Shazam was so delightful. The convenient store scene had me dying when he handed the gun back to the robber just to shoot him again.
So many moments in that film are just so rewatchable. Like, the scene where Sivana is "monologing" in the middle of their fight, and Shazam is all like: "Uh, hello?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!"
Just a brilliant way to playfully flip a middle finger to tired old movie tropes.

I'm not going to lie, I did not expect anything from this movie. but, in the end, it turned out to be good. DC found the way.
Anime W, DC has Aquaman, Wonder woman, Shazam, man of steel hell even Batman v Superman the ultimate editon are very good DC hasn't lost it's way.

This movie was better than anybody thought it would be honestly. I'm glad DCEU is slowly (or rapidly) gaining popularity again.
DC is not back on track and wont be as good as it used to be. But Marvel is going to be going down hill now to

Unwisesaucer because Marvel’s number 1 profit is finished. The majority of the cast finished their contracts and that’s what made the Avengers franchise so successful.

It felt like the superhero version of "Home Alone," if that makes sense. Because it was just so ridiculously cute, and safe for kids to watch, yet it still hit on all the enjoyable notes for general audiences.

shazam wasn't a superhero movie to me, but a movie about family. and it touched my heart because i relate to the themes and characters. THAT is a good movie.

It was hilarious when he said “ I will feast on your heart... SLOWLY.” The movie did such great job at poking fun of the cliche villain speech. I was laughing so hard in the theater.

Originally, this was going to be one film with Shazam and Black Adam meeting and clashing, but the producers decided to split the film into two origin films for both characters, with Black Adam (2022) being its own story set in Ancient Egypt with other heroes. However, Black Adam is mentioned in the film as an ancient champion the Wizard had chosen, who went bad. Dwayne Johnson, who produces the film and who was cast as Black Adam, had his facial features used for the magical portrayal of the champion.

For being honest I’m not a DC movie person. I have always loved Marvel movies more. But since Wonder Woman and Shazam! came out, I fell in love with those movies, so different of what I used to see on DC. I hope they can keep the path that they are building with those movies. So good! Please not hate! It’s just my taste and point of view as a viewer.
