What a thoughtful, easygoing, good humored & cool guy Micah is. Physically & mentally robust with a wry streak and a sparkle in his eye. Impossible not to like. This reminds me of the America of old that sometimes these days feels quite hard to find.
100% yes!! Sometimes you have to be close to death at some point to REALLY appreciate life. Same thing goes for people that have been in prison for 20+ yrs. Most of the time you have to lose everything/someone to really appreciate what you/who you have!
I had lymphoma when I was 19, I’m 27 now. It took many years to get over the PTSD. I still did this day have some PTSD when I’m feeling sick. But I am now a husband, a father and a homeowner. I am truly blessed to be where I am today.
Prayers you stay healthy and the PTSD leaves your mind in peace. in Jesus name be healed. Amen

Can be a year, can be 10 years, 20, but it almost always comes back. "Cure" is science fiction terminology, no cure for any disease exists or that they will tell us about. And it's NOT tumeric.

First... thank God for his recovery. Being able to see him a month later for a cancer update turned out to be a blessing. Seeing his health return was inspiring and amazing. Capturing just that alone makes the video worth it. It made me really feel for the man, whether he is a Trump supporter or not. When he said, "I beat cancer." I almost teared up I was so moved.
Second... this is the first video of yours that I'm watching. I had no idea what to expect and I have no idea at this point what your personal political aspirations are, in any way. That being said, it was awesome to see you both singing along to Trump's entrance song and just enjoying yourselves, basking in the patriotism and blessings of America. I literally was at my desk clapping for you guys, even though nobody could see or hear me. Even if you both were dems, I appreciate you enjoying being Americans and celebrating your country. We don't always get that with dems.

I respect Micah and how headstrong he is I can also relate to him with how relationships with others are important. It’s also funny how being so close to death it can open your eyes to what’s important. When I got in my motorcycle accident I died on scene and by some miracle I woke up as I was being bagged up I spent around a week in the ICU and that made me realized how much I took my relationships with others for granted. My family and friends came to see me even though most of them lived hours away they put everything aside for me. They spent months nurturing me back to health because I was very messed up. That just made me grateful for having the people I love around me and for god giving me a second chance to continue being here.

As someone who has walked away from the Democrats after 50 yrs as a lefty liberal, I have never had conservatives be unaccepting of me or disdainful. They were always very welcoming. But now, those on the left are so unkind about my change in thinking. Their intolerance of my differences in thought and opinion have lost me friends and people have treated me poorly. It has made me realize how much more judgemental and less open minded I was then I thought I was so open minded.
I too was a Democrat but the Democrat Party walked away from me in 2016. They no longer represent working & middle class Americans. It’s like the parties have completely switched. Republicans have become the party of free speech, no war, parental rights, religious freedom, diversity & inclusion. Democrats are now the party of elitists. All of Hollywood supports Democrats. They are completely intolerant of views that don’t align with their own. Vote Trump/Vance2024

I've had the same experience's with Democrats also. Rather than having a intelligent conversation, all I ever get is nasty comments about myself and President Trump! Trump is bringing Unity to our Country! Just take a look at the diversity of his supporters! We don't care about the color of your skin, religion or same sex couples! My wife is a Democrat. Not far left, but pretty liberal. I am a right leaning Independent. If people want to get along. They will. My wife is absolutely amazing. We don't have much in common when it comes to politics. I don't know what I would do without her.

That started out as a fiery conversation until we reach the point that we understood each others point of view. I think her and I being opposites is what makes our relationship so healthy. They say opposites attract. Pretty spot on with us. It's easy to get upset when someone doesn't agree with you. It takes real courage to continue a conversation with someone that doesn't agree with you. We need to get there as a country.

I’m married to a democrat and I’m conservative. We have been married for 21 years and we just don’t talk about politics. We can talk about anything but we just agreed not to talk politics. We’ve never argued in 21 years and our home is peaceful.

I'm grateful for the immigration we've had in our country (against ILLEGAL immigration). I'm grateful for the freedom of thought and speech. I even served 8 yrs active Duty Marine Corps to help make sure it stays that way.
Its unfortunate that so many people are fighting in our own country to NOT have the freedoms I, and others, have enlisted to protect.
I live in a town about 60% liberal and about 40% conservative. When you know a lot of people on both sides, you learn to accept it. When I go to places that are 90% one way (in either direction) people’s opinions become more radical because they rarely meet someone on the other side and feel like the other side is either racist or woke.
I do think living in a place with a balanced ratio is a good spot to live.
Probably a less accurate generalization but I live in the south with a pretty large black population. A northern friend of mine called me racist because I support Trump and I was like brother down south we interact with black people every day in every way. If you're genuinely racist you aren't gonna make it here. The random dude who spotted me in the gym and now helps me with my lifts is black. One of my high school friends I play pick up ball with is a black Democrat. When anything like politics or demographics become ubiquitous it's easier to see that we're all more alike than different and for the most part we all want the same things.
I still think killing babies, funding endless wars, open borders, making young people believe you'll cancel their student debt, staging interviews, states banning voter ID, installing candidates that didn't receive a single vote, covering up biden mental state, trying to lock up a popular political opponent, out of context clips and propaganda in media, drag shows for kids and woke culture, etc. etc. etc. is bad regardless of how many people I'm around who believe one way or another. To just decide to "get along" is just accepting all of this and letting it get worse. This is why all these things happen in the first place. And everyone is addicted to social media and staring at their phones to notice everything falling apart.

I live in AZ and this honestly hits close to home (literally) Id say AZ is a lot of conservatives and republicans, and the ones I see are very intense about it, but this made me kinda realize that we’re all human beings with lives and beliefs. Like I’d see a Trump supporter and immediately believe they’re crazy, but now I realize they’re aware of these things and are a lot more open than what some believe. Micah was a great pick, for this experiment. I have respect for some of the things he said.
I'm from Iowa, live in a small town that is mostly conservative, I'm liberal and my hometown 15 minutes away from me is a college town, mostly liberal. I did grow up on a farm, in the middle of a cornfield, just outside of my home town.
In my experience, agreeing with one thing Micah said, having compassion for one another is so important. As much as I view things a certain way, there are a number of people in my life I care about, that are conservative Trump supporters. That doesn't change the fact that some of these same people are still good people, with good hearts. Take away politics - My neighbors next door, my (liberal) dad's (conservative) best friend, several dear friends, some aunts and uncles are people that would help or be there for anyone in need. These particular people in my life are loving/caring parents, spouses, members of their community, etc. Regardless of their political views, I feel fortunate to have them in my life.
I really hope to see our country settle down, again. The political climate we have been living in, has been unlike anything I would have ever imagined to see, in my lifetime.

- The infrastructure bill which this country desperately needed.
- The CHIPS act which helped stimulate our economy and increase the GDP growth.
- Student loan forgiveness which enabled more money to stimulate the economy and lead to less poverty.
- Over the counter birth control pills
- Lowering the price of prescription drugs including insulin.
- Expanded overtime pay.
- Inflation reduction act which decreased the inflation cause by covid and Trump’s tax cuts from 7 percent to under 3 percent.
- The bipartisan safer communities act.
- The PACT act
- Respect for marriage act
- The rejoining of the Paris agreement.
- The executive orders on environmental justice
- Protecting the Affordable Care Act which if you received any medical services that act benefited you with significant lower health insurance costs.
- Criminal justice reform.
- Tapping into oil reserves to reduce gas prices.
Before you mention the border they put forth multiple bills that would have rectified the border issue but Trump shut down all of them because he didn’t want to give the democrats a win. He doesn’t have the country’s best interests in mind only his own.
Im a conservative and a Trump supporter and id admit we can probably go on for a while about music and wrestling

Trump is an atheist himself anyway. He says he's a Christian because let's be honest - it's just necessary to get the conservative vote (ESPECIALLY the Evangelicals which really back him), but it would be insanely naive to think Trump is genuinely religious. I view this as a positive by the way. I can respect that he just has to claim he's religious because that's how the game is played, and I really like the fact that he doesn't really believe that stuff (and that it's so easy to tell). The Christian Right that is so into him really look foolish for praising him like he actually gives a fuck about religion though .They are just really bad at using their own judgment. It's the same lack of critical thinking and questioning things that I guess is part of why they're also so religious in the first place as well I suppose though.
I voted for Trump myself, but yeah, the religious right really bothers me for many reasons. Like it's pretty damn obvious Trump would never decide to go to church on his own without a calculated political reason for it. Really it just makes his Evangelical supporters look like completely naive suckers / useless idiots. The fact they think he actually gives a shit about them is actually sad. They have an almost childlike view of the world.

My wife was an undecided but open-minded Filipina, we went to the Vegas rally and she totally opened her eyes, the crowd was diverse, the entertainment and speakers were diverse, the thoughts were diverse, there was positivity and hope, and no hecklers! Trump gave a specific shoutout and compliment to Filipinos and now she is campaigning and convincing people in her community to vote Trump.

One thing I'd like to say is, yes, they both had a really busy day,and perhaps they didn't like the food,but you 2 have to remember regardless of age. Micha is on cancer treatment. That in and of itself is exhausting and painful. Nothing is wasted, guys. It's the effort you're putting into friendship and experiences. Nothing is an accident. I'm glad you chose these 2. Micah, God bless you! I pray God healed you and removed every cancerous cell from your body. My mom had cancer twice, in her 80s! And she beat it both times and is still living a good life. I know it was her belief that pushed her through.

I was at a Trump rally. It was absolutely amazing people bonded so good. We had such a good time. It was great. He is great for this country. Him and JD. Vance are going to make this country great again without a doubt they are both strong men, they are both strong leaders, the United States will once again be the top country in the world

What Micah said about how you would get a good grade as long as you agreed with the teacher is undoubtedly true. I grew up in a pretty democratic town and most of my friends are democrats and I love them especially for our differences but pretty much my entire school life YOU DID NOT talk about your own independent/ conservative beliefs because you would be shut down immediately even if you had a point. Most of my teachers did this as well and that caused a huge gap in my relationship with school.
As an actual 90s kid, never had I ever thought sayinhg "there is only two genders" or "all lives matter" would potentially get you fired from your job, or vilified in your community

Huh! I lean like, softly left I'd say. I grew up in a libertarian household and that definitely colors my worldview a bit but I'm more liberal than I am conservative.
But this made me realize like ??? all of my friends are VERY left except my best friend who is the same "soft left with libertarian influences" that I am. And I do think a lot of that has to do with the fact that I mostly exist in queer spaces which tend to be very liberal. But despite me not being far off from some conservative beliefs I can't name a single conservative friend I have other than a few family members.
And I am a HUGE proponent of avoiding us vs them and allowing for differing perspectives in your life because you cannot grow without giving yourself opportunities to experience different things. Maybe this is something I should consider more directly...

Can you answer something for me? What has being liberal done to help the queer community? Because, in my opinion, it seems to be destroying what being queer actually means and diluting it with narcissistic psychos. Again, just my opinion.
Im conservative, If I lived near, I would be friends with you just because you are open minded to do so.
The complexity of why it is so divided is hard to sum up but in essence we are persuaded to focus on our own differences all the while none of us particularly trust the government. It is a distraction strategy to keep us focused on nonsensical matters rather than the real issues we face, often times created by the government.
If we begin to form an identity surrounded by our political beliefs than we are based in a world that is barely more than theater. A large portion of our government does not care about us, and it has become apparent they are no longer trying to hide it.

FUN FACT: Planned Parenthood SAVED my daughter's life when I was pregnant with her. I was essentially being pushed into having an abortion, but at my actual appt, the Doctor refused to do it and i couldn't be more grateful! 🙏🏼 My miracle baby and only child is now a senior in high school and will be a full-grown adult here in a few months.❤
The whole story is obviously much longer and, IMHO, pretty inspiring! I don't think a lot of people who are 'against' Planned Parenthood truly understand how much good they also do and just tend to go off on the whole abortion thing. My daughter isn't all that thrilled that she's so close to being able to vote, yet has to wait another 4 years. That said, she is adamant that it's crucial for Harris to win, as she's stated her future depends on it.
Granted, half our friends and family are for Trump, the other half for Harris. It's definitely caused division these past 8 years, but just love one another. That's what really matters. I agree 💯 with Micah on the whole relationship thing. And in all honesty, I can't wait until we can get passed all this, praying and assuming us Americans can. Reunited again. I'd rather vote for someone else altogether, but since we technically can't (because obviously only one of 2 main people will win is what I'm trying to say. Hope that makes sense), I'm voting with whom I feel is the best fit for our beliefs despite resonating with both sides, there's a slight pull on one end.
Anyways. Regardless, love one another. It never hurts to be kind even if you disagree on things. Love is the only way to move forward. 🩵
