No. He already was a bad person, who "destroys things". But than he met a girl and fall in love with her. He helped her and when she saw the truth about him (being a bad/destructive person), she left him.
I don't disagree with either of you, but how do we actually know which one is it? Because right now I would lean more towards the first theory just because the girl was "like minded and shared pain" meaning she knew what she was getting into. Plus, the part at the end seems like it's trying to justify the ridicoulous behaviour we know from the lyrics rather than her realising all of a sudden that he is a demon for no reason and don't ask me why she couldn't catch that while she was blind. Well maybe I disagree with the second one.

When you are hurt, you generally want to break things, and some guys will even try or even secceed at commiting suicide because of a women breaking up with them.

I also said that it wouldn't make sense for the girl to leave him after she regained sight because you would see a person down bad even when you are blind. But yeah, it would be nice to get the other person to respond now, so we can enhance the understanding of their point of view.
sorry that i am a nerd but Covid -19 just wants to replicate itself wich it does by overtaking human cells to replicate itself wich imune cells will notice and try to kill the cells wich is dangerous because many of them will get effected and get confused and they will sent many more imune cells then needed and not know wich cells are good wich one are bad and they are the ones who cause trouble because they kill many infected/healthy cells before and weaken the imune system but in most cases they are getting defeated and in almost evry case covid 19 but sometimes break trough a barrier in the alveoli wich then are to weak to bacteria attacks wich is often why people die But when you are talking about sport events, or your school grade I would agree
