- What's up everybody! In today's video, I wanted to showcase what it would look like to pack for basic training in the Canadian Armed Forces. I've never seen anyone pack so many electronics or an EDC kit for that matter.. .. is that a new thing? I've just enrolled and I'm currently waiting on medical.
Haha 😂 I definitely packed more than someone going to basic would actually need.

are u allowed to bring more than whats required to training?
From what I’ve been told by people that have gone through basic, you can, but it’s smartest to stick to the list for the most part.
im pretty sure you cannot bring a knife to basic training . they gonna take it .
From what I’ve heard, that’s correct, but I’ve also heard that later on, you can request it back after the first couple weeks.

Do you have any tips for CFAT? Mines next week and I'm nervous for the math portion? Any tips of equations i should know? I've heard i should know my long devision but anything else?
For sure! I would suggest that you look up some CFAT practice tests online and work on those, because the math is done without a calculator, which can be tough, but it’s relatively simple stuff.
Practice mental math and practice not overwhelming yourself

I leave for BMQ on august 10th! I’ve gotten everything for the Civilian kit list expect both pairs of shoes (non marking soles and dress) can you recommend any place to buy those? Also link for the backpack? As I still need that aswell. I was also told to bring meds like cold medicine, cough medicine, A535, Tylenol and all that. Will that be taken away when I arrive or am I fine to bring that stuff?
I bought my dress shoes on Amazon, so I would start there for both pairs of shoes 🙏🏻
