    Went on a trip to Japan in January of this year and this brings back some great memories of that trip. This reminds of a katsudon I made when I came back and will certainly try oyakodon next. Thank you!

      Chicken thighs tend to be more forgiving than breastmeat. I hope you enjoy it!

      Thanks! It's a bit of extra work, but I think this would work well with my Tofu Karaage too th-cam.com/video/4YUlUSvAThs/w-d-xo.html

      Thanks Nicholas! I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if you can use cornstarch instead of potato starch?

    Oyakudon always looks so delicious but I admit I cannot get over eating chicken and egg at the same time 😅 maybe some day 😂

      There are other types of Japanese rice bowls that don't include egg. Maybe you can start with one of those? Here's my rice bowl playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLP3Ew88wjvg_p6zCvuFG00tZ3Q1EG4Wee.html

    I wonder if there’s any other cuts of beef I can use for curry or shank is the only one

    • @NoRecipes
      @NoRecipes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any cut of beef that has enough fat/connective tissue on it to hold up to the long cooking time and still be moist will work. Shortribs, chuck or brisket are all good options.

      @@nickmorales8146 Hi, Nick! I just found your message this second. Sorry for the late response. My health isn't the greatest, so that is why I have not been posting on Maplecook. I have been making language learning content on my other channel, if you are interested. Marc was the one who urged me to do it.
