Us HVAC and refrigeration guys are drooling for this..
yeah till we see the price tag on that 5cfm pump lol
Vacuum pumps are used anytime that the system ends up being open to air because that allows moisture into the system. It pulls non-condensable materials/gases out of the system. You repair/put system back together then pressure test to verify no leak then you hook up the vacuum pump to either the manifold or a vacuum gauge, and turn the pump on. You take it down either about 400/500 microns or -30 psi. Once you hit that, you have a good vacuum just like outer space. Doing this dramatically decreases the chances of another major repair at the company's expense soon.
Awesomeness 👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone ITS REALLY NICE LIKE
Damn bro you told him exactly how to do the whole gig didn’t you? I don’t even think half of my service tech know that much, I got a small HVAC company in Tuscaloosa Alabama
@@ToolReviewZone exactly
@@chaddarr4834 You hiring?
I really like my pump. It works great. Vacuums fast. Pulled 70’ of 5/8 3/8 lines in 14 mins. To 350 microns. That’s with large vacuum hoses and cores removed.
I'm starting a gofundme for $849.99 (+tax) so we can get Clint one of these and make him regret posting this clickbait title!!! lol.
And maybe get him a lip reading class or 2 while we're at it! Thanks for the hilarity in your delivery, Clint. It was real nass like!
hahaha, I thought my lip reading was spot on Jason lol
This is a great product for me as I’m in the Appliance repair field and use a vacuum pump for Refrigeration sealed systems.
Nice, appreciate the feedback brother
Young A/C guys - Greatest thing ever. Old A/C guys - Saving the planet bullcrap! Grab a 300 foot extension cord and get the job done.
Two stage, nice!
Haha, still don't know what it does though Philly 🤣🤣👊
It sucks all the air and moisture out of the refrigerant lines that run between the compressor and fan coil so you can fill them with refrigerant. You don't want air or moisture in the lines -- mositure reacts with the refrigerant and can corrode the compressor coil. Two-stage pumps can suck more of the air/mositure out than single stage.
Philly with the information 👊👊👊
Fieldpiece 10cfm and best hvac warranty hands down
As of why no one is talking about the lip reading part is beyond me! Hahahaha
Lol
This is amazing! Been waiting for Milwaukee to release it!
As like most Milwaukee tools it is a bit pricey. I’ll catch it on sale during Christmas like I do with most of my higher end tools.
For some reason, this is one of those items I don’t think we’ll get to see you on sale
I don't think you even see it at the store.
Sounds cool for small systems but definitely not gonna work when you need to leave a vacuum overnight lol
Why you need to leave a vacuum overnight? Just curious? I'm in the residential business I don't have experience on commercial
I’m curious about this too?
@@rafahvac3713on big commercial or industrial system or very critical monitored system they expect you to reach 300 microns and they want prove so it takes a very long time to reach the desired 300 microns or below it takes up to 24 hours or longer
Navac has one too. I work in Hvac and the only advantage this has over all the rest is that it’s an easy transition IF you own the batteries already.
Navac has their cordless for $540 w/ a battery and charger from TruTech.
The Pump Pulls a vacuum on the ac system to burn the water off when water is under 15 to 20 plus inches of mercury the water boils and evaporates and what he is doing is using the vacuum pump to burn off and evaporate the water in the system as well as making sure the system holds a vacuum so that way when he puts the freon back in the system he knows there is no leaks the colored cables are for the hot side and cold side of the freon as well as the yellow cable is for injecting the leak detection dye and the freon into the system there all the same setup as doing ac for vehicles as well as house hvac... hope that helps Clint @Tool Review Zone
Antonio with the information bomb 👊👊👊
Antonio, your one smart cookie. 👍
The vapor is removed by venting to the atmosphere when the pump ballist is open, in deeper vacuum the ballist should be closed and vapor is trapped in the vacuum pumps oil
@@timothyfischer5160 very well said
Glad you brought this to my attention. Kinda Pricey. But really convenient
Right on brother
Bro!!!! Seen this on a Facebook group a couple days ago and thought for sure it was fake. I can't wait for this tool!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
Seems pretty cool for a new system install. Fresh line set wouldn’t take long to pull a good vacuum on. I probably wouldn’t get this though from a service commercial standpoint just from the fact that, I already am going to have to run an extension cord for my recovery machine to get the refrigerant out of the system before the repair, so it wouldn’t make sense to not use my larger CFM pump at that point.
Like button SMEEEEEEEEEEEEEESHED
thanks FR!

Hello Clint..👍👊
Hi John!!!!!!!
Bro let’s goooo!!! 💪🏻 🔥 hey man my channel ain’t big enough but if they send it to you, send it my way I’ll do a review 🤣 😂 !! There’s battery powered options currently but I bleed red!!
The lip reading on point
It is vacuum pump oil. It has to be changed out after a few uses or if it hasn't been used in a long time because it absorbs moisture
Ahhhh, thanks brother
That is a game changer. I want one👍👍
I’ve been in apartment maintenance for 25 years. My specialties are plumbing and HVAC. You ever want edumacated, hit me up.
How come they didn’t release a recovery machine at the same time?! You will still need cord for that… also if anyone has used the tru blu hoses than you’d know a vacuum even on large system could be achieved. As long as the system isn’t too contaminated.
I literally just made a similar comment before I saw yours, regarding the recovery machine. I figure though if you are installing residential splits, it’s fresh lines so no recovery needed.
A2L means it is okay to be used with flammable refrigerants
Cfm and run time seems fine for residential, I'd be Interested in the motor horsepower though
I also got the guys saying something like, "Tool Review Zone guy's eyes are Dreamy". I don't know, that's what I got. 😁🍺🍺👍
hahahaha
Thank God I'm a HVAC Contractor
It’s a big no for me. 90 min of run time isn’t long enough…maybe for a ductless unit or a 2ton unit with a small line set. The other no is 5cfm is just okay especially when compared to the 12 cfm on my truck. I can rob power from almost any power source to get the power I need without needing 300ft of extension cords (commercial and industrial setting). So having a cordless unit isn’t that big of a deal. Jb already makes a cordless unit, ironically that takes m18 batteries…so I guess there is that too
Bro I thought the 12cfm was like huge on wheels? Navacs 12 cfm was only one I've seen and it was huge! I would rather change a batter 1 hour in then get an extension cord out lol. Yeah I'm lazy and love milwaukee so I'll let u know how it is when I get it lol
5cfm and 90 min run time is perfectly fine for just about every residential, 12cfm would not be worth it as it only helps the very start of the pull, when in vacuum motor horsepower will help. Change vac oil, pull pins, don't use manifolds, use large vacuum rated hoses and connections with some nylog, make sure no leaks, and brake with nitrogen a few times to only a few pounds then 90 minutes will be plenty
That’s one battery worth of charge though. I know for me, even though I work on large commercial systems, I have many Milwaukee batteries so I could run this thing 8 hours if I wanted lol
CFM only matters tell your in microns. At 5k microns CFM no longer matters.
@ajbedenis Get a cheater cord or make one yourself don’t need an extension cord.
Most good pumps are $600+ so it’s not a bad price at all I pre ordered one today so I guess we will see how it works. I do residential so it should be good I got a corded I’ll keep on the truck just in case but most everything I’m doing only requires 1 hour tops.
So this is all well and good but can it run for 1/2 an hour on a single charge if not it’s likely not going to be super popular. Y because when leak checking systems those pumps run a long time then it hast to be able to maintain the vacuum. So we will see
Leak check with nitrogen. If confirming in vacuum just pull some microns and valve off, if the leak rate (micron rise) trends more exponentially it is a leak, If the leak rate tappers off it is probably moisture from my experience.
Probably more accurately "decay" sorry
Man thats pretty awesome! If I did HVAC work still I would definitely buy that. I sure do not miss 20+ years of doing that crap!
seems like a tough job for sure brother. I couldn't do it that's for sure
Yeah man it's no fun sweating ballz for 10 hours a day working on a/c's and then get called out on emergency calls after hours.
@danreger8924 ahhh man I believe it Danger. I had to make a call out once on a holiday. Felt horrible doing it. He didn't look very happy either 🤣
@@ToolReviewZone 😂😂😂 Nope! He was like my life sucks and my job sucks worse! I will do home renos the rest of my life and be happy! Home on weekends with the fam with no interruptions.
Not have to find power is cool. Not having to run a pigtail for a cord. Might be worth it
Where can we buy these
As far as I know there isn't anything battery powered that does this for HVAC. This is a pump and vacuum for freon (refrigerant) R12, R134 etc. You need this pump to reclaim the gas oil in a system to service it. Normally you have to evacuate the system of air before adding any gas back in. And 9 times out of 10 there's no outlet near by that's 110v since most ac units run on 220v or higher. So this is a game changer.
Interesting brother, thanks for the feedback PFAB 👊
@ToolReviewZone my dad ran his own company for HVAC and I used to help out when I was younger. He was certified. I'm just a sheet metal worker.
Actually Navac makes 2 different models of vacuum pumps that are also battery powered. Their capacity is 2 CFM and 4 CFM and they cost about 550USD & 650USD respectively.
JB has a battery powered vac pump out and has been out for a couple years. They even have an adapter to do corded if needed. Issue is now with the new A2L refrigerants coming out your gonna want a spark proof unit.
Shows you how long I have been out of this side of the trade. Like I mentioned this was a while back with my dad and I don't do this for a living. But good to know
Will this pump work on automotive ac systems?
Yes
Yo Clint! Do you do HVAC? 🤣
haha, I do not just to make myself clear lol
Most battery pumps are less cfm. Jb has a 5 cfm for over a grand. Ill definitely give this a try since I already have batteries. I think its priced fair vs cordless competitors.
Not in HVAC. Smeeeeeeshed the like button anyway.
this seems like an absolute hack for those RTU repairs. next they should make a recovery machine and manifold gauge with a micron gauge built in.
If it includes the battery then it’s worth it!
$849 is a great price! Pretty standard for milwaukee prices. U pay a little more than a competitor but always worth the red
I too can read lips and I'm pretty sure he said something to the effect of "this new Milwaukee tool and the a/c system costs less than the lumber Clint uses on the TRZ"
No way i would ever pay that for a V pump. outrageous price
Can we talk about the 2 year warranty on the tool please? So is this the tip of the iceberg where there’s no more 5 year warranty on Milwaukee tools?
Look up what tool has what warranty. Not all Milwaukee battery operated tools have a 5 year warranty. 2 years isn't bad for a vacuum pump. Really easy to kill if you don't know what your doing
I want milwaukee to release a wet table saw🥺 I'm tired of pulling out cords
Brands like NaVAC has been around offering cordless pumps for a while, they do work with limitations
Makita also offers a cordless vac pump.
This milwaukee pump it’s way over price as any specialized tool Milwaukee product.
Corded pumps blow battery pumps away. These are only good for when plugging in is not an option. Better load up on batteries as these eat 'em up.
Appreciate the feedback.
I am a Milwaukee fan boy, but I have to say that I believe this tool ... SUCKS REALLY HARD ... sorry, it had to be said.
Haha 🤣
Nooice!
Reason why it won't be on channel again: 1:35
I would rather buy the Milwaukee m18 power source and run my current pump for the limited amounts of time where not having power is an issue.
That's a really high price for a pump hopefully it's comes down.
IT EVACUATES A REFRIRATION SYSTEM DOWN TO 500 MICRONS...ALL REFRIGERENT HAS TO BE WEIGHED AND RECORDED..THIS EMPTIES THE SYSTEMS FOR DIFFERENT REASONS...A LEAK...ETC...ITS GREAT IF IT WORKS GOOD AND THE PRICE IS MIDDLE OF THE ROAD...THEY ARE ALWAYS corded
Milwaukee had the HVAC business in darkness for years, and now shows up whit an overpriced tool that is not new in the trade. I'm definitely a Milwaukee guy, but I feel it disrespectful.
This was on sale just last week for $399
How, it was just announced today 🤔
Yea remember that it was the mildookie
@daniellebecky4596 hmm, maybe it was an earlier model, or corded version. I mean, anything is possible I guess 🤷
@@ToolReviewZone your right, my bad. I just checked our supply list from last week and it's a corded version
I’ll stick to my JB platinum with a set of widow maker jumpers. No need to run a cord unless system has bad ground. Don’t see this product lasting longer than any quality vacuum pump
it's stupid expensive for the power, I'll stick with cord till it's comparable in price and power
That cost is too much for me I don't see much innovation other than it can be battery operated which they're already some out there at a lot cheaper price. For me I'll stick with my Fieldpiece VP67 which is about $450 which a lot of coworkers gave me crap about, most of the use a $150 model highly doubt any of them would spend $800 on a vacuum pump. Again fieldpiece vacuum pump has way more innovations for the money not battery operated but still most of us techs use jumpers or extension cords.
this price is over price and 5cfm you can get a cheap corded 200 bucks
Appreciate the feedback 👊👊
😎🛠️😎🛠️😎
Not worth price cause we been usin corded pumps for nearly a century. For that $ u can get a TEZ8 that is rebuildable and oem sells every part for it lol
$849 for a 5 cfm pump is not worth it, I have a JB platinum dual voltage that’s a 7cfm and for $600 it’s much more better
It's an overpriced pump, nothing special honestly
👍🏼👍🏼
smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshed
worst review ever
@@patrickpk6299 glad you loved it
Overpriced unless it comes with batteries
It does. Usually cost 200 by it self. Kit also comes with a charger
Sorry don't need this I'm a sparky
