This is great and exactly what I have picked up over the years and teach. Glad to hear you mention the first move steal vs a lefty but realized it is a delayed steal video. One of the best parts about this is that I can share with players and coaches but won't have to change any wording or form.
Great tips about base running! Would love to hear more about sliding into second and getting up for third. And then reading your 3rd base coach if / when the ball is thrown into the outfield!
Hey coach, I'm a big fan from Brazil and I would like to subtitle your videos to portuguese, so that I can send to my teammates who don't speak english.
In our division our players aren’t able to lead off yet. We have been teaching them to shuffle off as soon as the ball is released and they are only stealing on a passed ball. How could we utilize this secondary shuffle and no lead offs? We need to be quicker!
Coaching my sons team at the lower level. We used delayed steal but we used it as , going off the catchers arm. Relax get your lead and the catcher catches, just hold still and as he goes to throw it back to pitcher .... as his arm get ready to pull back. Go!... the ball usually is arched to the pitcher and by the time pitcher receives the ball its too late to try and throw to second... Works amazing at stealing home too .... go off the catchers arm.... sometimes if the pitcher returns to the mound with head down take the base too! Both ways work wonders ... usually if u go off catchers arm he's out of position anyways at home plate to catch and tag . Just go off catchers arm too many things have to libe up just to get the runner out. It's a easy given
We do the same at third with the smoke and mirrors... trying to force a throw after the pitch from the catcher. I coach the 3rd baseline and if I yell back they know to go, and go they retreat back to 3rd. The catcher usually throws down when he hears back. I love any aggressiveness that keeps the pitcher out of rhythm.
You can victimize 1 knee catchers with this, I love em, we teach all our kids to be 1 knee catchers? Makes zero sense, but whatever, otherwise decent video.

It seems like once you do the shuffles you must go to second, right? Otherwise the catcher will pick you off at first?
Would love to see this in action!

When the catcher's knees break
First one there
Delyaed steals work slot when your winning by a good margin because middle infielders will forget to cover
