Epic, She’s had a good life.🤣😂Before she goes up the mast. She did not look happy about doing that one tiny bit. You have a brave and awesome lady. Wonderful couple and love your kitty’s. Fair winds and following seas 😸🐱
Guys, we are honestly so proud of you both. We found your channel through these Atlantic Crossing videos, we watched the first two and decided that we would start from the beginning. We've watched all the way to this video and it's been so inspiring! We moved aboard our 30ft boat 2 months ago after spending a year fixing her up, neither of us has ever sailed before but we have been making our way along the south coast of England for the past few weeks, two days ago we had our toughest day yet with strong gusts and swell, everything went wrong! We lost our steering for a while, one of our shrouds came undone and a bunch of other stuff and we almost quit. But we now know from your videos that this is just a bump in the road. Thanks for this inspiration ❤🌞🌈🐬⛵🏅
Hey guys, ohh this is such a nice message to read, so special 🥰 thankyou!! And congratulations on taking the leap, it’s not easy but the experiences you’ll get to have will be worth it 😄 oh wow that does not sound fun or ideal and when you’re in those situations it’s easy to want to give it all up forever 😅 but usually that feeling doesn’t last too long. What’s your plans for your sailing? Will you make your way to the med? ☺️
@@LeadingtheEscapade We were hoping to get to the med this winter but we're worried about Schengen and how to navigate the 90 day rule but were stuck at the moment as our autopilot isn't working and it's looking like we need to install a new one 💸💸💸
Hi guys it's so great to hear Aussie accents, Janaye not to many men would climb a mast in those conditions. Gusty lady..What a way to live your life..
Wow what an accomplishment a big well done from us in Aktio boatyard. Hey Janaye I bet you're so glad you didn't sell the Bluetti to me now. Great times ahead for you guys after all the repairs are done that is. the mast climb was awesome Love you guys Paul & Ang
My wife and I have a plan to sail across the world starting in a few years. To watch your channel and the truth of it that it’s not always sunshine and rainbows is absolutely amazing!! Well done and congratulations on a safe crossing!! Fair winds and following seas!

Wow, you go girl. Fare out, my misses would walk the plank before going up the mast. That was impressive. The trust you clearly have in each other is refreshing to see. Congratulations on completing your crossing, well done keep up the good work. I look forward to what's coming next. SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
I am so delighted for you both - huge huge congratulations on a safe (albeit eventful) passage... Now rest and enjoy the wonders of what you have achieved.
Congratulations on your Atlantic crossing! That wasn't a piece of cake! Now new goals and impressions are waiting for you in the Caribbean! Marcello 💛💛🍀🍀💪🏻💪🏻
😀😀👍👍❤❤ Thank you all four! The crossing was "Epic" indeed! The little ones are also happy to be at anchor in Barbados! Time to relax and have some fun. Bye for now from Seattle, WA. (Northwest USA)
Experiences like this will be character building..for the rest of your lives!..when putting things into perspective..two greenhorn Aussies have faced one of the most dangerous crossings & came up smelling of roses..having watched since your first post..you’ve made this old Aussie bloke proud!!..Congratulations 🇦🇺
Janaye Congratulations to both of you! What an incredible accomplishment. I, like you, was a bundle of nerves watching you go up that mast. And one thing after another going wrong. But you did it. You guys did it and you stuck together. Which was even more impressive. Enjoy your time in Barbados, which I’m sure is probably done by now anyway I just wanted to say congratulations 🎉 love you both LIZ from California🪷🐬
Congratulations you two you accomplished something really big in your lives you should be proud of yourselves as an Old Navy sailor myself my hats off to you guys and I have applaud e d your accomplishment 🤨👏👍
Another good video, love the editing! When you look back, you see how much the two of you have grown as sailors. True sailing stories to tell you family. Your video captured the feeling of seeing land after 15 days, as my wife and I experienced the same crossing, as you two. “Epic”, definitely, “seemed like yesterday”, from Jason, was on point too!! Hope to meet you guys in Grenada, Cheers!
Absolutely delighted to see you two have made that epic journey safely, well deserved and well done for keeping us entertained and engaged with how you both are doing, lets look forward to your future adventures! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations you two superstars! That’s no easy task on the mainsail in open water- real pros no after crossing the big A. Good on ya and God bless!
Congrats! Glad the last few days were a bit less chaotic than the first 2/3 or your passage, allow you to arrive in Barbados in a better frame of mind, more excited than exhausted... Now it's time to really decompress, hope you are having a blast! I don't think I can qualify as a "regular" yet, but this is my 3rd video in a row now and I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what you 2 get up to in Barbados, so I'm taking your advice and working on it... lol
Omg I'm so glad to see you guys made it safely! I cried happy tears of joy😅 What an amazing achievement 👏 🙌 And a pleasure to follow your journey, thank you for taking us along for the ride!
Congratulations. You made it. Atlantic crossing. We love sharing your adventures. Rarely in life jackets, no safety lines, especially when retrieving a headsail from a rolly ocean. Lucky. Glad you made it. Keep the content coming....it's exciting. (Wayne)
Well done......get that noat on the hard and go over everything....I heard you mention rigging...get that checked throughly....Im sure you're doing it anyway..bit easy to gloss over after the event....Id be looking st self steering gear...hard I know on those production boats.....
Thank you for showing the hardships too. Far too many channels show just the great stuff, and maybe talk about a rough patch. You showed the rough patches, and they are so important to see. Glad you made it! Looking forward to watching your journey.
I'm sure you will have addressed it but change out the head sail shackle for one with a hole in the pin to attach wire mousing. Indeed, any shackle above deck or in a critical application should use this method.
Two kids left Australia 2 years ago, and a very nice couple of adults arrived now in Barbados, it has obviously been the journey of your life. Enjoy what you have seen and lived but especially what nice people and couple you are now !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I am impressed that you left the dinghy on the davits rather than tie it to the foredeck. I have always said I would tie the dinghy down on the foredeck for any serious passage because once things start going wrong with a davited dinghy in horrible weather, there is very little one can do with all the forces in a bad situation. It might mean cutting lines and watching her disappear. But then I found myself on 19 hours of miserable weather Monday in a crossing, bouncing around like never before, needing two hands to stand behind the console and my dinghy was strapped to the davits. Thats' the difference between watching it and doing it. Nice work to both of you! Congratulations and thanks for the videos and helping to show the way.
Hey David. Yeah after a bit of testing both methods we found for us personally the dinghy is better strapped on the davits rather than the foredeck as it takes up too much space on thr foredeck on our boat and is probably actually dangerous when needing to walk up there to do anything with the sails. It also got damaged from the headsail sheet rubbing along the rubber sadly. But we made sure on big passages we bring it up high and use extra straps to hold it in place and from moving ☺️ thanks so much! Cheers 🫶🏼
Congratulations guys ! It’s been the best channel you guys are great to watch and you are an amazing couple ! The yacht is beautiful.. bring on more vids 🎉
So proud of you guys, such a lot has happened since Thailand, you have gone so far. Janaye you have joined the mast high club for climbing mid ocean. Not many people would be game to do that. Enjoy the Caribbean and be proud of what you achieved with all the challenges you faced.
That was insane seeing that sail in the water.
