Fun fact: most basic Marines don’t receive a sidearm. They are only issued to Officers and high ranking NCOs and Medics.
Pretty sure the medics are called corpsmen, because Navy.
You can't not equip a sidearm in bf4.

Sometimes they stole the enemies weapons.
The Japanese COULD have captured a Lee-Enfield from fleeing or dead British troops in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Burma, Malaya etc. and an American could have grabbed an MP40 as a WAR TROPHY in both the North African and European theaters.

Uzi isn't even the "stereotypical" bad guy gun as far as biker gang stuff goes so much as an AK or Mac10
It's the only gun I managed to get 1500 kills on when I was playing Hardline. People think it's the worst because they don't play to it's strengths. It's the Submachine gun you drill through snipers with, it's a laser gun. It's especially good if you're on console, where recoil management is harder and guns that are dominant on PC are trash because of their recoil.
Everyone said the K10 was good but I never saw it and rarely used it. The Uzi, meanwhile, wasn't everywhere, but the guys who did use it were the best guys on their team consistently.

i feel like historically accurate loadouts should have a small chance of having a small damage boost, small reload speed boost, but make you move slightly slower. probably about a 10-15% chance

The type 38 Arisaka was edited with a long barrel, which made the muzzle flash and the white powder almost invisible.
With this, many un-conventional tactics worked against the Americans because they had no clue where they were getting fired.
Downside is, due to the dust cover(That original circle thing in the back of the bolts)
The users who were using this at close range, or an quiet place was revealed due to how clunky and loud the dust covers were making during the bolting.

As a U.S. Marine we now use M4’s as the standard service rifle for Infantry. M16A4’s are more for POG’s and Drill. Some 0311’s Also use M27 IAR’s if they are the IAR gunner for their fireteam. Also it’s typically the squad leader, team leader, or grenadier with the 203. Accurate loadout for 8-10 years ago though.

@@little_weed192 Not that I know of. A marksman rifle is usually semi automatic if not always and the m16 was long by design. Infantry used it in the Vietnam war at close quarter battles

Well... Japanese had arisakas with scopes. If i recall correctly soldiers that had those assigned assigned to didnt even go through any sharpshooting training. The sight itself was quite low magnifying one So it was More like an ACOG today is

Cheefu The main fighting powers in WW2 were industrial powerhouses. Supplying scopes would be no problem. However, it would be impractical. Clearing buildings with riflemen would be harder (Even with their NCO’s submarine gun) and it would require additional training.

Actually in world war 2, although it was more common for them to use iron sites, the Japanese did often put scopes on there rifles for long range engagements

I wanted every Battlefield game to do this, to give the games an edge of realistic gun usage.
Instead, I play battlefield 1 on a map set in 1915 (Cape Helles) and the whole team uses MP18 Submachine guns (made 3 years later)- but we're on the Anzac side- who never even used MP18s.

Idk if any are still up but BF1 had some servers that had each faction using the bolt action rifle they used in ww1 no matter what class you play
