I'm really grateful for all your very clear simple instruction of all the line dancing steps. So very helpful. Understanding the sift of my weigh has given me success. 😊 Thanks.
This was great! I’m not new to dancing, but I’m new to swing. After 20 years of ballet, swing is quite different. I couldn’t find any swing tutorials for the drunken sailor. I was thrilled to find your videos. You’re a terrific instructor. Thank you!
Thank you Patty U R so generous and beautiful teacher !! Please stay dancing n sharing GBU! Fyi. Nowdays I am trying to teach my self n dance together wt my friends coz I got this for free so I feel free to share to others too😎😎
Sorry to disagree, but all these steps are not syncopated. The "one and" are just like quarter notes in music transcription. Speak to a musician, who will explain in detail.
I understand what you’re saying (as much as I can with no musical training) and I’ve had this discussion with other people. As I’ve talked to people who are pretty much legends in line dance world the consensus has been that while what you’re saying is true in music, this is the way syncopation is generally taught in line dance. I had a pretty heated discussion with a friend/dancer who is musical which is what led me to seek the wisdom of some of the giants in line dance world. My friend and I had to just agree to disagree. 😉

The half steps are like quarter notes on the piano. Maybe learning to dance won't be so hard.
