Aww, poor Robin, a broken rib is no fun, been there myself. Beautiful riding up until the fall, certainly not her fault, looks like she would have stuck it if the stirrup hadn't come off. And what a graceful fall! I usually have arms/legs flinging while grunting all the way to the ground. Your mom has a few years on me but we're close in age. Believe me age doesn't affect some riders in the least, & a person in their 60s still has many good years ahead of them in riding. At 75 my dad could still ride any horse, including mounting bareback with only 1 hop to get up on the horse. (I still can't do that😭😂). Bless Robin, loved seeing her ride. Also love your comment that those critisizing will have to pay £1 to charity, (good one!😄)
Cary Ulmer I’ve only seen Robin fall 2/3 times over the years and it’s always a graceful slip almost onto her feet; I’m definitely more of a strange noises while landing in a heap kind of person! She’ll definitely be riding for years to come, pending no injuries, because she knows I won’t let her stop even if she want to! I’m sending her for weekly hacks (mad gallops included) the moment she decides jumping is too much, which certainly won’t be for a while yet. My very loose long term plan is to eventually get some kind of mother/daughter share, so then she’ll have no excuse to give up, not that she currently has any plans to. Thank you for your comment :-)

I just wanted to say that I have been watching your videos for some time (first time commenting) and I love them all. I haven’t ridden for about 10 years now and was always a nervous rider. I’m currently too chunky to go back at the minute 🙈 but your videos are keeping me inspired and motivated to try and lose the weight so I can get back in the saddle. Please keep making videos. I watch you a lot and I’ve noticed that you always put a fall or whenever you mess up on your videos whenever you fall or mess up you never cut it out it just shows that you always show that you aren’t always perfect that’s what I love about you❤️❤️❤️
Nice video but not good for robin getting injured. Hope she's well soon. Hope zee was alright as well. When I fell off a pony called Robbie last year I got back on after but it's when he spooked at something and cantered that I lost my balance and completely hit the deck. Again hope she's well soon.
my best friend fell off her horse 2 days ago and felt really bad and dizzy but luckily she's okay! it's really bad luck for Robin but i hope she'll get better soon!💞
Your moms super brave. Hope she feels better soon. Ribs are tricky my dad has had bruised his ribs before and they can’t do much besides give your medicine for the pain.
Horselover 2015 It’s very frustrating! At least the painkillers allow her to breath properly though - ribs are the one set of bones that you really can’t stop moving!

Your mum is my inspiration. I haven't been riding for a while now because work is getting so busy and I'm constantly tired. I actually work for EE so if you're on the network theres a chance we may speak sometime without ever even knowing it 😄😄 but on every day off I always feel sluggish and just want to rest. I wish I could get out of this mindset. Does work get tiring for you guys? If so what do you do to get yourself out of the sluggish rut? I like my job but its just long hours.
StarPlayer Robin is retired, but I feel ya... I work a 40 - 44 hour week (depending how busy we are) at a startup company of 12 people doing their best to panic-survive in a very stressful, constantly changing tech industry. Plus there’s the additional hours I put aside to make videos and ‘manage’ my social media (probably another 4 - 8 hours a week minimum, depending on my schedule). In the busier weeks I find it hard to find the time to do anything else, and having my own horse or even just one on loan would 100% not be feasible at the moment due to lack of time and money (just bought a house, spare cash doesn’t exist atm), but I always have a riding lesson at the same time every single weekend - it’s part of the routine and it forces me to go and give myself that time to relax and enjoy horses, which is something that always makes me feel better and gives me a bit of a recharge! I can’t remember the last time I slept in past 8am because ya girl’s got things to do, plus late nights trying to fit in everything I want to do means the tiredness is real, but making time for yourself is SO important! Burnout is very real and whenever I start feeling a bit too stressed/tired I always step away from anything that doesn’t require my immediate attention and take some time to look after myself/ socialise/ recharge/ exercise/ whatever makes you happy, healthy and more chilled. Making money is important, but your personal wellbeing and health more important! ❤️

Even if it's getting me down I'll just power through it, and I know that's part of being an adult but like you said yourself, sometimes ya gotta take a step back and that's something I haven't been doing lately. Theres a lot of pressure on me at the moment. I'm desperately trying to save for a car and a house (well my boyfriend and I have agreed to 2 years of saving for the house) but the car is important a) to get to work because relying on various people is becoming very hard and b) so I could actually get to go horse riding again. My stables is quite far from where I live and really my only means of getting there would be a taxi but that's sooo expensive (15 euro both ways, out there and back home so that's an additional 30 euro on top of the 25 for the lesson and I cant afford to be spending that money when I could save it for a car of my own ya know) So theres that aspect too discouraging me from wanting to book lessons on my days off. Ugh being an adult is tough. I wish I could go back in time and slap 13 year old me around the town and tell her "you idiot, dont wish your an adult..... I've come from that time..... I've see things you cant imagine" 😂😂
