re not supposed to ever take it apart and do that. Lesson learned.
I love your mentality regarding the sizing up for your pants. Too often we make ourselves feel bad about gaining weight or muscle and needing a new size. It’s refreshing to hear someone say “I’m just going to size up” simple! Love it

As a child I didn’t like history and while it’s still not my favorite I do find parts of it more interesting as I am homeschooling my own kids!

Yes! Learning history puts so much into perspective! I think I had to grow up to truly appreciate it 😊
I love homeschooling my kids together. My question, since you mentioned your daughter being away, how does that work? Do you go back over the lessons with her? I find myself "waiting" till everyone is around but sometimes that puts us behind if kids are sick or "life happens".
We did our school days as normal, and now this weekend my boys are away, so Charity is catching up on what she missed, mostly doing it all independently.
But I know what you mean, it’s tricky to know what to do when one child is sick or misses a day. This time it worked out perfectly.
