      Hope it all goes well. I made these originally as my sister had the same during lockdown. Her hair has grown back beautifully now but she'll still occasionally wear them, c x

    Thank you so much my hair fall out during the Covid because of d-vitamins deficiency. So I have bold spots all over my head. I need to make some head covering for the summer that aren’t to hot to match this works so well and so cute ❤❤❤and I can make the end longer to make it look like an African head wrap. Again thank you so much❤❤❤

    Nice hat idea. I underwent chemo last summer during lockdown....not fun at all but bearable. My friend made me some hats, and I made and bought some for myself, and your design looks comfortable and attractive. My hair has grown back so you can reassure your sister, her hair will come back. Mine used to be fine and straight. It is now fine and very curly! I think I look like a hobbit!

    I have alopecia and have been looking for a swimming cap that has a little more flair than the standard skull cap types. Because of the ties, this should work beautifully. I hope your sister is doing okay (5 months since this vid was published). Sending love. xx

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hope it stays put, you might want to make it a little tighter in case the jersey stretches when it's wet. Sister is doing ok thanks, she's been through the mill but well on the way to recovery, c x

    Do u have a print out so we can print the how to and measurements?

    how long is the fabric piece that's left once you cut the band piece off?

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used about a quarter metre of full width jersey which I think is 150cm wide. After cutting off my band there was at least a metre left to make the crown and ties. All that will happen if your fabric is shorter is your ties won't be as long, c x

  • @HBates
    @HBates 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you provide the dimensions of the tie band before trimming to angle the ties please?

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have any left at home to measure I'm afraid. I'm fairly sure I used a third of a metre of jersey which is usually 115cm wide. does this help? c x

  • @charlescadlick9048
    @charlescadlick9048 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    After you cut out the head band what is the size of the fabric you have left ?

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me go back and think about that. It's been a while since I made the cap. I think I started with about 25cm of full width jersey. I'll take a look, c x

    Neighbor going through chemo and lost all her hair.. Would love to make this for her but cannot find pattern anywhere. Need length and width of crown to proceed. Thanks

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's isn't a pattern, we did it so that if someone didn't have a printer they could still make it. I've looked back through the demo and I've said for a 58cm diameter head you need a band that's 16cm x 42cm and a crown that's 33cm by 100cm. You can make this from a third of a metre of full width jersey, c x

    What was the measurements in inches

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've done a bit of conversion, the band will be 17" long by 6.5" deep, and the wrap bit is 39" long by 13" deep. Hope this helps, c x

    • @ayla8343
      @ayla8343 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please help me understand in inches the crown measurement’s…I followed using the 39 inch width but the measurement’s on either side of center doesn’t work…3.25 either side and then 16.25 leaves hardly anything for ties….please help me I’m in the middle trying to make this for my 13 year old granddaughter who has lymphoma…Sending love to you and yours.❤

    What width is your fabric? I love the look of this but couldn't actually follow your instructions 🤷 ☹️

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From memory the fabric is 150cm wide. It's a weird construction but once you've cut your pieces, made the band and tacked the scarf in place it should all become clear, c x
