Thanks Kurt, I'm almost scared to swing it for real haha and yeah, those handles should do well. They feel good in the hand and the swells have enough meat to them for me to customize if I need to later

I will, it actually feels pretty nice swinging a a little into some scrap logs. I just got some more wood to chop and saw. It's all oak, but I suspect the ML will handle it just fine at 20 deg bevel.

I believe 3/16" spring temper roll pin is generally used.
